Michelle Obama Enjoys Jon Stewart's Loving Liberal Interview

On Wednesday night’s edition of The Daily Show on Comedy Central, host Jon Stewart interviewed Michelle Obama and insisted the Obama family has been "vetted about as much as a family can be vetted." Mrs. Obama insisted their Democratic primary opponents "dug through every piece of everything. If something was coming out, it would have come out." When Stewart asked if (if?) there was a "real relationship" between Obama and radical bomber Bill Ayers, he allowed Mrs. Obama to simply claim lots of people knew Ayers: "Barack served on the board of the Annenberg Challenge with Bill Ayers, and there were plenty of people involved with education policy, Republicans and Democrats, who know Bill Ayers."

Stewart, who doesn’t act as a journalist or much of a comedian when liberal heroes are on the set – and the show’s small crowd launched into an extended, feverish welcome for Mrs. Obama – didn’t bother to ask the Democratic nominee’s wife about whether she met or worked with Ayers’ terrorist wife, Bernadine Dohrn, when they both worked at the Sidley Austin law firm. Instead, he asked if it was her job to keep the Obama family grounded. It unfolded like this:

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

STEWART: And who is Barack Obama? Is it surprising, 20 months into this process you've been vetted about as much as a family can be vetted.

OBAMA: I agree.

STEWART: This woman from Alaska, Sarah Palin, wants to know who you are. Do you ever think to yourself, who are you? ( Laughter )

OBAMA: That – that does cross your mind. But I agree -- what you said is correct. We've been out here for 20 months, and, you know, Barack was up against a tough set of primary opponents who dug through every piece of everything. If something was coming out, it would have come out. And, you know, I just urge people to focus on what these candidates have done in their lifetimes not base it on what somebody else has done --

STEWART: Issues and things. Is it weird to see the Ayers thing rear its head again? And is it, we could clarify it right now. On a scale, palling around with terrorist, William Ayers, in terms of the relationship with the Obama family, between the polls of family ski vacations with the Ayers, and nodding to him while jogging, or shunning him, what is the relationship-- is it strange to have this guy thrown out there? Is there a real relationship?

OBAMA: You know, it's been out there before. I think you know as the campaign has said barack served on the board of the Annenberg Challenge with Bill Ayers, and there were plenty of people involved with education policy, Republicans and Democrats, who know Bill Ayers. But I think what the voters are most interested in, they're interested in the issues. No one's asking about this stuff on the campaign trail. People --

STEWART: The voters aren't, but the angry mob seems-- do you ever watch footage of those [GOP] reallies and think: Where are these people going with this?

OBAMA: You know, I don't watch it. because I need to stay focused on what's really happening on the ground. I mean --

STEWART: Are you the glue-- as this is going on, how do you remain sort of the center of the family? Is that-- is that the job, to keep everybody grounded?

OBAMA: That's part of it. I've stopped reading and watching a lot of stuff. You know, if I --

STEWART: So you're a lot like Sarah Palin. ( Laughter ) ( applause )

OBAMA, after pausing for comedic effect: Perhaps.

STEWART, scolding himself: Terrible, terrible.

Mrs. Obama also claimed that, even as Obama and Biden hit the trail and slap at McCain as "erratic" and "old and tired," it’s Senator Obama who is always pushing to locate the decency inside Americans. Obama voters want solutions, while Obama critics are, mmm, angry bitter clingers of some sort:

The thing I've liked about Barack's campaign is that, you know, he's always pushing for the decency that is there in Americans. I think you've got some people who will never vote for Barack Obama, who are, you know, angry about, you know, the state of the country. They have every reason to be. But most people really want to, you know, find solutions. And they want leaders who are going to, you know, unite us around a set of -- a set of solutions that are going to make sense.

What she really meant here...

"I think you've got some people who will never vote for Barack Obama, who are, you know, angry about, you know, the state of the country."- Michelle Obama

What she really meant: Those evil white people will never vote for a black man.

Well Miss Hypocrite..get off of your nice horse and read  your thesis. You pig. I can't stand this family. They say one thing and stand for another...indispicable.

hey BB.

i don't know who you are, but if you and michelle were put in an ultimate fighter's ring, i'd bet the mortgage on her.

you sound about as dangerous as a juicy expression of gas.

and probably affect the world about as much. your venom sounds more like petty, jealous, racist anger. go back to stormfront.

