Obvious: Randi Rhodes Insists Limbaugh and Hannity Favor Tax Cut Extension Just to Keep Their Own Millions
By Tim Graham | December 07, 2010 | 00:08
As if this line of attack weren't perfectly obvious, liberal radio host Randi Rhodes attacked Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh on Friday afternoon for favoring the extension of the Bush tax cuts just so they can selfishly keep their own millions of dollars:
Tell Sean Hannity that the only reason that Sean Hannity is advocating for holding out for 98 percent of the American people and holding them hostage is because Sean Hannity makes $22 million a year, that's why! Sean Hannity makes $22 million a year. If Sean Hannity doesn't get his tax cut, Sean Hannity is going to pay about $900,000 more a year.
Rush Limbaugh makes $58 million a year reportedly. He's going to get a tax -- if the the tax on the top two percent is allowed to sunset, he's going to pay an extra $22 million a year. That's his tax bill, not his salary! That's his tax bill on almost $60 million dollars. But without it, you know, if they hold us hostage, then Rush will get an extra $2.7 million next year at a time when people are literally standing in line for heating assistance and he's mocking them and making racist comments about their inability to find a job or their lack of desire to find a job!
It's also perfectly obvious that Rhodes would start with the Oxycontin jokes for Limbaugh:
Now, $2.7 is a lot of money....you can - you could buy enough Oxy to make a herd of elephants go deaf....really...you could buy...in fact, you could sell - you could send Wilma Klein, his housekeeper, the one - you could send her to the Denny's on Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach in a stretch limo to pick up the Oxy for that kind of cash! That is a lot of not that I think he'll spend all the $2.7 million on drugs - he'll spend some on donuts, too....
Rhodes worked in Glenn Beck as well: "Now, Glenn Beck makes $33 million dollars a year. Can you believe -- who knew there was this much money in lying?"

Look, if Randy Rhoads is going to keep reappearing with some little talk show that caters to 5 people, the least he could do is get together with Ozzy and write a couple more great metal hits!

I know, i know... In our culture we've been taught that only a man can fall to this level of stupidity. But no, Randi Rhodes, at least by outward physical appearance is a woman. Of course, you never know. She may be another one of those "men" trapped in a woman's body. So, you might be correct after all.
Randi doesn't have to worry

Randi doesn't have to worry about taxes. With the hourly wage she makes from her show broadcast on walkie talkies, she qualifies for the earned income tax credit....

So if Rush and Hannity only
Submitted by GregE on Tue, 12/07/2010 - 2:06am.
So if Rush and Hannity only want the tax rates to remain the same because they will get to keep millions more, that would mean everyone who isn't "rich" would be against the rates remaining the same for everyone.
Well, sorry, I'm not rich, not even close to the $250K per year that is the magic number, and whoops, I'm of the same mindset as Hannity and Rush on the extension of the tax rates.
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan shheeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, that blows a big ol hole in it don't it Randi?
I dunno, Rocky

I dunno, Rocky Roads.............it sure sounds like these guys pay a helluva lot of taxes to me, expecially when you look at how they're being wasted!!! I don't even make anywhere close to ANY tax bracket that counts............and I STILL think that I should be able to keep as MUCH of my damn hard-earned income as I possibly can!!! What about YOU, Rocky??? How much are you willing to pay??? Are you stepping up and volunteering 50 % of your own (probably overpaid) income to the wasteful and bloated Federal Government?? If you are........then GOOD!!! Just keep the hell out of my face, because you're a damn moron, and I don't really care what your take on this subject is........................

Does Rhodes pay as much tax

Does Rhodes pay as much tax to the government as Limbaugh, Hannity or Beck?
She obviously costs the government as much or more to maintain...
This Rhodes piece demonstrates Envy and Jealousy of the Left.

Gosh, if this twit made anywhere near what Rush and the rest are making - well you get my point.
This is pure class warfare and it isn't working.
The logical fallacy that lower taxes are good for everyone, except...
Anyone who has actually achieved the 'American Dream'.
Everyone knows this is not American. Everyone knows that if they hit the lottery they don't want to give the government all of their winnings. Everyone knows this is a divide and defeat opposition by the TAX and SPEND Democrats.

How's driving that Hummer feel to you? Must be nice to have a $70K vehicle running around with stickers of a failed radio station (Air America) and all kinds of energy conservation and "big oil" stickers as well. That sure is a "gas hog" of a vehicle with a big carbon footprint to be running around on.
Seems mighty hypocritical to talk about someone elses money when you and Al Franken'stein' drained AA with your BS and especially now when you criticize Hannity, Beck and Rush about what they make and what they pay in. Seems interesting to me that your current place of employment is syndicated by RUSH's firm...
Makes one wonder just how much money you are making, and not telling the public about.
Thank you Randi

For the best example I have seen all week showing that Liberals/Progressives think that other people's money is the government money and "the government decides what we can keep".
Is $20 million in taxes from Limbaugh not enough? 48.6%of people in America pay no Federal Tax and more than half of the 48.6% get a "refund".
When tax rates are low, money moves. When they are high, money does not move. Even the fear of higher taxes makes money stop moving in our economy. When money doesn't move, then no money goes to the government. Thus it doesn't matter what the rates are if money is not moving. The government collects more in revenue when rates are lower because money is moving. When will some elected official explain that to the country? Please.
Hey Okie, that would defeat ...
Submitted by SentryDan on Tue, 12/07/2010 - 11:30am.
Hey Okie, that would defeat the liberals purpose. What the liberals aren't saying is how they planned to exempt themselves and their minons from letting the rates expire on the wealthiest taxpayers.
One of the first things I heard out of obama's mouth is that keeping the Bush tax cuts is that it would cost $700 B. The inference here is that would be a year and not over the 10 years that the CBO reported.
This administration is killing this country, slowly but surely.
Have you seen the price of gas, it is going up. Why? Because of the continuing drilling ban. The cost of goods is going up. Why? The cost of getting them to market. The government keeps borrowing money and/or printing more of it. Why? Not enough revenue. Why? People aren't working. To many new regulations by the government. Why work when the government will give you a handout. (Remember, the government doesn't give you anything.) Just MHO.
It isn't "just the rich" affected
Submitted by Ole_Sarge on Tue, 12/07/2010 - 11:36am.
Key to why I want to keep the Bush Era changes -- the capital gains on investments. We have been kicked back almost 20 years in the actual value of our retirement investments. So ANY increase in the value... is taxed at the highest tax rate possible. We aren't rich, but losing $0.30 for each dollar is really hurting.
At the same time our home equity has completely disappeared (over $100,000.00 for us).
We were less than 10 years from retirement, once; now, who knows?
Randi's math also sucks; just like most liberals
Submitted by TheHistorian on Tue, 12/07/2010 - 12:53pm.
Shawn will pay $900,000 on $22 million, but Rush will pay $22 million more on $58 million? In Shawn's case, this is about 3% which is about right. In Rush's case, that is almost 50%, not 3-5%. Randi, maybe you can find a job as Tim Geithner's and Tom Daschle's tax consultant?
