Boy Scouts Correct Cablers on Gay Falsehood
Contrary to false impressions that gay activists went on to CNN and MSNBC to try and drive on Thursday morning, Patrick Burke at CNSNews.com reports the Boy Scouts of America are not reconsidering their ban on homosexual scout leaders.
When the BSA specifically contacted MSNBC to correct the gay-left publicity line, anchor Thomas Roberts then went on air Thursday morning and asserted that the gays were about to “break news,” but now the Scouts are trying to “drive the conversation”....with the facts. The statement read:
“Contrary to media reports, the Boy Scouts of America has no plans to change its membership policy. The introduction of a resolution does not indicate the organization is ‘reviewing’ a policy or signal a change in direction,” according to an official statement from the Boy Scouts of America national office.
“The BSA is a voluntary, private organization that sets policies that are best for the organization,” reads the statement. “The BSA welcomes all who share its beliefs but does not criticize or condemn those who wish to follow a different path.”
Roberts interviewed gay activist and Eagle Scout Zach Wahls, author of the current Ellen DeGeneres-endorsed book My Two Moms:
THOMAS ROBERTS: You were scheduled to come on here, break this news about the scouts reviewing this policy as well as news that they’d vote on it in 2013. The BSA got wind of it, came out in advance of the news. And as we've seen, it looks like they're trying to drive the conversation, denying that this petition you delivered on behalf of Jennifer Tyrrell has any influence on this decision coming up. What is your reaction to that?
ZACH WAHLS: We knew this was going to be their response, as soon as they heard the story was breaking...
What? So the gay activists put out a publicity line they knew was false – that the BSA was “considering” a policy change – to get on cable news and sell their agenda. Then supportive anchors failed to call them on it, preferring to keep sticking it to the Boy Scouts.
On CNN’s Starting Point, anchor Soledad O’Brien interviewed Tyrrell, the lesbian former Scout leader, but seemed less annoyed that the BSA was correcting the record: “At a national meeting last week in Orlando Scout leadership was presented with a petition with more than 275,000 signatures demanding that the group end its exclusive policy against homosexuals. A spokesperson for the Boy Scouts says they are going to review the resolution but absolutely no change for now.”

Hay, idiot, the "news" had already "broken." That's how the BSA "got wind of it," capiche?

How DARE the BSA attempt to "drive the conversation!!"
They should just sit back and let this activist make his claims, unchallenged.

I've been a single male for the past ten years and would like to be the house mother in a female sorority house at any college. I wonder what my chances are?

That's a job I've wanted for years, now. I think it's totally unfair to exclude us from that type of job.

Tommy Bobby needs to bone-up on Robert's Rules.
The BSA has every right to reject any resolution. Large organizations get thousands of proposed resolutions - but the leadership gets to pick which ones to accept to put into their agenda and put to a vote.
And it also doesn't mean jacksh*t that the BSA received a petition with 275K signatures. It could have been 5 million... still doesn't matter.
It may also come as a further shock to Tommy Bobby that the BSA also forbids avowed atheists from leadership positions, whether they are adult leaders or youth leaders.
So, bone-up, Tommy Bobby.

"On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and Country. To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and MORALLY straight."
It seems our Eagle Scout has broken the oath he professed by advocating for a life style choice that clearly violates this oath. I for one will not allow the heterophobic media to dictate what clearly is an aberrant and chosen life style. Let's rally behind the Boy Scouts and their Constitutional right to reject such attacks.

It was evil for the Catholic

It was evil for the Catholic Church to allow homosexual pedophile priests to molest little boys, and it is evil for the Boy Scouts to prevent homosexual pedophile boy scout leaders from molesting little boys. Hey! That makes a lot of sense to me ... only if I am drunk on my ***!
