Olbermann Goes into PDS During Sunday Night Football

Olbermann1008.jpgMichelle Malkin is reporting, based on e-mails from several readers, that MSNBC's Keith Olbermann is at it again.

Last year, Olbermann, host of MSNBC's "Countdown," parlayed his previous experience as an ESPN SportsCenter anchor to become involved with NBC's Sunday Night Football broadcasts.

In April 2007, when asked if he would be apolitical during these broadcasts, Olbermann told Sports Illustrated's Richard Dietsch the following (HT Inside Cable News; bold is mine):

"Am I going to launch a political diatribe in the middle of sportscast? That sounds like bad programming. You will see exactly as much pure politics in Football Night in America as you did last year."

..... "I’m certainly not going to go and take advantage of a situation in which someone has said to me, 'Hey, we know what your doing. We have no fear of trusting you on this.'"

Tonight, his reaction to a serious injury to Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards was not exactly apolitical, as relayed by one of Malkin's e-mailers:

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

Just after 8pm tonight during the NBC Sunday NIght Football games summary, Keith Olbermann said that after suffering a concussion, Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards said that he could see Russia from here — a slap at Republican VP Candidate Sarah Palin.

This is not surprising. A September 8 Associated Press report carried at, of all places, MSNBC.com, notes that during the Republican National Convention, evidence of Olbmermann's advanced Palin Derangement Syndrome poured forth:

Olbermann began to have difficulty keeping his opinions in check, or simply stopped trying.

He sarcastically dismissed GOP pundit Pat Buchanan on the air after Buchanan said the Republicans had been enlivened by the entrance of a conservative Republican.

"Those reading US Weekly with the picture of her and her youngest daughter with the word ‘scandal’ written across it won't be so happy," Olbermann said.

He expressed little sympathy at another point when GOP anger at rumors over the Internet about Palin were being discussed.

"We'll see if people feel sorry for unfounded rumors on the Internet," he said. "If that's the case, Senator Obama's probably standing up and cheering and waiting for people to feel sorry for him."

Perhaps most embarrassing, Joe Scarborough was discussing positive developments in John McCain's campaign at one point when Olbermann was heard on an offstage microphone saying: "Jesus, Joe, why don't you get a shovel?"

The picture caption at the link also notes that during the convention, Olbermann "criticized the network for showing a Sept. 11-themed video prepared by the Republicans."

His PDS-driven convention conduct earned the MSNBC host swift removal from future political-night anchoring duties for NBC.

Will there be any repercussions for Olbermann's promise-breaking pettiness pointed at Palin?

Tom...

it's Olbermann. This is truly beating a dead horse that keeps on breathing.

Watching politics

For a conservative, watching politics these days is like going to a bad movie. You can hear the villain coming (the violin screeching in the background) but for some reason, the lead actor or actress keeps walking backward into obvious danger.

What's worse is having Olbermann in the theater. He's the guy in the corner, making loud wisecracks that he thinks are really funny, but are just annoying. He's just a jerk.

Keith, Keith

After a while, Our man Keith starts making Bill Ayers look sane.

Never insult anyone by accident. - Robert A. Heinlein

I would say that Olbermann

I would say that Olbermann would get more attention if he refrained from those kind of remarks when not in his "frothing" mode on Countdown. It's like breathing for him. Him not doing something like this would be newsworthy.

And you know there will be no "repercussions." OTOH, Rush Limbaugh got the boot for revealing that the Eagles quarterback was black, didn't he? For mentioning it, anyway.

It's gotten to the point that this is just another "Dog bites man" story. I know, it needs to be pointed out, but... who's surprised?

Show of hands?

"To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection." - H. Poincaré

Are you saying...

...that "the media has been very desirous that a black presidential candidate do well"?

...maybe Rush should've just said McNabb doesn't look like the other QB's on trading cards.

He ruins every game...

As I surfed past one game where a player was being taken from the field (having been hit hard and being perhaps a bit dizzy), I heard that fingernails-on-the-chalkboard voice saying "He can probably see Russia." -- a KO reference to that statement mistakenly ascribed to Palin. He's such a cretin. Since the season began, I don't bother to watch the show anymore. Sorry Chris and you other decent guys, I just skip the program altogether.

Probably time time boycott advertisers

"Forget change, I want improvement!"

Sad part...

He was mocking a player with a head injury--at the time, seriousness unknown--on air. No "sports journalist" should ever EVER do that.  Even without the political connotations, he should be fired.

THAT .....

..... is a great point.

