Founder of Daily Kos Insists Mark Halperin's On a 'Jihad Against the Truth'
Markos Moulitsas, the founder and publisher of the Daily Kos, demonstrated that he can locate a vast right-wing conspiracy just like the rest of the Kosmonauts. Mark Halperin's suspension, for him, proved once again that Halperin is a right-wing fellow traveler with Joe Scarborough, who's the "real president" of MSNBC:
I think it's wonderful that Halperin betrayed his full feelings about Obama on the air. It's tiresome seeing people pretend that he's some sort of neutral political arbitrer [sic], when he's engaged in a long-running jihad against the truth.
Halperin, a real dick, was hired as MSNBC's "senior political analyst" at the behest of another dick, the network's real president Joe Scarborough. As I wrote after being blacklisted from that network:
According to Nexis, since the premiere of Morning Joe on October 22, 2007, Mark Halperin, MSNBC's "senior political analyst," has spent 70 percent of his on-air time either on Scarborough's show or shows hosted by his posse. It's pretty clear he exists merely because Scarborough wants him around.
And why would Scarborough -- a conservative host on the lowest-rated morning show on cable--want Halperin around? It isn't for his astute political acumen, because he has none of that. It's because they're fellow travelers in an ideological crusade against reality. How's that from the supposedly "liberal" MSNBC?
Today, Halperin was suspended by MSNBC for calling Obama a "dick". His sin was to breach the Beltway's pretend civility. As Greg Sargent says:
Halperin’s use of an expletive is trival when compared with the degradation of our political discourse we witness on a regular basis from Halperin and many others — degradation that is seen as perfectly acceptable because no curse words are employed. Suspending Halperin only reinforces a phony definition of “civility” in our discourse, in which it’s unacceptable to use foul language and be “uncivil,” but it’s perfectly acceptable for reporters and commentators to allow outright falsehoods to pass unrebutted; to traffic endlessly in false equivalences in the name of some bogus notion of objectivity; and to make confident assertions about public opinion without referring to polls which show them to be completely wrong.
As far as insults go, it's weak tea. As political analysis, it's laughable. As network policy, it's ludicrous. Fire Halperin's ass for being a useless piece of s--t who is always wrong about everything. Not for being a dick.

Scarborough promises CHANGE

LOL at this mornings show, with Mika and Joe stating the show has been unfair and unbalanced and leaning only one way. So, from now forward, they'll be pro-Obama.
*******CHOKE CHOKE SWALLOW CHOKE BREATHE******
Yesterday they said Obama had a "promised appearance" upcoming. I bet you he threatened to caaaaaaannnnn-cel!
Markos Moulitsas whining about someone using an expletive?

Now there's some irony for ya! His site sets the bar for how low and vile the internet can be.
RINO Scarborough better watch his back or Gerneral Moulitsas and his Meet the Press buddy Colonel Ray Maddow will have him dishonorably discharged from the modern nerve center of lib-think (AKA NBC "News")
Joe Scarborough has a posse?

and runs MSNBC??
Who knew??
Markos "Screw them" Moulitsas needs to re-calibrate his tin-foil hat.
Wow....

Now there's a real sense of reality......NOT! That Moulitsas has more than a few screws loose.
We're going to see more stuff like this nonsense get rachetted up from here on out. People are FINALLY becoming aware of the danger the possob presents to this country and his defenders are going to be coming out very much in earnest in denying that as much as possible, even if it means eating their own, which they be having a steady diet of in the days ahead.
This is only the beginning.

You mean neutral like the Daily Kos?
Submitted by TheHistorian on Fri, 07/01/2011 - 7:59am.
When someone finally observes that this President is in a hole and still digging faster, then he can't be neutral? Moulitas has only one definition of neutral. That is when you can only say nice things about Obama. I think you should try neutral Markos. Your web page is the perfect example of a sycophant.

