Let some rogue nutjob blow up an abortion clinic, and even though the entire pro-life movement repudiates it, the MSM declares the whole movement guilty.  If pro-lifers practice civil disobedience ala Operation Rescue, and the MSM declares all pro-lifers prone to violence.  But let the anti-life crowd act like thugs and the authorities refuse to act, and all you hear are crickets.

It's often said, why don't moderate Muslims speak out more forcefully against the terrorists?  In the same vein, are all liberals as thuggish as this, or are the libs going to start reining in their extremists?

The courts are so insane when it comes to abortion that there's no guarantee Mr. Snell would win the lawsuit he's bound to file. 

When you put the clowns in charge, don't be surprised when a circus breaks out.

Thanks for the notice on this!  I live 15 miles from Harrisburg and it didn't appear on any of the local tv news programs or (as far as I can tell) the local newspapers.  I am surprised by the lack of coverage on the local level.  The question I have is 2 fold .... why not cover it? ...... and ...... who locally made the decision to kill the story.

No big deal here, the pro-death movement doesn't give a hoot about babies or the elderly.

I had a liberal tell me once that babies who are born with physical deformities don't deserve to live. Her reasoning was that it would cost too much to keep them alive. The money would be better spent on other things. I didn't even have a come back for her due to the fact that I was in shock!

If an abortionist so much as gets a skinned knee from a pro-life protester, the news media is all over it.  When pro-lifers are assaulted by the peaceful, tolerant, open-minded "choice" crowd, which happens fairly often, you hear nothing except from Catholic or pro-life sources.

The media is overwhelmingly pro-death for the unborn, the elderly, and the sick.  Reporting about assaults on pro-life protesters, clinics not reporting statutory rapes, or the many cases of quackery in supposedly safe and legal clinics that leave women sterile or even dead only gives the pro-life side more ammo.  We can't have any of that!  They're determined to protect the baby butchery industry at all costs.

And liberals say there is no bias in the 'news' media. The jump they make from pre-delivery status to post-delivery status is a huge one.  They say an unborn child is just part of the mother and as such her choice to do with it as she wants.  But if it truly were a part of her body, why wasn't she born with it?  It is a separate, independent being (short of needing nourishment from the mother) that will be delivered in nine months.  It will never be in the mother again.  It is not guilty of doing anything bad and is a result of the choice (usually) of the woman and a man make.  (That is where the choice is made, not after becoming pregnant.)

Then on the other end, when someone chooses to do bad, they scream if they are made to pay for their crimes!  It boggles my mind also.  They don't want there to be any punishment for criminals or terrorists.  Perhaps if we named capital punishment 'post-term abortion', they would jump on the cause and start putting those guilty of it to death to cease their threat to innocent citizens.  I know that is quite a jump on my part, but one can hope something will get through to liberals.

Warner. For some reason, that reminded me of the following event, which the media ignored, as well. I would imagine that had the Senator at the time been a leading Republican candidate in this years election cycle, that the press would have never stopped hounding them about the issue. I add to the story. A follow up account noted that Hillary never got out of the car to see if the officer was OK, and that no-one ever bothered to follow up with the officer to see if he was OK. Insensitive and uncaring comes to mind - with the "it takes a village - taking a back seat:

10/14/01) YONKERS - A bizarre accident at Westchester County Airport involved Senator Hillary Clinton's entourage Sunday.

Sources tell News 12 Westchester that a vehicle in Senator Clinton's security team tried to bypass a mandatory check point at the airport, which has been under a heightened state of alert since the terrorist attacks. A county police officer attempting to stop the vehicle from getting through injured his shoulder. That officer was taken to Saint Agnes Hospital in White Plains, and his condition is not known.

Senator Clinton, who turned 54 Sunday, was en route to board a private jet to an unreleased destination. The former first lady could not be reached for comment.

The msm never hesitates to report on the "pain at the pump" whenever gasoline goes up in the summer (surprise surprise people are driving more duh!). But pain inflicted from a pro deather to a pro lifer? No big deal. Just like two homosexuals torturing and murdering 13 year old Jesse Dirkhising got a big yawn from the msm. But when Matthew Shephard, a homosexual, was killed, the msm engaged in a frenzied outcry for a long long time.

So the msm couldn't give a crap about a human being getting attacked and/or murdered. They only care about what promotes the liberal agenda. That's why the media IS the Democrat Party, as Rush Limbaugh said.

I used to picket with Ed Snell. The waiting room for Hillcrest is in the front of the building, and the patients could see the prolifers out the windows. They'd go outside and talk to them, and they'd leave. So the clinic started making the women wait in their cars in the parking lot behind the building, then herding them like cattle into the building en-masse, hoping I guess that this would keep them from talking to the prolifers.

I was there one day, it must have been 90 degrees outside, and the women were sitting in their cars -- some of them with kids with them -- sitting and sweating with the windows down, trying to stay cool. Some "escort" came out and started waving a coathanger.

I told her, "Shame on you! You treat these women like this and pretend that you care about them! The staff are inside, enjoying the air conditioning that these women are paying for, while you leave them sweltering in their cars. You wouldn't treat a dog the way you treat these women! Shame on you!"

She came back and herded the women inside. 

The "privacy fence" is there because Ed Snell is effective. He's a sweet,  gentle man who would give you the shirt off his back. He and his family take in troubled young women. They cared for three kids while their mom was in prison. Anything those women need, Ed and his family will move Heaven and earth to see to it that they get it.

And for that, Hillcrest hates them.

Yeah, the staff hate him and think he got what he deserved, because he's a thorn in their side. They can't stand anybody who actually cares about the women.

The pro-abortion forces believe a woman has a right to end a pregnancy on the concept a woman has a right to 'privacy'.  The problem is that privacy rights are rights of property therefore their argument is an infant is the property of the mother.

If someone believes another can belong, as property, to another person that is in definition, slavery.  To follow further, since the woman has absolute property rights over her child, the pro-abortion forces believe this gives her the right to terminate the pregnancy, or murder the child.  This is further predicated on the age of the child, or ageism. 

It is twisted 'logic' the pro-abortion forces use.  It is clear from their philosophy, however, the age of a victim is less important than the right of a mother to enslave and utimately murder her child, or they wouldn't advocate partial birth abortion.

In essence the argument of the pro-abortion forces is that slavery and murder are a right (of the mother), so long as it is in some nonsensical way determined by the age of the victim...and we are surprised one would violently attack and attempt to murder (allegedly and in my opinion) an aged man trying to save the most innocent of all mankind?

I am surprised by the police involved here as well, but in my mind they are accessories to the crime and should be charged as such, either criminally and/or civilly for not doing their job, everyone should have equal protection under the law.  Just one man's opinion.

 My heart goes out to Ed and his family.  I wish him a speedy and full recovery.
