I hate to say it, but for a news service that is supposed to thrive on the facts, the Associated Press sure seems to leave out an awful lot of them in their wire stories. We've seen dozens of examples of that when they conveniently forget to mention the political party affiliation when a public servant caught up in crime or scandal and happens to be a Democrat. We have also seen the AP somehow forget to mention when a criminal happens to be an illegal alien. Well, here is yet anther case where a crime is committed by an illegal and the AP seems to have developed amnesia about the fact that the criminal is an illegal alien.

In AP's report headlined "Man Accused of Stealing 7-Year-Old's ID", the AP gives us the tale of a 7-year-old boy who's Social Security number was stolen, the theft discovered when the boy's mother tried to file her taxes. Their report is short and interestingly lacking one little detail...

CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Police in a Chicago suburb say the Internal Revenue Service has told a 7-year-old boy he owes back taxes on $60,000 because someone else has been using the youngster's identity to collect wages and unemployment benefits.

Officers in suburban Carpentersville said Friday the second-grader's identity has been in use by someone else since 2001.

Detectives have filed a felony identity theft charge against 29-year-old Cirilo Centeno of Streamwood, Ill.

OK, folks, take a wild guess what the legal status of our nefarious Mr. Cirilo Centeno is?

Well, you might be able to guess, but the AP sure isn't going to help you much. To fill out the facts of the case, we need to turn to the Chicago Daily Herald which reports that one tiny, little missing fact...(my emphasis)

Centeno said he bought the card for $50 from a friend and used it because he is in the country illegally, police said.

Gosh, what a surprise, eh?

Now, why is it that the AP felt it necessary to omit the fact that their criminal subject is an illegal alien? Is it not germane to the story? If they don't think so, how do they justify that claim?

Stunned....speechless......bu

Stunned....speechless......but of course, it's AP.

Well, unfortunately

Fox is the same way-does not identify the fact the thief is illegal. Oh, excuse me, alleged thief.

Do you think....

....maybe the "FOX" article is really the AP story in disguise...with a little detective work of my own I was able to see "Associated Press" right under the date, which was right under the title...it was a tough find, but I go the extra mile when it comes to pointing out how biased a news organization FOX really is. </sarc off>

Identity theft happened to

Identity theft happened to my son-in-law. Yes it was an illegal alien. He used my son-in-law's SSN. They made $26,000 and paid $27 in federal taxes. All the crap about them paying taxes is false.

On another note, I was rear ended on my motorcycle by a hit-and-rin illegal alien. When they caught him he had no insurance and was deported. No charges, no jail time, no fininancial responsibility.

I went to court last year (I

I went to court last year (I made a wrong turn). Anyway, in the courtroom was about 12 illegals because they didn't have a license. Did the ICE come and pick them up? Nope. They were fined and released. Crazy.

Actually

I should have added that little fact...last January (2007) we received bills from Sears, Penny's, and Macy's for the wonderful Christmas gifts we bought. Unfortunately we did not shop at those stores. Yes, it was illegals in Phoenix. In addition, they had our checking account numbers and bought quite a few Cricket phones. We had to do quite a bit of work on our own, but did straighten it out.

This is typical. It should

This is typical. It should be painfully obvious all these lib news outlet go the same marching orders, probably from the DNC.

FOX News

Did you ever consider the 'fact' that news organizations use AP/Reuters feed for news? There was once a time they could depend on it being the entire story. If they have to verify every story then there is no longer a need for the AP or Reuters. But then it's been coming to that for quite a while. You can now count on 99% of AP/Reuters stories to be wrong or outright left wing lies.

I can't wait until..

Bill O'Reilly confronts Geraldo Rivera with this one! Rivera will come up with all kinds of convuluted excuses as to why there is no connection with this man's crime and his 'illegality'.

Warner, there was a story

Warner, there was a story on tv news in the last couple of days where a woman in a mini-van ran a stop sign and ran into a school bus, killing four school children.  She is being charged with four counts of vehicular manslaughter.  They gave her last name in the report.  It was hispanic, but they said that was not her real name, that the police were trying to determine who she was.  Would you care to take a wager that she is an illegal alien?  I also suspect she had no valid driver's license, and that she was driving without insurance, though the report didn't say so.  I think this happened in Minnesota, but I'm not sure.  Have you heard anything about this?

Mike, I believe you were

Mike, I believe you were right on each of your suspicions on that story.... not that the news media is too interested in confirming that for you!