With apologies to Al and John, Keith Olbermann is THE reason...

...I will not allow Sunday Night Football to be aired in my home.

I still cannot believe they allow this mindless putz to appear on that otherwise excellent presentation.

Satisfying

It would be satisfying, as when MSNBC "shifted" him from anchor duties after the DNC, if he was simply "shifted" off the Sunday night football show.  It is well-documented he's a pain in the posterior for NBC - witness Tom Brokaw's remarks in interviews and Chris Matthew's "you know, you can do that (wiggles fingers) all you want, but....!"  I'm hoping he was warned if he brought his politics into this arena, he'd be out.  Pipe dream, huh?

Masturbator Olbermann

I must come to Keith Olbermann's defense as Newbusters featured the story that Olbermann was fixated on mastubation in accusing a National Review journalist of doing that in reviewing Gov. Palin's debate performance.

Obviously from Mr. Olbermann wearing glasses he is going blind from masterbating and it is affecting his mind also. It is evident it also affected his hearing as he seems to only hear Obama in ways Olbermann doesn't notice the messiah is an empty robe.

So in Keeter Olbermann's defense of being a chronic masturbator, he simply can not help working Sarah Palin into every quip due to his not being able to masturbate to bisexual Barack Obama.
We all know Chris Matthews has tingles in his legs for Obama in outing himself. Mr. Olbermann has the same tingles and must act out in rampages to cope with his frustrations in not being naked on his bean chair with his blow up Obama doll.

We have seen this lounge lizard syndrome sweeping into Hugh Hefner, his new twin Bill Maher and now one can start to see the penis face appearing on Keith Olbermann.

Just as Campbell Brown like all liberal women are getting fat from supporting Barack Obama, it is just one of those unhelped things that liberal males go through in lusting after Barack Obama and attacking any female who gets more attention than their girl Obama.

PDS is just a manifestation of this in the shemales like Couric and the girly boyz like Frank Rich protecting their girly man Barry.

All of us should just have compassion on Keith Olbermann and simply every time PDS is noted, drop them a line and tell them, "We understand your sexual attraction to the messiah as some have it for Santa Claus or gerbils and you can not help but act out in attacking an innocent woman as due to your not being able to masturbate on air".

Now some of the above is satire, but satire as Rush Limbaugh will teach is always based in fact. PDS is sexual related in triggering responses in these Obamaniacs in the same way they went after Lawrence Sinclair being upset that Mr. Sinclair had Obama and they did not.
The difference with Gov. Palin is she is taking their girls publicity.

I did listen to the Sunday Night wrap, but in all honesty, NBC has hired either 5 people to comment who are wore out from masturbating to Obama all day or they hired the biggest duds in the business next to Bryant Gumble. His gumbleness apparently wore off on Collinsworth as those guys on the stage you can't tell which one's voice you are hearing as they are all boring and bored with football.

Costas has screwed himself over getting stuck with that nitwit bunch. Collinsworth acting like an expert is like the comedy of Howie Long actually taking himself serious that people think he has a brain.
Collinsworth couldn't help but take shots at Rush Limbaugh while on FOX and FOX booted his butt. Now he sits there like Howie Long an idiot.

If NBC had a mind, they would fire everyone except Costas, put an electric shock on Madden to get him to talk and buy Al Michaels a pint of Old Yellar Whiskey to make him interesting.

Then actually hire Limbaugh as he loves football to liven things up.

Or people can just refer to Olbermann and the Obamaniacs as chronic masterobamanators and see how long the discussion takes to reach Bubbles Brzezinski and Pole Joe that all the deranged Olbermanns are really sexually frustrated.

It is so wonderful being around liberals. Bill Clinton gave us rape and oral sex. Barack Obama has given us bisexual conversation in black men whose wives will not perform oral sex going out and getting it from gay males and now Olbermann has given us his masturbation on his Obama mind.

Apparently NBC and the other media types all have the same things on their minds as they keep all these loons around protecting their girl Obama.

Really!!  How can you be

Really!!  How can you be this articulate and funny at 3 am?

e-mail

Everyone should e-mail NBC Sports to voice your discust with having that moron on the program.

Hope this is helpful

Hope this is helpful information. I wrote NVC Sports this morning on the subject of Olbermann. The first time I sent the e mail I recieved a "Delivery Failure Notice". I resent the e mail and recieved the notice again. Suspecting something childish from NBC I removed the word "Olbermann" from the subject box. The e mail was accepted. To confirm my suspicion's I resent the e-mail with the word "Olbermann" inserted back into the subject box. Sure enough I recieved a "Delivery Failure Notice" e-mail.