Here we go with the racist

Here we go with the racist thing again... Can't criticize someone of color without being labeled a racist. Even if you are of color yourself.

I said it before, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...frankly I ain't seeing it..."

"I might be movin' to Montana soon..." - FZ

the "you know" thing really

the "you know" thing really annoys me too, you know? It's like, you know, someone from an Ivy League school who, you know - can't even speak basic articulate English...

ahhh, it feels good to get my racism out there...

Journalism is the opium of the liberals

This is not racist, this is just the truth about Obama

Please understand that if I were a black, I would feel so much better if a black man became president, especially in light of the history of my race in America. And I have no racism towards people who are not my color and even took by black friend to Paris, France, on a vacation recently, and have many, close, black friends, including those I grew up with.

In fact, if a person, say like Colin Powell were running for president, even as a Democrat, I would certainly vote for him over McCain.

My concern about Obama, however, is what is troubling my heart. I can read very well-documented evidence that Mr Obama is not a “nice guy.” So if I vote for McCain, it is because I consider him simply the better of the two for America, even if McCain is not "perfect."

The concerns which are truly troubling my heart have to do with Obama's well-documented history:
•    Obama was schooled at an early age in a terrorism style lifestyle.
•    Obama worked diligently, side-by-side, with the domestic (white) terrorist and socialist, Bill Ayers, for more than 4 years (saying that was a casual acquaintance is a lie) and even launched his career from Mr Ayers living room. And even if that work was not terrorist in nature, the fact that Obama would legitamize a domestic terrorist is plainly unacceptable in this day of terorism and 9-11, especially since Mr Ayers is unrepentant and bragged on 9-11 that the Weather Underground did not do enough destruction.
•    Obama gave a "pep talk" to a crowd of his cousin's terrorist followers in Kenya in 2006, who by that time, had committed genocide on over 500,000 people, including burning people alive inside of churches, and raping and murdering women and children and displacing hundreds of thousands from their lands and their homes.
•    Obama was a member of the New Party in the USA, a group well-documented as being communists, which was a direct affront to democracy by using a theory called “fusion”, which was ruled unconstitutional, which "stole" votes from wherever the wanted to, just to win.
•    Obama has worked closely with ACORN, which has been proven to have committed voter fraud thousands of times, which especially troubles my heart, because that is a direct attack on democracy, and thus a form of election “terrorism,” and a direct attack on the country I love, and so Mr Obama is attacking democracy. (He is misusing democracy to destroy it, even as I speak.)
•    Obama has worked closely with members of Congress who are significantly to blame for the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and other economic failures, meaning we can look forward to even more economic failures with Obama as president.
•    If Obma's tax plans are implemented, he will indeed destroy a huge number of businesses in this country, and not just because John McCain says so, but so do the vast majority of business owners in the country also say so, per a recent survey. And I believe this is deliberate on Obama’s part, in order to attempt to move us closer to communism, by one day saying, if elected, “See, capitalism is a failure -- time for socialism!” Then one day, “See socialism is a failure -- time for communism.” But pure socialism and communism have been proven to be incapable of raising anyone’s standard of living, and ultimately enslave people, regardless of color, and yes all become equal, equally poor, that is. In fact the poorest people in America, on average, are better off than the average person in the average communist country.
•    He is also a bully, arrogant and an elitist. It shows in the way he carries himself. And he dismisses any critique of him as just vicious attacks (that is, so listeners will not believe anyone is telling the truth about him), which is also called re-direction. And when someone can prove something is true about him, that's really bad, he uses the racism accusation. (However, he cannot use that on me, as I have proven.)
•    While McCain told a few campaign fibs himself, I have counted dozens of Obama lies, that make Obama seem to be a habitual liar, so how can he be trusted? How can be be counted on? He can't!!!
•   The MSM, which is supposed to be a bastion of protecting freedoms, is falling for Obama, hook, line and sinker. And "sinker" is the really scary part.
•    Finally, because people vote far more with their emotions and not with their brains, I am very worried. (e.g., On “The View” the liberal hostesses, when interviewing Obama, said he was kind of sexy and sort of cute. That is hardly a good reason to vote for someone.) And poor McCain, still has his war injuries, which makes people fell uncomfortable when they look at him hobbling around a bit. Basically, its elementary school mentality, you know, calling someone “fat” for being overweight, or for that matter, “niger” for being black, or also going "ugh" when they saw Sarah Palin's son.
So with all of the above in mind, I think the best case scenario will be that Obama, if elected, will just cause a great deal of problems for America, and with the worse case scenario, he will help to usher in communism, and the destruction of our precious freedoms.
And I am trully worried about the worst-case scenario because Obama's methods follow the pattern of other communists as they rose to power, namely you dupe all the so-called disaffected people, gain their sympathy, and if elected, start to work for changes that are not for the good of the country, but for the good of the cause of communism. Yes, change is coming, if he is in power, but not for the good, for certain. With his history, "for the good of the country" and "Obama" in the same sentence are an oxymoron.

