In the end, liberals ass seem to want the same thing: apply religious standards to the "social justice" issues, but on moral matters such as adultery and abortion, , THE WALL must never be breached.

This column is dangerous. It will reinforce the already wrong sentiments out there on the left that most of the worlds problems are a result, in most part, of Christians. The column also reinforces the stereotypes that Christians are really bad people, less than human, and should be shut out of societal debates. This article, if any more bigoted, (and I confess, I don't know if that's possible.) could be considered a blood libel. In fact, if you mark down this date, I'm almost certain hate crimes against Christians will increase as a result of this article. I mean, if the Washington Post prints it, it must be true. Right? Blood libel?

Maybe Bush and the Repulbicans are really followers of atheist Lenin and Trotsky then. I'd love to see some writer sit down and write a long-overdue hit-piece on the failings or downsides of, say, some extreme party/movement in Islam. What sort of reaction would THAT receive?....

 I am touched by a bit of irony in Meyerson's piece.  I don't think there has been a screed like this against a particular religion since the thirties.

With stirring up of their most ardent followers (Liberals),   What are we to expect next? A new version of Kristallnacht?

What's the difference between this and what Mel Gibson said about Jews starting all wars?  One was done by and angry, drunken man.  The other was published in a national newspaper.  Where is the outcry?

Some torture is done to exact revenge.

Some torture is done to satsify the torturer's sadistic impulses.

Some torture is done to coerce someone to lie before a camera.

Some torture is done to coerce someone to betray innocent people.

Some torture is done to intimidate OTHER people into doing the bidding of the torturer.

**Some torture is (temporarily) done in order to save hundreds of innocent humans from (permanent) annihilation.

It's wrong for the anti-torturers to pretend that all torture is the same.
