The New York Times and The Washington Post both reported on former president Bill Clinton's pep talk with Senate Democrats on Tuesday. But both skipped over what the folks at Politico recounted:
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) said Clinton described the ongoing tea party protests against the Democratic agenda as a sign their party was making progress.
Whitehouse quoted Clinton arguing: "The reason the tea-baggers are so inflamed is because we are winning."
Perhaps the top editors felt this quote was not suitable for a family newspaper. Or perhaps they thought for Bill Clinton to joke about someone else's crotch being inflamed was just too embarrassing (to Clinton fans) to pass along.
The Washington Post hyped another quote on their front page:
"The worst thing to do is nothing."
That's what former president Bill Clinton told Senate Democrats on Tuesday about their upcoming vote on health care legislation. A3

Clinton/Obama
November 11, 2009 - 09:47 ET by SemusI think Clinton, and Obama's choice of terms like "Teabaggers" is indicative of panic the left is feeling. They resort to insults because they're losing control of the argument and they have no intelligent response. Conversely if they thought they were winning, they'd be conciliatory and diplomatic.
Their confidence is waning, they're revealing who they are, and the disdain they feel.

November 11, 2009 - 11:38 ET by fitzfongClinton has descended from arrogant, to irrelevant, to just plain sad. The reason he continues to shoot his big mouth off is to prove to the world that he's still alive. After all, nobody will remember him for anything beyond his being the most frivolous President in the History of the U.S. The few who actually like Clinton don't have anywhere near the passion as the many who detest him. So, the only way for him to emerge from the scrap heap of has-been celebutards is for him to pop off and stir the passions of those who hate him. Unfortunately for Bubba, those who once detested him can't conjure the energy or the interest to respond the way they once did. November 11, 2009 - 12:03 ET by fitzfongI would argue that Jimmy Carter was never irrelevant because he was presented with some major challenges that he botched. The fact that he failed so miserably allowed the cleanup crew to get in early. Sorry, in advance, for the extended football metaphor. I mean it for purposes of illustration, not to demean the office. But I think it's applicable. Clinton's Presidency was a bit like a football team playing the prevent defense...Marty Schottenheimer. He passed the time, kept the opposition away from the sidelines, gave up lots of yardage in the middle of the field in an effort to prevent the big play. Clinton's prevent stopped a regulation touchdown, but gave the enemies a tying field goal...which they then exploited with a big play at 9:11 of overtime. Carter's Presidency was more like the reign of Rich Kotite...abject from beginning to end.

November 11, 2009 - 11:58 ET by sloerideLibs are as stupid as they are lame. The use the phrase "teabag" to delegitimize the opposition. Why? Because well teabagging is what homosexuals do, thus it is gay, thus it is lame. Duh...
Hmmm...wrong all over the place, Left-O's! Homosexuals aren't the only ones who tea bag (thanks, wifey). Additionally, neither homosexuals nor the act of teabagging are particularly lame.
Democrats are supposed to be the almighty protector of the gays, minorities, children, and women. But time and time again, they expose their contempt. Every one of their policies is designed to keep all of them in their place. Servient to them. And their language shows it. Over and over again.

They are pissed because of that simple fact. They should be pissed because of that simple fact. The last time a democrat gave a shit about constitutional rights was some 50 years ago. Right now the entitlement mentality has over taken the democratic party and much of the republican party. Tea-baggers should be pissed at the direct assault on their liberty and freedom.
The quote is correct, it is just too bad the CORRECT reason WHY they are pissed was reported/explained.
