Randi Rhodes Insists Bush Team Knew For Years of Osama's Suburban Location

Brian Maloney at the Radio Equalizer blog found the latest lunacy from libtalker Randi Rhodes on her Thursday show. Rhodes is lecturing the conservatives that she has the "facts" that George W. Bush and his administration knew that Osama bin Laden was cooling his heels in Abbotabad for years. She's embraced the full-crazy Michael Moore theory that Bush really had no interest in justice for Osama:

You've got some facts you can really play with, go nuts on your blackboard, OK - Rush, you too, sit up and take notice! Here's facts: 2005, no one's left at the Bin Laden desk, they close it. 2005 is when they start building this compound in Abbottabad for Osama bin Laden.

Pervez is scared of a coup d'etat so he won't get -- he is the obstacle the CIA keeps identifying over and over again about why won't they get Osama Bin Laden, they he's in Pakistan, everyone knows he's in Pakistan.

2008. Bush makes the decision to send our troops over to Abbottabad to train the guys in the 'West Point' there, 800 yards from Osama Bin Laden's door.

And Christiane Amanpour goes on Bill Maher and says, 'Listen, I heard from people in the know that Osama Bin Laden is living in a villa in Pakistan!" So, if you want a conspiracy theory, it's gonna to lead you right back to the Bush Administration KNOWING where Osama Bin Laden was, that he was in Pakistan, the whole - ever since he fled Tora Bora, that he knew the whole time...

Because he knew where he was! He was with the Pakistani military and they were guarding him, they were keeping him safe, they were protecting him, and the United States of America had reached an agreement that they needed a bogeyman, so what the hell, let the Pakistanis keep him, let the Pakistanis have him, keep him in this military garrison town, we'll even send our troops over there to pretend that, you know, uh, we had no idea!

Maloney concluded: "Yes, it makes perfect sense to believe Bush would have happily reserved the glory of Osama's capture for the next president to enjoy!"

George W. Bush and his administration knew that Osama bin Laden

Submitted by Mutantone on Sun, 05/08/2011 - 7:08pm.

That he knew where he was means that the CIA could monitor communications and see who came and went. Thus preventing another major event or at least knowing who went where so they could track them and see who they were meeting with. But now Obamaommunist revealed all the secrets discovered and now they can change all their plans. I still want to know why Obama the Communist waited so long, could it be for political reasons? and the day of the attack he took so long to make a decision, was he warning friends to get out of the area?

Is ODS something like OBS

Submitted by TheHistorian on Sun, 05/08/2011 - 8:24pm.

I have seen the OBS (Obama BS) a lot on TV. That is where he spouts I/me/my/we when he has nothing to do with something, or lies, or tells us fables like "you can keep your doctor". Or how about his "balanced budget" which forgets to pay the interest on the debt? Or how about his "tax cuts" which have been primarily give-away programs and have given the middle class less than what Tom Daschle referred to as George Bush's "muffler".

I think if Bush knew of OBL that it would have shown up in Wikileaks. Can anyone point to it yet? Go look for it, and THEN tell me how Bush knew. Until then, we only have the word of another lefty liar (this time I mean Rhodes, not Obama) smearing the landscape with garbage.

It's Mind Boggling

Submitted by Bourbeau on Sun, 05/08/2011 - 8:06pm.

The absolute stupidity that emanates from talking heads on both sides of the spectrum; makes you wonder if we're now completely lost of any sanity to enable us to straighten out the mess we have gotten ourselves into, politically and economically. One thing is for certain, Randi Rhodes will be absolutely useless in this effort.

BOTH sides of the spectrum?

Submitted by TheHistorian on Sun, 05/08/2011 - 8:17pm.

You cannot find anywhere near the stupidity on the right that the left spews forth. Even their supposed wonderkind like Ezra Klein spout farcical untruths. Beck goes to great lengths to footnote and document his stuff, something no one on the left can be bothered with. About the only one even close to the right that I would put in the same category with Rhodes is Savage.

I tire of people who right BOTH sides without proof. Assume that the article above proves the case for the left. Prove it for the right in your article (NB handles links fine). But to do anything else is intellectually lazy.

Many here on this forum will not recognize the fact that they slander all the time. Even less will they recognize the psychotic and psychopathic levels to which they have fallen; in their demonic hatred.

Seriously now. It is because of such inane statements, like the one you just made about me being a communist, that sane people cannot take you seriously.

There's no point in my stating that I'm not a Communist; or to tell you that you don't even know me; or to define what a Communist is because, quite frankly, your mind is too disturbed.

