Daily Kos Week in Review: 'Sick Rantorum,' Terrorist Leader

Kossacks generally despise Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul, but they seem to truly hate Rick Santorum. A la Spinal Tap's Nigel Tufnel, the DKos gang cranked the venom up to eleven this past week, repeatedly alleging that Santorum and his followers would either like to, or actually might, unleash violence against all manner of minorities, especially gays.   

As usual, each headline is preceded by the blogger's name or pseudonym.

Once Santorum loses [to Obama]...the people who sided with the red-meat, Bible-über-alles, Obama-is-evil camp are not going to suddenly become quiet and harmless. They may increasingly decide to form their own enclaves within America, towns and even whole states that are run by Santorum-style theocrats. Some, on the fringe of the fringe, may even resort to domestic terrorism against liberals, atheists, Muslims, and LGBT people...

...While I agree that Obama would likely mop the floor with this bigoted asshole, it's just too dangerous. Not because he might win - I don't actually fear that - but because I don't think it's worth giving legitimacy to his theocratic views...

If Santorum is the nominee, the rumors in school won't be about how Obama wants to take all the flags, it will be about how gays want to run the country. They're sinful. They're pushing us towards that Man On Dog society.

And, in the sake of "fairness," the MSM will push this debate to its limits...

...Republicans, as most of us who see things clearly have known since the Bush Years, have wanted to turn [the U.S.] into a version of the Handmaid's Tale, a hardass Christian Theocracy that would seem different from Islamic customs only because of the clothing people wear and the general absence of beards....as well as the blinding whiteness of the Republican party and the 1%.

Their ugly and mean-spirited war on women - assailing personal choice, forcing them through all manner of humiliations, assailing Planned Parenthood; the list is endless - is absolutely no different than some cave-dwelling Mullah in Afghanistan howling about men not growing their beards or throwing acid on the faces of girls attending school...

They are out of control. Their side is no longer operating on the level of a side that is trying to win an election. They are trying to end us...They have nothing left, so why not drive some more kids into suicide? Why not send out signals to hate groups and get them to join in this fight that's fading out? They have nothing to lose. They don't have a presidency to lose because that was never in play. They can't win anything on their beliefs anymore. They are operating in death. They are terrorists...
