WaPo Animation: Line of Effeminate Republicans Kiss Limbaugh's Butt -- Literally

WaPo cartoon by Ann TelnaesWednesday's Washington Post flooded the zone on the GOP's Rush Limbaugh "problem" on the front page -- and two hostile articles on the editorial page. But don't miss how the Post website has an animated political cartoon by liberal Ann Telnaes with a series of effeminate Republicans kissing Limbaugh's butt -- literally.

On page one, political reporter Perry Bacon Jr. began: "For a man who expresses no desire to lead the Republican Party, Rush Limbaugh has a knack of creating problems for those who do." The Post played up the "ongoing controversy" over Limbaugh's CPAC speech and his "bombastic criticism of a popular new president."

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

The editorial page featured pseudo-conservative columnist Kathleen Parker responding to charges Limbaugh led the GOP: "Talk about damning with praise." Her article was headlined "Rush to the Wrong Choice." Obama campaign manager David Plouffe also attacked Rush as the leader of "the politics of division and partisan pettiness."

There's trash-talk on the WaPo blogs as well. Reporter Joel Achenbach blogged:  "What a splash Rush Limbaugh made with that speech Saturday. I thought it was, at a purely technical level, rambling, sloppy, self-indulgent, demagogic and anachronistic, but it is conceivable that I was not his target audience."

Bacon's article found the usual suspects to denounce Rush, like Paul Begala:

"Rush is the bloated face and drug-addled voice of the Republican Party," said Paul Begala, a longtime Democratic strategist who rose to prominence during Bill Clinton's presidency. "Along with lots of others, I intend to continue to turn up the heat until every alleged Republican either endorses or renounces Rush's statement that he hopes our president fails."

The Bacon article came with an accompanying text-box by Garance Franke-Ruta laying out how Republican leaders have apologized to Limbaugh after criticizing him.

Maccaca?

The post is trying to create another Maccaca incident. The ubrage the left would take a similar treatement is boundless.

It worked against George Allen and Sarah Palin. Why won't it work against Limbaugh?

The WH, with the aid of the

The WH, with the aid of the MSM, sure is bent on taking out any dissent to their destructive policies.  Are liberals running scared of the mounting anger from citizens to their blatant power grabs or just a bunch of babies who cannot handle criticism?

In the verbal manner of Gov. Palin:  Yes on both counts, you betcha.

The Aim of the White House

The aim of the White House is to prevent its own acolytes from crtically examining Limbaugh's ideas. The anti-Limbaugh campaign is meant to keep Obama's own uncritical acolytes in line.  If his loyalists have a one word slogan such as "buffon" they will not critically look at Limbuagh's ideas.

Personally, I think Obama is making a big mistake by elevating a brillant person who is a great communicator.  Limbaugh's influence will grow as Obama's policies fail.

I disagree that this worked against Palin.

McCain blew this election all by himself.  He would have done infinitely worse if Palin hadn't joined him

"What you can not enforce, do not command" -Sophocles-

McCain Lost it Himself

I agree that McCain lost the election all by himself.  Most of the voters who "hated" Palin would not have voted for McCain on a bet.

There is an important caveat. The unflattering caricatures of Plain uncritcially forwarded by Obama's media syncopates ensured that Palin's ideas would not carefully examined by Obama supporters.  These voters blissfully lost the chance to be exposed to her conservative ideas.

Those  easily fooled by this media legerdemain  often have advanced degrees.

Mislabeled

Great thought; great animation; just mislabeled.

The person's butt being kissed should be Comrade Obama and the butt kissers are the Main Stream Media (Pravda).

cvg

Right on the mark. In fact there is a potential for a whole series of animations including the leg tingles etc.

Here's what it comes down to

D--kless flacks, Begala, Carville, Rahm and Stephanopolous think that by casting Rush as the 'leader' of the republican party, that they can make their moronic socialist asskisser look better?  This item was in the Drudge report and it once again illustrates how stupid the libtards are.

