They've already annointed Algore as their second savior, despite the hypocrisy of his lifestyle. Just like in any marxist society, the ones at the top live like kings while asking the rest of us to live like paupers for the good of the planet. Well, I hope the stupid masses give up their lifestyle... makes mine more affordable.

The false strawman here is that there is, or should be, some form of stasis to the climate. It's just that the climate takes much longer than a normal lifetime to go through it's cycles. Therefore it's easy for narcisists and dunderheads to think that the climate is always the same as it is now. Like tectonic drift, it's easy to assume that the continents have always been in the same relative position as they are today. We of course know differently.

Next I am waiting to hear someone take up the cry to stop continental drift.

What about the receeding Moon!!!!  The Moon is receeding in it's orbit of the Earth by about 2-3 inches a year. In a few thousand years it will have a longer phase cycle and the tides will be less frequent. What should we do??!!!

Here is the upshot for leftists and intellectually challenged university professors. . It is cold (below freezing) in the winter and warmer in the summer.   There is nearly constant darkness in winter and near constant sunlight in summer.   Ice can melt in summer and refreeze in winter.

Go figure.

The HIGH temperature in Fairbanks, Alaska yesterday was -41 and at it's lowest point (-47) was 8 degrees from a record low.

Global warming indeed.

Here's a personal story about Arctic ice and icebergs.

This took place back in the previous environmental crisis, the very popular "we are all going to die because of man-made cooling" episode (late '60's early '70's). I happened to be on assignment in a spot 750 miles north of the Arctic Circle. I asked my guide to take me to a place where I could see icebergs. And so he did.

He took me to a place where we could watch an ice shelf that stretched as far as the eye could see. Quite interesting. And lo and behold, every few minutes, a massive sheer of ice--miles long sometimes-- would simply split off from the ice shelf and crash into the sea. I remember hearing a somewhat delayed but enormous sound--much like thunder--when the ice hit the water. Huge waves were formed. Voila, an iceberg.

I asked my guide if this was an unusual sight (remember this was during the man-made global cooling "crisis".)

He looked at me as though I were a little nuts. "Of course not", he said, "this happens all the time at this time of year, and has been for millions of years."

Learned a lot during that trip.

3. The Arctic ice grows completely back every winter which the media intentionally ignores. They like to use the single day when the ice has retreated the most during the summer as propaganda that it is like that year round.

Those predictions tried to account for the drastic reduction of Arctic ice that was being observed...

BUT IF THE ICE HAD ALREADY MOSTLY MELTED, WHY DIDN'T THE WATER LEVELS AROUND THE WORLD RISE 200 FEET AND FLOOD OUT LIFE EVERYWHERE???????