So my soft prayer is “God bless McCain, Palin and Biden” but “God damn Obama.”

Really good post, WDH

Really good. May I request permission to cut and paste it to e-mail to a few folks who just don't get it?

MSM: Get outta our way

I just urge people to focus on what these candidates have done in their lifetimes not base it on what somebody else has done --michelle obama

Well, for starters: baby daddy has been involved with ACORN, ayers, voted 94 times to raise taxes, called me racist, took huge amount of $$ from Fannie/Freddy, is the NUMBER 2 liberal in senate, took 1billion in earmarks, dissed our BRAVE Troops....maybe I can set you up with a nice divorce atty??? Ah hell, you two DESERVE each other!  YUCK.

This woman from Alaska

Stewart, how about this woman from Chicago?
who is a Marxist, an American hater and a race baiter. You have it in-front of
you, why don't you ask her a real question and stop the nonsense.

This libs are really sick, they really hate small towns, and in a big condescending
way. Oh yeah, how dare Sarah Palin, or 'This woman from Alaska', ask any questions about the
almighty Obama? How dare she attack Obama?

This is a really good quote from Marxist Obama: "I just urge people
to focus on what these candidates have done in their lifetimes
not base it
on what somebody else has done"

Can she tell me/us what has Barack Obama done? Other than run for the
presidency off course. If we focus on what a candidate has done, Obama
shouldn't be the nominee. These libs are really stupid if they think people are
going to buy their bullshit.

lies,lies,lies

The thing I've liked about Barack's campaign is that, you know, he's always pushing for the decency that is there in Americans-michelle obama

Guess she's never seen obama's puppets tim blurtin, robert gibbs, claireece mccaskill when they over-shout fox reporters with stupid talking points and never answer a direct question? Then they all get this smurky satisfied look on their faces at the end of the interview.  I swear, tim blurton is reason enough not to vote for obama.  seriously.

just aks my wife

Barry has told us he goes to the mountain for answers... and she says "let's unite around a set of solutions". That is an interesting comment because throughout their campaign Barry has refused to tell us what action or process he would use in solving problems. If you read between the lines it is clear "it" will cost alot of money.

An aside... Barry told us small businesses generally did not gross more than 250k. Well, one man in my Company turned in receipts for 227k  in 2006 and we are not necessarily high tech. Somebody needs to call BS on these schemes. If for some reason we were to show gross receipts for 252k the percent of tax increase may make it easier to let a man go.

the bottom line...

Obama and his wife will say and do anything to gain the presidency, and as my father used to say.. "a snake will shed his skin to grow, BUT it is STILL a SNAKE" ......................

Vetted?

Vetted about as much as a family can be vetted?  What a bunch of complete unmitigate BS!!!!!  I have never seen a candidate for president that so LITTLE has reported.

Drink deeply of the kool-aid Stewart.

I am praying that McCain/Palin win Nov 4 so I can watch the MSM little heads explode because their attempt to cheat their candidate into the White House.

.. and I thought that I

.. and I thought that I couldn't detest a political couple MORE THAN the Clintons!

If you put lipstick on a Rottweiler...

"The voters aren't, but the angry mob seems-- do you ever watch footage of those [GOP] reallies..."

Isn't it amazing that a cheering, passionate, Republican crowd is always an "angry mob" while a cheering, passionate, Democrat crowd is just a cheering, passionate crowd.

If you want to see an angry mobs, just look at ANY Democrat rally over the past 8 years and you will see the most vile, disgusting, hate-filled, riot-inducing activity imaginable.
