Comedian Whacks Bachmann for Planned Parenthood

By Tim Graham | July 04, 2011 | 07:47

“Daily Show” co-creator Lizz Winsted is going on tour to fund Planned Parenthood, and Lucas Kavner of the Huffington Post insisted that this is somehow not leftist:

While her comedy has always been inherently political – and she's not backing down from her own personal affiliations – this tour is not aimed at those on the right or left. It's merely to raise awareness and support for an organization that has been an essential part of her life.

Earth to Lucas Kavner: did you watch some of her Minneapolis show, posted ahem, on your own website? It took about 15 seconds for her to announce that saying Michele Bachmann performed well among the Republican contenders is “like being the smartest Kardashian.” She also added comic gems that only a secular leftist would love, like “I think she's hogging too much of God's time, which is why everything is so f—ed.” And “I don't understand why we don't treat Michele Bachmann with the same diligence as other nut allergies.”

Winstead was the "HuffPost Greatest Person of the Day" for her charity tour. She hardly gets to lecture Bachmann on having a grasp of the facts, since she somehow thinks that Planned Parenthood has suffered “decades of depletion of resources,” which hardly reflects their financial report:

"This stems from my own personal experiences, yes, but also watching decades of depletion of resources to reproductive health care organizations from politicians and the media," she said. "It just seems OK these days to throw women under the bus. Like we're a bargaining chip."

Oh sure, the “mainstream media” is so opposed to “reproductive health care organizations.” Kavner insisted her message is clear and succinct:

"I have this crazy notion that in this life I wanna be part of the solution. And when it comes to reproductive rights, throughout my life, I have had to turn to Planned Parenthood for many of my healthcare needs. They were the only affordable solution. And they were always there for me. My life could have been very different without them. I am grateful. Very grateful."

Once again...

Once again, the Hollywood Left Out [Of Intelligence] attempts to show itself as having some level of wisdom. The sorry truth is that they are not even funny. They make me sick!

OK here is another moment of liberal enlightenment when they pronounce "women are being tossed under the bus" at the very moment they are tossing women under the bus. Do I have that straight? Did I miss anything?

Obama threw his white grandmother under the bus too! So much for the "I'm for women's rights" argument!

Ms Winstead

Submitted by Tugboat Phil on Mon, 07/04/2011 - 9:20am.

Was funny about a hundred years ago when she was on The Daily Show with Craig Kilborn. That was before the show was an arm of the DNC.

She's now another has-been that is upset that Planned Parenthood might not be able to continue killing a disproportionately high number of black babies. Ms Winstead, Margaret Sanger would be proud of you. Without modern folks like her, Eugenics might have gone the way of the DoDo Bird.

President Obama is a Muslim (from his own lips), Kenyan (read it from his publicist) a homosexual (read it on a news magazine cover) and a Socialist (I'm alive and can see it for myself)

Leave it to liberals to suggest that killing over 1 million babies each year is considered "good work"

Give me a break and go away.

What does she mean "..essential part of her life"?

Submitted by Nightfly on Mon, 07/04/2011 - 10:26am.

How many abortions has she had? Maybe she lost count. Lucas Kavner is a perfect example of the kind of guy Mark Halperin described when he betrayed the annointed one and lost his MSNBC gig. So now we can conclude that Lizz Winsted wants to share her fetus killing experiences with so many other woman and take it upon herself to raise funds for Planned Parenthood. Abortion is really the primary business of Planned Parenthood. In Indiana, only 9,300 woman receive medical services other than abortion from Planned Parenthood. Those women most likely do so by choice as there are many, many other doctors and clinics who provide OB/GYN services.

Submitted by ex buff e-dub on Mon, 07/04/2011 - 3:07pm.

Hey funny girl, how about you practice some restraint! Use the pill! Use a condom! Keep your legs closed! Of course your life would have been different! You would have had to be responsible for yourself and another life! wouldn't want to be "punished" like Sasha or Malia!

Examples of twisted thought sydrome on the left. Planned Parenthood is nothing but an abortion clinic. And it takes our tax money without our permission. The number of abortions in America is a disgrace. Young girls are being used and abused in every way possible in our nation. It's sick and disgusting.Just another nail in the coffin of a once great nation.

NEVER,NEVER trust a "liberal" (progressive)

Submitted by Bhaal on Mon, 07/04/2011 - 11:35am.

If these women would put half the effort into bettering themselves and putting a stop to stupid behavior as they do supporting Un-Planned Parenthood, they would avoid those problems entirely.

Ok, so now can we defund PP on a federal level?

Submitted by Tenebrous on Mon, 07/04/2011 - 1:07pm.

Liberals know everything and this liberal comedienne is sooo smart and sooo funny that I'm sure she'll bring in tons of money to fund her favorite baby-killing organization. She will stir up people to work hard to kill others -- how leftist! But we all know she will be successful, so can we defund PP on a federal level now?

Vote with your feet...

Same treatment as Garafolo.

Don't watch her shows (and take friends somewhere else), change the channel, don't listen to her. Ignore her, and she will go.

Let her producers and her ratings show them that she has opened her DEMWIT mouth once too often. We don't have to be badmouthed at their enrichment.

Her sponsers cancel, the show dies, and she wonders why she can't get a job, for the rest of her career. :-)

(working with Garafolo, isn't it?)

Thanks for the good news about "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior". Sooo happy Garafolo is unemployed again. But one does wonder at the stupidity of casting Garafolo as an FBI agent. Networks seem to prefer pushing their liberal agenda to making money. We need a FNC network for cable entertainment. You know, where cops are the good guys and the USA is a great place.

Dizzy Lizzy going on fundraising tour for Planned Parenthood

Submitted by donaldduck on Tue, 07/05/2011 - 7:54pm.

I will give that leftist jaggoff her props. At least she is doing fundraising for the organization. If the lefties want PP to do abortions, let them raise the money as J.O. Lizzy did and stay out of my wallet and the wallets of every other American who do not want the gov't. handing out freebie abortions on demand.