Rush is a private citizen guys.  Attacking a private citizen for exercising his free speech only makes you look like a bunch of fascists.  Whether you do these idiotic polls that make you think people hate Rush, it really doesn't matter.   And in the end, you really can't hide the fact that your boy is single handedly destroying the economy.  People ARE smarter than that.

The moral of this story

The moral of this story (for republican leaders):

DON'T CRITICIZE RUSH!

Everyone thinks Rush is about Republicanism

I think that Rush has made it quite clear that he opposes ANYONE whose policies will cause America to fail, and that includes Democrats AND Republicans.  As soon as Klinton flacks Begala, Rahm and those witless turds realize that, they might actually say "hey, attacking Rush isn't getting us anywhere".

"What you can not enforce, do not command" -Sophocles-

Thanks for the free publicity, liberal puppets...

Oh you silly, deluded liberals...thank you so much for the awesome free publicity.  Do you think that by deriding Mr. Limbaugh, that you are hurting his cause?  Do you think that by doing an animated cartoon of people kissing his behind, that you have somehow damaged the Conservative movement?  This only helps us, in that it prompts folks who are "straddlng the fence" over how they feel about Mr. Limbaugh, to research him more and more.  In doing so, they will be exposed to his ideals and words, and you run the very real risk of losing a significant number of your blind sycophants.  Your attack methods reek of all the strategic bumbling and fumbling only possible from a group that is running scared.  And has it occured to you that by these attacks, you have only served to galvanize and inspire Conservatives even more?

This is really a "win-win" situation for Conservatives.  Thanks so much!  Keep up the great work, and stay classy.

To be quite honest, I'd rather be portrayed as a butt-kissing sodomite by your group, than to be an idealogically fellatio-performing victim of a fraudulent, Socialist "president" as you all so clearly are.

Live Free or Die.

Can I get an AMEN!!?!?!?

AMEN

Actually it's a pretty good

Actually it's a pretty good cartoon.  Too bad the loop isn't longer.  I think that all these so called Republicans who have been dancing with Obama can kiss his (Rush's) heiney.  It is time to find out where they stand.  Moderate Republican is just Democrat-Lite.  Tepid ideology always fails.

2nd Law of Mental Dynamics

"Moderate Republican is just Democrat-Lite.  Tepid ideology always fails."

This comment got me thinking:  the libs behave as though the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics applies to thought processes and ideologies as well as to states of matter.  They act as though it is the highest form of mental achievement to be middle-of-the-road, passive, same-as-everyone-else, no morals, not standards, no concept of right and wrong.

I believe that, while society may buy into this pathetic scenario, ultimately there will be an accounting and there will be ample opportunity to find out that there IS such a thing as right and wrong and that right WILL triumph.

I also am comforted (although not quieted) with the knowledge that these destroyers of people's lives and countries and civilizations will face the Judge with a case of the stutters that we can't even imagine even with BO's example continuously before us.

What makes me laugh is

What makes me laugh is everytime I hear someone from the MSM say "How can you be against your Country?....How could you be against your own country succeeding?.How could you be against your President succeeding?....lol

They have been doing that very thing throughout Bush's Presidency

but that would violate the libs' hypocritical oath:

you know that one, two sets of rules:  one for us and another for those nasty republicans.  two instances immediately come to mind:  geithner, daschle et. al. and their tax issues, and bho saying we will not hire any lobbyists except for this guy, and that guy, etc.  and what about the "i'm not going to sign a single bill with an earmark attached to it" pledge?  how long did that last?  he's as bad as i am with my new year's resolutions - some of them are broken before halftime of the who cares dot com bowl.

but to get back on topic, we had to listen to their "protest is the highest form of patriotism" crap for the entirety of w's administration.  wall street has said emphatically that they dislike obama's economic message.  the congressional budget office has said that his budget proposal's prediction of 5-6% growth 18 months from now is overly optimistic and the numbers don't add up.  hoover tried to raise tax revenues by doubling the top tax rate in 1929, and it failed miserably.  how is pointing these things out to liberals in congress unamerican?  someone please explain it to me, because i'm not getting it.

swing hard in case you hit it.