It appears NBC has a filter for the word "Olbermann". Here is the little note I sent to NBC Sports.

So did NBC Sports put Olbermann on Sunday Night Football for political reasons? He made mention of the injured Buffalo quarterback being able "to see Russia". An obvious reference to conservative Vice Presdient running mate of John McCain. I already do not watch Sunday Night Football because of NBC's choice to put Olbermann on the show. Now his mouth has confirmed why I do not watch. There are many like me that have the same feelings and do not watch your channel because of him. Look at his ratings for his own show and that will confirm what I am telling you. He must have some great pictures of the executives at NBC with animals and whores to be able to keep his show.

Heir Olbermann scares the

Heir Olbermann scares the bat sh*t out of me...people actually believe him and his new lil friend Rachel Madcow. The way that Obama followers just step in line and follow is appalling. I can't believe how NBC keeps this hack employed! I still find it funny that he tries daily to spew Kos talking points in a Sports Center cliche fashion. IMHO he shoulda stuck to sports at least he knows something about baseball cards. Of course he reminds me of all the shady baseball memorbilia people I'd heard about during the O.J. trial...not an honest one among them all.

Barack Obama= Half Honkey...ALL Donkey

Keith Olberman costs NBC viewers

Personally, I won't watch anything but the game, because I refuse to look at this idiot.

Boycott halftime and pregame! who is with me?

Let the sponsors know!

Well, don't you have to

Well, don't you have to listen to him during the game?

That won't matter anyway, the ratings are taken during the game. You are still helping.

Of course, if you weigh the two and decide that watching football is more important,  well then, that's your choice.

As John Gibson would call him

BATHTUB BOY STRIKES AGAIN!  And as far as his thing on Sunday Night Football...

"UNAMERICANLIKE COMMENTS; OLBERMANN; PLAYER IS EJECTED!"

Send your love letters to:

nbcsportshelp@nbcuni.com...

 Dear Sirs:

Please get rid of Kieth Olbermann. His partisan reputation and snarky
attacks on Sarah Palin ruin an otherwise enjoyable broadcast.

The formula is simple - lose Olbermann, or lose viewers. Do the math.

"Modern man is staggering and losing his balance because he is being pelted with little pieces of alleged fact which are native to the newspapers; and, if they turn out not to be facts, that is still more native to newspapers." -GKC

Thanks for the email address

Just sent an email telling them somewhat, what you said--no politics from that idiot or no viewing from me.

Rush Limbaugh...

Remember a couple of years ago when Rush was doing football and he criticized the media for pumping up Donovan McNab?  Every one on the left went ape-sh*t and he resigned rather than deal with the stupidity.  Well, Olbermann should be fired for his condescending, bigoted remarks.  And then he should be banished from "journalism" to clean the toilets at Gitmo.

Palin needs to video herself with Binoculars looking at Russia

Heck . . Sewards folly WAS Russian land at one time.
That would NOT be History as the DNC and MSM knows it, though.
An Occaisional Bias comment might influence the Electorate . .but this constant barrage for BHO's campaign as long as he has been running is of no Influence.
Palin is FRESH -- Olbermaniac is STALE and 70,000,000 viewers short of a full Audience.
The Republican Revolution will not be Televised

Al on next week's

Al on next week's broadcast: "Remember that hit Keith commented on last week?  Apparently, it was such a big hit that it knocked Keith right off the show.  He's gone back to MSNBC, where he'll be calling commentary for the DNC Powderpuff Flag League."

CRAP

This guy is really a piece of crap. By the way is Russia our 56th or 57th state!?

BATH-TUB-BOY...

Will it ever end? Good God, this guy is absolutly, single handedly destroying the reputation of a once great television network(not just the news division). I have stated here before that I think he will end up like Rosie O'Donnell, he'll meltdown so bad that he becomes so toxic within NBC/MSNBC that they will have to cut their losses.

It is simple, I DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM GENERAL ELECTRIC. I am leaning toward not supporting their advertisers, but I will look at who else those advertisers buy time from, so I'm not there yet. Maybe I'm missing something, but this seems like 1 of the reasons why GE ended up being bailed out by Warren Buffet to the tune of about $3BILLION. This company sucks since Jack Welch left, it needs an overhaul.

"GE, We bring good things to life..." My @$$, you are disgrace, the shareholders need to clean up GE's house & put it in order.