I do not understand how people can drop Bible verses (usually out of context) and then go on to defend the left side of the political spectrum that hates Christianity with such a passion.
Liberalism = moral relativism. Christianity = moral absolutism. These two school of thought are diametrically opposed to each other and cannot coexist.

This is some sort of amusement for this guy. He's likely in his early 20's, probably still in college and writing from his laptop in his weed infested dorm room.

He has nothing of substance to offer.

... would have been calling for Bush's head if he conducted the same type of covert op in Pakistan. He would have been labeled a war criminal for violating another nation's sovereignty and accused of murder.

These people have overplayed their hand.  Up until last weekend they were mortified that a few terrorists were splashed in the face with water by our CIA. Now because its their guy in the oval office they are perfectly fine with the CIA & Navy Seals shooting terrorists in the head.

The Dems and their supporters have proven the only code they operate under is the code of  political expediency. They are liars and cheats and we in the center and on the right must continue to expose them for who they are.  We must quit arguing with them on their terms and treat them as the liars and cheaters that they are.

I caught the 60 minutes interview with Obama and if it had been Bush in his place, the interview would have had a completely different and hostile tone. "Why did you risk it? ... What if you were wrong?... What about Pakistan's sovereignty?"... and on and on, I would have bet on it. But since it's "their" boy now, all military activity is patriotic and absolutely necessary, the President is a hero, and all interviews regarding such are and wil reflect this syncophantic, lapdog, hypocrisy.

Stumbling Down Randi Rhodes

Submitted by Mistah Bitterman on Mon, 05/09/2011 - 8:26am.

NPR host Randi Rhodes was in the news again. Many of our viewers will remember back in 2008 when she had an “incident” When the story first broke the blogs were lit ablaze with stories of how Ms. Rhodes was mugged and assaulted and that it was the fault of right wingers. Those allegations were proven false. Turns out that she was mugged all right but it was only a beer mug at an Irish pub. So we dug up a clip from our archives. This is poet laureate Ric Bitterman with this commentary …

Stumblin’ Down Randi Rhodes
Rick Bitterman 2008©

Despite the global warming
It’s a nice day for a walk
I just love this time of year
Lying on the streets of old New Yawk

I ain’t been trippin
Since back in the USSR
Raise my glass with leftie friends
Toast Obamma our commissar

Drinkin Vodka with my comrades
Aint that what commies do?
Step outside to walk my dog
Puke upon my shoes

I’m stumbling down Randi Rhodes
I tripped over the leash
Disorderly Drunk aren’t what I be
So I don’t call police

Now I’m sailing like a cosmonaut
Tumble-ing through space
I trip over the curbing
Falling flat upon my face

I’m stumblin’ down Randi Rhodes
From a Ketel Vodka overload
I’ve busted up my teef, it’s my sincere belief
That my face upon this sidewalk feels so (sure is) cold

I’m not a common drunk
I’m a special one you see
Cause I stand up when I piss & moan
But I sit down to pee

I’m stumbling down Randi Rhodes
Walking’s not for me
Next time I leave an Irish pub
I’ll ride with Kennedy

There used to be slander laws in this country

Submitted by falcon on Mon, 05/09/2011 - 8:51am.

It appears as though either (a) the slander and libel laws have been de-fanged, or (b) those who are slandered on radio and TV and libeled in print don't have the testicular fortitude to go after the offenders. Granted, tort laws in this nation aren't what they used to be, and a lot of judges (the left-wing, activist type) will throw out lawsuits such as these, but more people need to be taking the lefties to the woodshed. Maybe if those on the right showed a little more backbone, statements such as these wouldn't be tolerated (IIRC, it used to be a crime to flat-out lie in broadcast and print, too - see "War Of The Worlds"). If the libs want to toss verbal bombs, fine, but they'd better be on the lookout for collateral damage - or as Sir Walter Scott wrote, "Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive."

“I will not stand by and watch this great country destroy itself under mediocre leadership, that drifts from one crisis to the next, eroding our national will and purpose.” – Ronald Reagan, July 17, 1980.

OBL's location "for years", then The Big 0 has known since he took office.

What was The Big 0 waiting for? Till he needed a boost in the polls?

Or, maybe it really was Panetta, who allegedly informed Clinton and Gates that he had been given the authority by the president to proceed with a mission if the opportunity presented itself and when it did, he did. No proof (yet?) that this is how it went down, but it doesn't sound outside the realm of possibility.