Thank you for pointing out this VERY funny animation!

Tim,

"Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in."

I think your site is a hilarious, wonderful microcosm in which to view the truest right wing viewpoint...I tell everyone if they want to see what the REAL right wing wants to see in the media to visit this site. If not for the omissions & factual errors in reporting on the truth, at least for the humor in the absolute deconstruction of a political movement known as "conservatism". The sheer hypocrisy and contradictions of the rightwingers and their core "conservative" morals & values continues to bring a smile to my face. Please keep the laughs coming...and to those who believe in this site, contribute and donate your money, time and energy to a worthy humorous cause!

Hail to Rush!

A political Calculation

This whole Rush thing is a carefully crafted political calculation. Please read the article linked below.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0309/19596.html

This has been in the works since before Obama was President. It is a major theme on the daily calls between all the players.

It could backfire if enough Americans get curious and check Rush out for themselves. If not they will effectively destroy the Republican Party.

Drudge

That's now the headline on Drudge. Everyone knows how calculated this has been. The ultimate smear artists, the Clinton Team, are openly attacking, distorting, twisting ... and soon enough, they'll whine about the politics of personal destruction.

Obama lets his dogs attack the postman, and smiles from inside the house.

Rush is a Conservative and he...

is hated by the left.  So what's new?  As a Conservative myself, I am not that fond of Liberals.  The antidote against Liberal lies is the truth.  Here is the truth:  It is becoming obvious day by day that the Democrats under Obama and his wrecking crew are out to destroy Capitalism and turn our country towards Socialism or worse.  Our way of life is on the line.  Wake up people!  Jim Webster

Libs better hope Rush

Libs better hope Rush doesn’t go prime time. He has 20 million listeners now but being on the air 12-3 cuts out a huge amount of people working who are unable to listen to him. I bet he could easily double his audience if they could.

Programming tip to Fox News: Run Glenn Beck’s show 5-7, Rush 7-9 and Ann Coulter 9-11. Astronomical ratings.

This is kind of cute

The DCCC has set up an "I'm sorry Rush" page. Agree or not its kind of cute :)  I wonder if the email really goes to Rush?

Beware of a crazy woman throwing a hash pipe.

Pot meet Kettle?

You always got to love the Dem's projection problem.  Rush the is the "bombastic" partisan divider?  How does Begala's "Rush is the bloated face and drug-addled voice of the Republican Party" not count?

Oh Ed, that is excellent!

Nice work.

Here's a link folks...put your beverages down before you do.

Edward, you do some excellent work there, fella.  Byrd and Reid had me howling.

I hope he fails, too.

Re Edward Cropper

Hilarious website poster. Will become a regular stop.

free speech

We are going to see Bill Ayers and Winston Churchill speak tomorrow at the U of Colorado.

How curious that the left wants free speech for them, but wants to stifle Rush Limbaugh. As some readers might remember, the leftists think that Churchill was fired for expressing his 'protected views'. Free speech for them and everybody else needs to shut up. Go figure.

BTW, the staff at Newsbusters deserves praise, because I'm generally dysfunctional and NB helped me get back to the world in re expressing my views here.

I would pay cash money to

I would pay cash money to see Winston Churchill speak!

Unfortunately it is Ward Churchill, the American-hating Leftist academic.

Steele

Unfortunately folks, the opposite seems true. From Steele's idiotic comments (ie indendiary, ugly) it appears that he has NEVER listened to Rush Limbaugh. I don't expect the Chairman of the RNC to worship Rush, but I am shocked that he seems to be clueless about Limbaugh, what he is, and how he fits into the conservative movement.
