AFP Pic Caption, Video Description: 'Tea Party Radicals Rally on Tax Day'
A photo taken at a Tea Party demonstration in Boston carried at Yahoo News carries the following caption (HT Powerline):
VIDEO: April 15 was tax day in the United States, and Tea Party radicals used it to stage demonstrations across the country, including near the site of the original Boston Tea Party revolt of the colonial era.
The photo was grabbed from an Agency France-Presse video with an identical description. The pic and caption follow the jump:

John's reaction at Powerline:
Spending our country into bankruptcy? Sensible! Trying to get a handle on our national debt? Radical! Such is the topsy-turvy political world in which we live.
The video at AFP's YouTube account, where embedding has apparently been disabled, is worth a look for its final few seconds, the time during which the picture involved was captured. The pictured Tea Partier endures an intolerant pro-union rant, where the roughly transcribed words which follow don't do justice to the hostility displayed:
The Tea Party means cutbacks for all of us. ... unions are here to tell you, you're not welcome in Boston.
Charming.

Palin's speech was great. Check out Breitbart to hear what she had to say.

The Tea Party must be doing something right because they have the Democrats and the their media partners wetting themselves.
They must be scared to death
Submitted by kinijane on Sun, 04/17/2011 - 8:28am.
They must be scared to death of the tea party, in particular Sarah Palin and The Donald. Lets face it they tell it like it is,in plain spoken English that even the liberals can understand. Both sides take their shots and even the rino's are frightened. Wonder what is so hard about doing whats right?

Seems to apply to the times we live in...
“First they ignore you,
then they laugh at you,
then they fight you,
then you win.”
I think the Tea Party is now at the 'fighting' stage.
Is the list out yet? I've waited long enough.

Certainly by now there must be a list or videos of the horrible radical, racial actions and words that are supposed to define the Tea Party movement. I even went to rallies to witness it in person, only to be disappointed. The MSM and politicians have been referencing the radical, racist Tea Party ever since the beginning, so it has to be real, there's got to be evidence....right? So, somebody let me know where to find this stuff. -bidn-
Call us rebels

Come on, liberals, call us rebels. Then, maybe, we'll get the support of the "international community" and the liberal press. We all know how much they love the rebels.

... than some of the names I've been called by the libs. However, I believe I'd call what they're trying to do to this country 'radical' a lot quicker than what the Tea Party does or stands for. But, as long as it's the left that's calling me radical I'm proud to wear it.

Any name they call me is a compliment and a badge of honor. Because they have no substance to counter our position, they resort to their ownretort which is name calling. The TEA Party has not only rattled their cages, they've tipped them over!

Madison radicals
Submitted by bkeyser on Sun, 04/17/2011 - 8:37am.
Oh, I think for Madison, what took place there was pretty radical. First of all, they were entirely outside. They don't do things that way in Madison. Secondly, I didn't see one single drum circle. Now, you can say what you want about political protests, but you can't change the world without a drum circle. Everyone knows this. Clearly radical.
But more importantly than anything else, I did not see, nor have I heard of one single arrest, incident of property damage, or looting. Apparently these "Tea Party" people -have taken some whole new tact with their supposed protests. This seems particularly nefarious given the state of affairs in Wisconsin. Something is going on there and I just hope the FBI is looking into these mild-mannered displays; we don't want this kind of thing popping up all over the country. My God, people might get... well... I don't know. But it's radical, I tell you. Radical.
They probably didn't even leave the scene strewn with pizza boxes, water bottles, half-empty tofu containers (cause no one finishes their tofu), and roach clips.
Radical nuts.
Oh yeah- they're racists too.

A tea party aficionado gets yelled at by a pro-union crowd? What was he expecting?
Or is it the "radical" claim that is unsettling? I would note the next story refers to Code Pink as a radical organization as well.
Of course, as mentioned above, yet still omitted from the story, tax day is the 18th this year.

Can you imagine the caterwauling when they have to wait 4 months to see a doctor for ... anything? What has happened to us when a significant element of our population thinks it's radical to return to the principles of our founding?

Palin: Wis. gov doing the right thing with unions
Ok, this is a AP article about Palin in Madison posted on Yahoo and linked on Drudge.
Compare the quotes from within it.
"Sarah Palin defended Wisconsin's governor at a tea party tax day rally Saturday, telling hundreds of supporters that his polarizing union rights law is designed to save public jobs."
and
"Capitol Police estimated about 6,500 people converged on the building Saturday, but said it was impossible to tell how many were tea partyers and how many were labor supporters."
Just "hundreds" were TEA partiers among some 6,000 opponents? And this just after the TEA party side just won, by more than the estimated total attendees, a statewide vote that was touted by the left as a Walker referendum? Nah, no bias in the reporting there huh? Its own article busts itself.
It goes on to talk about some cheering and booing and that TEA partiers "appeared" surrounded. Now, if they were so surrounded, and so lopsidedly outnumbered, then why was it so impossible to tell a difference? Why would it not have been easy to say directly, as opposed to imply, a few hundred compared to several thousand?
Some blatant bias in that article, for sure. I have no doubt that had Klopenberg won the Supreme Court election, the AP would have mentioned it to support it's angle that the TEA partiers were so vastly outnumbered. But the fact is the side they clearly support in this "report" lost the poll that matters, the vote, and they didn't want to mention that little FACT. Imagine that.
Great ...
