Ed Schultz Guest: Obama Carries Our 'Spear'
Brian Maloney at Radio Equalizer was stunned to hear trial lawyer and radio host Mike Papantonio (formerly of Air America) say on the Ed Schultz radio show that Barack Obama is "carrying our spear" for the progressives.
Maloney wrote: "JUST IMAGINE the reaction to a conservative host using ‘Obama’ and ‘spear’ in the same sentence! It would dominate the news cycle for days. But don't expect Sharpton & Friends to protest this one." Maloney’s blog has this audio from April 13:
PAPANTONIO: I think he's a terrible negotiator. Think about his background. He comes from a professorship teaching constitutional law at Harvard [incorrect]. Now, there's no negotiating involved there. He doesn't get, you know, down and dirty --
SCHULTZ: So why did progressives support him then?
PAPANTONIO: Because he is good for progressives. Don't get me wrong, Ed, he is good for progressives. He's the only guy out there carrying our spear.
Just before that, Papantonio was disgusted that Obama would give any credibility to that "freak" and "little boy" Paul Ryan: "Every time he gives credence to this freak Ryan. It's not just Ryan....he's just a boy. Ryan is just a boy. He's a boy for the Koch brothers. He's no different from Christie or Scott Walker or Rick Scott. But every time he gives the little boy some credibility, it’s a problem. And he has the tendency to do that."
Papantonio had a very exaggerated sense of where conservatives are going: "We’re not going to have government disappear, because that’s what the Republicans want, that’s what Koch wants right now."

You could turn the whole thing around quite easily:
"Everytime the media gives credence to this freak Obama, it's just not Obama..., he's just a boy. Obama is just a boy, a boy for George Soros. But everytime the media gives credence to the little boy and some credibility, it's a problem".
Again, WE don't want gubment to disappear, just spend less, meddle less and be smarter with OUR money.
That is the mani problem, boy Obama.............................................................. and company act like children and think all the toys are theirs.
Nothing more to add

Didn't Dan "I know the story is true " Rather refer to watermelons and Obama before and the media was all up in arms about that?
They were so flummoxed and angry, they couldn't bear to report it.
But every time a Republican opens their mouth on the CNN ticker you get:
"Fill in the name - words turns heads" or "Fill in the blank - words causes stir" or "fill in the blank - actions raises eyebrows.
Not only do the all suck at what they do, they have elevated tabloid jowhorenalism to a higher level and instead of news and facts we get "Charlie Sheen and "Winning".
Makes sense with Obambi's new sloganeering, "Winning the future"....

Oh course to a sane mind there's nothing wrong with using references to guns or spears in a conversations, but I find it highly amusing that the Left seems to have actually cranked up their use of violent labels and imagry since making such a big deal about the practice around the time of the AZ shooting.

Bad metaphor
Submitted by CobraMan on Fri, 04/15/2011 - 4:20pm.
"He's the only guy out there carrying our spear."
That's a very bad metaphor, as it makes no sense whatsoever (what is Obama to you, your shield bearer? How Medieval of you!). It's actually the first time I've even heard it. What ever happened to "carrying our Cross?" Is that too religious or something? Or how about "carrying our Ensign." Is that too militaristic or something?
A word to the wise, "progressives," if you are going to use a metaphor, at least TRY to use one that makes sense.
