John Stossel's ABC Health Care Special Pulled in Favor of Even More (Guess Who?)

Got this e-mail earlier this afternoon, which pretty much says it all about ABC's news priorities:

StosselHealthCareCoveragePulled0609

The links in the e-mail are after the jump.

Stossel's original tease ("Canadian Health Care: The End of Innovation?") is here.

Stossel's too kind (in my opinion) reax to the pull is here.

Not much to elaborate on, except to say that if the free market for broadcast time were really in effect at ABC, I'd be hearing a lot of people saying, "Gee, there hasn't been enough coverage of Michael Jackson. I want more."

I haven't heard any of that. Has anyone else?

How to distract one's attention..

Submitted by Ted Nicols on Sat, 05/28/2011 - 11:32am.

Well, one's got to love Michael Jackson, but still I have to say we have been used too much to being more interested in facts related to stars than in facts related to the running of the system that we live in and depend on. Long time relaxation is good, if you're in New Jersey drug rehabilitation for example, but practical aspects of reality should have priority generally speaking.. and yes, I do listen to Michael Jackson but I work (so practical aspects of reality) at the same time..
