Barbara Walters was interviewing ABC "Ugly Betty" star Vanessa Williams in her pre-Oscar show last night and after discussing how she grew up as an overachiever because of her race, she asked:
WALTERS: Does the fact that Barack Obama is running for president have special meaning to you?
WILLIAMS: Uh, I'm very proud. I think it's such an exciting time, um, not only for Barack, but also for Hillary. I live in Chappaqua. She's my neighbor. The fact that she might be able to be the first female president – It's a no-lose situation, and I'm really, really excited that it's happening at this point.
The actress has apparently donated to Hillary in the past (and to Wesley Clark).

Not that conservatives actually DO have a conservative candidate in the race for the whitehouse...but...theoretically I mean.

In her victory lap she should check out Obama's homo dope story floating for a purpose to prepare the public about what he is....and his Nifong moment of being indicted like Scooter Libby is still to come from Patrick Fitzgerald.
I won't feel pity for these dolts this time as they should have learned in their euphoria in Gore and Kerry that placing one's faith in princes and not God only gains one defeat.
Obama will not be President. The toss up is if Gore can pull it out for the order.

Democrats Are The Desperate Ones
February 25, 2008 - 13:21 ET by rammingspeedDemocrats have to ignore republicans/conservatives every chance they get. Even mentioning your enemy puts that enemies name in people's heads, and that's too dangerous to your cause.
The need to regain the WH, the veritable blood lust to get what they want and to wipe out their political opponents, is in plain sight.

Flip a Coin Now Williams
February 25, 2008 - 13:41 ET by PSPCplIn case you haven't heard, Ms. Williams, we live in a nation where we hold (for the most part) free and fair elections. There is another party and another man out there who is waiting to tear who ever wins the Democratic primary a new one. Given the possible outcome, it will be a no-lose situation for us. We will either face one candidate who rides a broom and or another who isn't qualified to push one.
Ms. Williams, and your

However, the adults of this country think otherwise, and are not willing to give up what good men have paid for just yet.

February 25, 2008 - 15:39 ET by Republic1One could give her the benefit of the doubt and assume the "no lose situation" is because the Democratic nominees are essentially socialist vs. socialist. But it's pretty clear she means it's because the nominee will either be female or black. It's always this way with the liberals. They'll claim to be colorblind and gender neutral, but deep down, it's all about sex and skin color.

Libs Can't Lose
February 25, 2008 - 16:45 ET by CobraMan"It's a no-lose situation"
Of course it's a no-lose situation for the liberals. For even if the Democrats lose the general election and a Republican is elected into office, the liberals will swear up and down that KKKarl Rove and the rest of the Bushitler party stole the election. They'll spend the next four to eight years making sure to remind everyone that the Republican president wasn't chosen by the people but was instead selected by the courts.
That means four to eight more years of pointless investigations, political obstructions, endless speculations, and general mistrust of a Republican president and his policies. The liberal media will be happy to highlight each of the liberal's objections, accusations, suppositions, and innuendo and present them as absolute proof that a Republican president is not fit for office.
In other words, it’ll be business as usual for the liberals. Isn't that right, Vanessa?

February 25, 2008 - 17:43 ET by UndercoverConservativeto borrow some urban street youth vernacular. But I sure wouldn't trust my politics to a pretty media puppet who lost her pageant crown for doing naughty pics. Either she had bad career advisers then or has bad career advisors now. Either way, it's those advisors telling her what to say, so who cares how famous or sexy she is.
*sigh* this is what I hate about Hollywood actresses. They're smart, tough, and desirable when they're helping blow up terrorists (The Eraser w/ Arnie!) but that's all part of the director's camera skills, the makeup artist and the editor and scriptwriter's abilities. Take the prep and the reshoots and the script away, and that sweet leading lass becomes a vacuous, inane muppet that you couldn't stand to even be in the room with.

Exciting would be good viewpoints, regardless of race or gender. More exciting than that, would be candidates that stood up to say that government is not the answer and as president, they'd not be looking to provide solutions, but be standing up for reducing government, cutting handouts, cutting taxes, and overall be looking to quit being a freakin' obstacle to the freedoms, liberties, and ingenuity of Americans!
