Latest Obama Fundraising Letter Asks Donors to Taunt Republicans When Donating (Possibly Illegally)

By Tom Blumer | December 13, 2011 | 23:08

Tom Blumer's picture

This one definitely does not go into the "how to persuade people that your cause is right" file.

Obama For America's latest attempt to beg people to contribute $3 to enter a drawing for a dinner with POTUS and FLOTUS has a pathetic, insufferable, punkish and privacy-invading twist, wherein you get the opportunity to tell a Republican acquaintance that you just gave money to the Obama campaign.

Here it is:

Just an aside, Julianna -- Someone putting up a Mitt Romney sign is probably not a conservative.

Geez, these people are more obsessed with birthers than the birthers.

Here's part of what you see if you follow the link:

ObamaGOPerInspired1211 ObamaGOPerInspired1211insts

Wow ... we're supposed to be impressed that someone gave three whole dollars to win a contest where the prize is a dinner with Barack and Michelle Obama.

I'm guessing that second prize is two dinners with Barack and Michelle Obama.

Also note that there is no reason to believe that the emails of those being taunted aren't being illegally collected for some other purpose. They certainly aren't being provided voluntarily by the taunted party. Where's the FTC when you need 'em?

If a Republican or conservative president or candidate did this, the press would properly be criticizing the utter boorishness and privacy invasion involved. As it is, expect stone silence, as was the case when Nancy Pelosi invoked the wonderfulness of the Occupy movement in a fundraising letter.

The fear of what these marxist commies are doing is out of control and am wondering how long it will take, to take America back. Issa, is a brave man and needs all our support to rid this type of government ASAP.

Submitted by LighthouseJ on Wed, 12/14/2011 - 12:27am.

It's like they want to assemble an enemies list, and be given money to do it.

It just has that smug sort of arrogance that I just need to take a shower after understanding how the campaign is trying to solicit donations this time.

I fear it's only going to get worse.

Submitted by ThisnThat on Wed, 12/14/2011 - 8:26am.

I think any future reference to "bullying" from this administration should be immediately countered by throwing this back in their face.

And you're right -- it's going to get much, much worse. This man thinks nothing about naming his enemies in public, be they Republicans, the Supreme Court, Israel, or Americans in general.

This comes from the same moron who gave you attackwatch.org. This type of behavior is typical of ghetto blacks when harassing an innocent victim in public. They converge on a single victim as a group. Obama isn't fit to pick up dogshit on the street.

Our Lilliputian President...

Submitted by Jimi Streets on Wed, 12/14/2011 - 3:31am.

As is their well established custom, the democrats and the president have taken the low road in their quest for unbridled power and control over our lives. OF COURSE they want our email addresses for one of their databases to be used for God knows what in the future.
They show their tasteless childishness constantly, this being only the latest example. It has been a well known fact that for decades now the democrats had perfected the art of lying and slander in such a way that only they or kids under twelve would find compelling or amusing. What is truly sad though is that millions of Americans buy it, hook, line, and sinker. The democrat leadership correctly assumes that their constituents are equally as shallow and classless as they are.
Our diminutive president had the historical mandate to carve himself, and the nation, a huge chunk of historical greatness by rising to the task of fulfilling the dreams of Lincoln, MLK, and others by bringing the nation together and facilitating needed healing of the painful divisions among the American people whether they be economic, racial, or ideological. Despite what I learned about his past, I still held out hope that he just might do so once he was elected.
Tragically though, he has valued his radical ideology over and above all else, that is, except his own megalomaniacal self-image. True to liberal/socialist dogma he has sought to, and succeeded in, dividing this nation to an extent not seen since the Civil War.
There is no one more repugnant than an arrogant ignoramus that truly believes he is more enlightened and therefore wiser than everyone else while smugly patting himself on the back for the job well done, when in reality the result of his "enlightened" governance has been such an complete, unmitigated, disaster.
We won't get fooled again...

This could really backfire.

Submitted by profdlp on Wed, 12/14/2011 - 3:54am.

This could really backfire. Suppose you leaned right but were not all that enthusiastic about any of the Republican candidates. Then you get an email from a lib acquaintance (who who probably can't stand) telling you they donated to Obama and have also sent them your email address. Going to stay home on election day?

Nice call, my friend. I'm darn sure it would fire me up, not that I needed to be any more than I am already!
That said, isn't this yet another example of the childish nature of these people? Thinking themselves so clever by rubbing a donation into the noses of someone's Republican friends with the net result being more people voting against democrats? Oh yeah, my bad. They did get a $3 donation.
These people are a sorry lot. Nothing of any virtue is to be found among them.

Is it really necessary anymore to point out how desperate and mean spirited, vile, vicious, egotist, narcissistic and megalomaniacal Obama is?

And to top it off those in the first amendment rights sanctioned press have refused to report his actions in the same degree and to the same thoroughness that they seem to only have the energy for if the target is a conservative or even just a Republican.

The MFM has to go. Boycott all media as they are major donors in time and money to our enemies. You wouldn't give money to your sworn enemy would you? Of course not, it would just come back to you to hurt you.

This is what the media is creating in this country. They're turning us into a third world country and they DELIGHT in the fact that they're doing so.

Shameful...

Submitted by Fenwick on Wed, 12/14/2011 - 8:39am.

Politics has always been down in the mud, so to speak - but I have never in my life witnessed a more divisive administration than Obama's. I honestly find the relentless calling out and demonizing of Republicans (and anyone who disagrees with Obama) shameful - and frightening.

Think about it: the strategy to blame all of the nation's problems on "greedy" Republicans, millionaires and bankers is going to lead to offering some kind of "final solution" to rid the country of these troublemakers. It sets my blood cold when I hear Obama's speeches sometimes.
