On October 21, the New Jersey Family Policy Council held a protest against "same-sex marriage" in state capital of Trenton, but no one in the media seemed to notice the hundreds of citizens who showed up. On October 27, 150 protesters in Camden, New Jersey protested the Iraq War. Yawn? Not if you’re the Camden Courier-Post, which covered the liberal protest, and ignored the conservative one.

Reporter Lavinia deCastro wrote:

About 150 people stood in the rain in front of the Walt Whitman Arts Center in Camden on Saturday morning to participate in an anti-war rally that started in South Jersey and ended in Philadelphia. It was part of a nationwide "Day of Mobilization to End the War in Iraq."

The Camden paper also had a promotional story on Saturday, before the rally.

I love it when they cover

I love it when they cover these anti-war love-ins.  It is the same bored, over indulged, hippie types that it always is.  At least that is all I saw in the short clip that they showed last night on the local NYC news.  It was just a bunch of leftoids hangin' out, groovin' to some music and...  mobilizing, I guess.    Day of Mobilization..  what a joke.

And from media descriptions,

And from media descriptions, you'd think they were just regular folks - factory workers, grandmas and grandpas, and Suzy Homemakers. Then, you see the pictures and most of them look like old hippies and goth punks.

Last year, Christians in North Carolina held a big meeting in Raleigh to protest gay marriage. Wasn't even a blip on the radar. Republican rallies do happen more often than anyone reports.

Lovely Camden

Has anyone here ever been to Camden, NJ?  It's right across the river from Philly and is nothing but a crime-ridden, burned-out hell hole.  I didn't know they even had a newspaper.  It's not safe to drive through there in the DAY time.

Camden...

I have memories of Camden that still make me ill. Driving towards the Ben Franklin bridge from Camden is like driving through a porno-flick. Both sides of the highway were full of nothing but strip joints, sex toy shops, xxx movie stores, and enough cheap motels to satisfy even Bill Clinton.

Thank God I moved South!!!

I once got lost in Camden

I once got lost in Camden trying to find the Ben Franklin. That really is a nasty city.

Actually I once got lost in

Actually I once got lost in St Louis as well, and it's better than Camden. When you think of Camden, think of the worst hood in Detriot and then think the whole city looks like that. It is literally that bad.

I spent a year in an evening once on the camden side of the river near the Ben Franklin on foot.  THe neighborhood near the prison on the river reminded me of photos of Aachen Germany following WWII.

Most buildings had either fallen in or burned to the ground.  Grafitti on every flat surface.  People scattered into the crackhouses as they saw me coming up the street.  Felt the eyes burrowing into me from cover as I passed

Makes you have eyes in th back of your head.
