Because it infuriates them that they can't win in a confrontation with a conservative (mainly because they can't formulate a logical argument).

They are like children whose final response is "I hate you!!" when they are thwarted by their parents.

And talk about hateful: in the middle of his tirade he has to throw in a gratuitous insult of the child, for crying out loud....

and that weird, bad-seed daughter of his, Bindi, that weird-looking kid ..

As if that had anything to to do with his "argument"....

The hallmark of the "oh-so-sensitive" liberal....always inject something personal.

They literally cannot control themselves. They cry for everyone to be compassionate, tolerant, appeasing, etc, but very often the go against all of that and simply have to blow up to get out some things so they can then continue their previous ways.

And because they're leftists, it's not hypocrisy. Leftism is so messed up that a leftist contradicting himself is overlooked because he can't help it and most people know it.

People expect better of conservatives. When a conservative contradicts oneself, it's publicized and scrutinized and labeled hypocrisy, usually by leftists who really don't know what hypocrisy is because what they do is not deemed to be such. It's like a kid who is never told he's wrong. He grows up literally thinking that those things he has always done are ok to do, yet when he sees someone else doing them it triggers something in his mind that tells him that might be wrong but he never realizes that he does that same thing himself all the time. It's a mind disorder. In the area of conservative thinking vs leftist thinking, the leftist sees that wrong being done and jumps all over it as hypocrisy and if the leftist has a public platform (ie, MSM), uses that platform to promote the information as suddenly a major issue in hopes of broadcasting a major flaw in the opposition.

How about when Lionel was one of top stars at WABC New York along with Rush Limbaugh and Bob Grant? Back then, Lionel was, so we thought, a free-thinking libertarian. He admired Rudy Guiliani and railed against politically correct nutiness. Now he's shilling for George Soros and being spoon fed Media Matters talking points.
