What are this Morford's bonafides that make him a pundit on anything in real life?  By stating "Just a woman", he makes it obvious he hates women, real women anyway.  To call Laura Bush sexless points out his lack of observation or may point out something else entirely.  They could put Hillary's or Teresa's face on little plastic discs and sell them as saltpeter.  For a man to spew this kind of venom at a beautiful woman, I'd say he has a man-crush on George.

You know, maybe Laura Bush just doesn't like to be the center of any kind of media attention.  I wonder if Moford ever considered that?  Personally, I think she is a very classy woman, and it has nothing to do with the fact that she is content to remain out of the spotlight.  She wasn't elected to her position.  No one is elected first lady, because, other than playing hostess on occasion, there really are no inherent duties consigned to the first lady.  You could be first lady and do absolutely nothing all day long and it wouldn't change the way the country runs one little bit. 

I've read quotes and heard sound bites of Hillary as first lady, and she had absolutely no class as far as I'm concerned.  It had nothing to do with the fact that she was actively involved in Bill's day-to-day policy making.  It had everything to do with the fact that she cusses like a sailor with tourette's, and treated most of her staff like crap.  And I wasn't at all surprised to learn those things about her.  I would be VERY surprised to find out that Laura Bush has a potty mouth and treats people like dirt on her shoes.  She acts like a lady.  Why is it that liberals and feminists consider "acting like a lady" a bad thing??

Oh, and as an aside, if Moford's critera for being an admirable woman includes outspoken "ballsy-ness," he must really love Ann Coulter... somehow I'm thinking he makes an exception for outspoken CONSERVATIVE women...

There's so much wrong with this guy's article it's hard to explain without charts. However here's just two quick observations.

1)On Hillary "because she dared to be the opposite of meek and quiet". I wish people who write this crap would at least get the definition of meek. Meek does not equal weak and shy. Meek is strength under control. Something I have never seen a Cliton exhibit.

2)Also on Hillary: "But the real problem was how badly she underestimated the violent, inbred misogyny and anti-feminism of the old-boys network in Washington)." So it's not ok for the good old boys of Washington to insult Hillary because that would be violent, inbred, misogyny and anti feminist, however it is ok to call Laura Bush and her daughters all sorts of names?

a woman who has two childen who attended college and have successful careers...who has written a book with one of her children about the joys of being a teacher and making a difference in a child's life. Who has indeed done the same, taught and helped children in their early life.

A woman who has stayed married to her first husband...a husband WHO DID NOT CHEAT ON HER WITH MANY WOMEN. A woman who earned her masters degree...a woman who encourages reading and literacy...a woman who brings to the media the plight of women in Afghanistan...a woman who is encouraging patriotism in American schools, the National Anthem Project.

Laura Bush exudes charm and class...a model first lady.  I wouldn't put too much stock in the juvenile blathering of one lefty provocateur.  She has been treated rather well by the media during the entirety of her husband's presidency--much better than her predecessor.

Morford, a Pelosi constituent and rabid babbler in Babylon-by-the-Bay makes his living utilizing his posion pen for the vicarious prurient enjoyment of Ess-Eff's Pelosianos and Liberalites. I woudn't give him to much serious effect outside of the Castro & Marina Districts - which have long been conservative wastelands. Morford preaches to the Kool-Aid choir - it's the only readship he has. Occaisonally he manages to place some red meat to us carnivorous conservatives but rarely has any resonance east of Reno.

While he lays in the street licking himself and enjoying his few seconds of praise and accolades from a small band of misfits, he and they convince him of his wit and insight. I get great comfort from knowing that what goes around comes around and one day he too will slam into the wall of life, or he will one day pick the wrong target and get his puny butt kicked through the goal posts of life.