...how quickly these people turn on their own kind. Truly hilarious to observe. As supposed political commentators, their entire identities are built on an ideology that is intrinsically anti-human and wholly childish. The only time they're happy is when everybody else is unhappy. And you know what that makes them? Dicks. Moulitsas, Scarborough, Halperin, Cooper, Matthews, Olberdork and on down the line -- they're all dicks who want to spoil life for everybody because they can't hang with reality (pun intended).

I was going to say, here we are, yet another example of the zero-tolerance Left, but then it just occurred to me... in terms of power and influence among the left, Halperin's and Kos's vehicles are actually fairly close these days. Which is a sad comment on how far Time has fallen, but regardless, I'm sure Kos sees this as a great opportunity to snatch a big chunk of power and influence away from his rival, and that's probably a big part of why he's going after Halperin with such zeal.
Why I don;t know?

I stopped and read some of the posting in Markos Moulitsas .....rag(?) on line and at best "dick" should have been used many more times and would have better than the trash used. My Farther, bless his soul, always told me, using bad words is a stop gap of true understanding and learning.
Markos Moulitsas, I must bend the rule and suggest maybe it is because the sites material and players ....they seem like a "Dancing Boys Club? And that is fine, and up until I read it I know I haven't missed a thing.
So was someone insulting Cheney everytime they said his name?
Submitted by merly1 on Fri, 07/01/2011 - 8:31am.
This seems way, way overblown...................who even claims this is such a "bad" word?
It seems like more of a dumbing down of America than a true scandal. I agree = weak tea!
Why?
Submitted by Morganfrost on Fri, 07/01/2011 - 8:47am.
Why does Newsbusters bother to give bandwidth to the squeaky-voiced, perpetually indignant, self-righteous little toad Moulitsas? He's a nebbish. A nothing-burger. If he had a decent suit, he'd be an empty suit. Ignore him.
Moulitsas and the word "truth"
Submitted by johnsonl on Fri, 07/01/2011 - 9:01am.
just don't mesh. Here's a few more, Markos: reality, justice, capitalism, faith, courage, honor, service.
I'm sure you don't recognize any of those, either.
Why start now?
Submitted by AR72 on Fri, 07/01/2011 - 9:19am.
MSNBC never had a White House defending presence on air during the Bush years, so why start now? It's scary that speaking ill of BO is akin to heresy on a "news" channel that exists solely to tear down those they don't agree with. They are obviously showing which master they have chosen to obey.
I think much of what he says
Submitted by ThatDude on Fri, 07/01/2011 - 10:11am.
I think much of what he says is true. Ignore the silly right wing conspiracy theory (on MSNBC at that!). It seems to me that a lot of his little rant are right for the wrong reasons and he chooses his targets incorrectly.

Markos Moulitsas was most likely blacklisted for being a d....
Ooops...almost wrote it.
Also it is the height of both irony and hypocrisy for Moulitsas to be accusing anyone of having "a long-running jihad against the truth" when that is something the Markos and the Daily Kos, as well as its contributors and commenters, have engaged in since day one.
the word jihad
Submitted by jon_torlin on Fri, 07/01/2011 - 12:15pm.
Funny how they project the word "jihad" to people who aren't Muslim. Doesn't this idiot know that only Muslims do jihads? Oh wait....

Markos Moulitsas

A man who drinks his own Koolaid and believes his own hype. Pathetic. He's a narcissistic jackass who's ego was bruised when MSNBC banned him, and he's convinced himself that Scarborough -who is no slouch when it comes to polishing Obama's turds, not on the level of the Kos kids, but definitely right up there with the other MSNBC hosts- is really running the network. Markos is one of the few people who's ego actually shows up in photos of him.
Progressives seem to be completely averse to facts and logic. Apparently, reality has a conservative bias.

This advice comes from Markos “F*ck ‘em” Moulitsas. He support jihad against America — and the murder of Americans by jihadis. Why should we take him seriously?
