WaPo Gossips Use Gay Democrat to Question Romney's Hockey-Fan Credentials
Mitt Romney's "Bruin-Score-Gate" from debate night continues. The gossips at the Washington Post's Reliable Source column leaned on a gay Russ Feingold-donating PR man to throw cold water on the idea that Romney was a hockey fan:
But PuckBuddys.com, D.C.’s gay hockey blog, has doubts about Romney’s dedication to Boston’s team. Co-founder Craig Brownstein, a PR exec and hockey devotee, was surprised that the former Massachusetts governor never talked, texted or tweeted about the Bruins during this remarkable season; the very first mention was at the debate. More damning: Brownstein went back to Romney’s years in office and couldn’t find any evidence the governor attended even one Bruins game.
"He’s got some explaining to do,” Brownstein told us. “Hockey fans are an unforgiving bunch at times. And they’re especially harsh toward bandwagon fans who jump on a winning team’s achievements.”
According to the Post's own links, their opposition-researcher Brownstein only became a Washington Capitals hockey fan three years ago, "during their playoff push in the spring of 2008." So maybe the "fair-weather fan" charge is a little thin.

The more time they spend talking about worthless crap like this, the less time the spend on ruining the country

You must be kidding. Who in their right mind (that's the key problem...) cares how much Romney is a fan. Are the hockey police after him for speaking about hockey without having the "correct" amount of exposure?
The thought police are here!
Get a life, Brownstein

I've been a Yankee fan since attending my first game at Yankee Stadium in 1961. This year I saw them play in Baltimore -- it was the first time I'd seen them at a ballpark since I watched them at Yankee Stadium in 1977. Does that make me less of a fan?
Nobody cares, Brownstein. Go home and diddle your bobbleheads.

No, only Boston fans are unforgiving. Colorado Avalanche fans are pretty lenient as to who cheers for them right now since the team is in the toilet.
Also, why does it matter that he's a GAY democrat?

Maybe the gay guy is a tonsil hockey fan, but I seriously doubt he has any cred on hockey or their fans.

I guess it's hard on him watching all those big, hot, sweaty, hairy studs slipping and sliding all over that ice and knowing that probably none of them are gay and would love to join him for a latte and discuss hockey sweater fashion.
Hey, Brownie. Call Weiner or Prissy. They're more your type.
This is what people are focusing on?

In an inconsequential debate pointing out a comment as irrelevant as this is, well, irrelevant. For all the Bruins fans who cheered his announcement, fans of 29 other teams were collectively thinking Suck It, Boston.
I was going. . .
