Where Have We Heard of 'Heaven's Grief' Before?
Tom Blumer recorded today's New York Times coverage of the Kim Jong-Il funeral, including the communist regime's claim that the heavy snowfall surrounding the funeral showed "heaven's grief" over the dictator's death.
San Diego radio host Mark Larson (from KCBQ/KPRZ) reminded me of the American version of this, from NBC's Andrea Mitchell praising a Democratic icon when rain soaked his funeral in 2009: "The heavens were weeping for Teddy Kennedy today."
As Rich Noyes remarked at the time,
After the tributes, NBC's Tom Brokaw declared the public now had a better understanding of Kennedy. Wrapping up his coverage Saturday, Brokaw proclaimed: "In the last 48 hours, the American people have had a more intimate look at Senator Edward Kennedy who, for so many years, was a kind of a caricature for so many people. But they've learned about his generosity, about his passion for public life."
But in many ways, the media caricatured themselves last week. Kennedy's passing should have sparked a serious debate about his controversial liberal legacy. But star-struck reporters sought only to praise it.

Because both Kennedy and Kim Jong-Il are outside the Pearly Gates demanding to be let in.
I think it was Heaven's subtle message to them, Troll.

speaking of thinking alike - The liberal Democrats have a friend in Russia. The abuses of human rights here in the states are deplorable - if only Obama were more like Putin (of course Obama has Holder for the heavy lifting).
Seriously speaking though - Russia is clearly aligning itself with Muslim nations and that is something to be considered in depth.
They aligned themselves with Hitler at the start of WWII, also.

Of course, they had a falling out after Hitler figured he had the upper hand.
The same thing will happen with this alliance. They'll get along just as long as it takes to kick our ass, then they'll go after each other. That's the way these bastards think.
Of course, our RFBSOB will have to choose sides when that happens, unless he figures that he is the prototype "Godless, yet God fearing Fascist/Communist/Muslim Leader of the World" capable of uniting all of the wolves on the planet into one pack.
I have no doubt that he can look in the mirror and see himself as that.
Anyone ever place Risk?

The Nazis and Islam had their hatred of Jews to unite them. The people of Russia don't hate the West like the government of Russia does so I'm not sure how strong the alliance can be if it came to fighting side by side.
Russia, like the Nazis, probably see Islam as a useful tool they can discard when the fighting is done but the truth is probably quite the opposite.
The alliances are coming together in the Muslim world and they are but a few settlements of old feuds away from creating a massive Caliphate. Take a look at a globe and think of the transfer of power in north Africa, the presence in eastern Africa, the existing power base in the western Pacific, the migration that allows for the splitting of the EU and the disruptive populations in the US, Russia and China. Anyone ever place Risk?
Yes, I've played Risk. It can

Yes, I've played Risk. It can be a long game. But then, I didn't have my left hand working against me on my opponents behalf.

Snow is akin to grief now?

Snow is akin to grief now? Seems that could be taken as a sign of joy, kids love it, it's pretty, it's serene. Oh, but, I forgot, libtards wouldn't know joy if it smiled up their collective arses. And snow is a sign of global warming...so there's that.

So the NoKos are learning their propaganda tricks from the likes of Andrea Mitchell. She must be so proud.
