Time's "Ten Questions" interview feature is offered to presidential daughter Jenna Bush this week. The questions are now selected from reader questions, including (sigh) Bush-whacking liberals from San Francisco:
If the war in Iraq is so noble, why aren't you and your sister serving our country there? —Donald Pence, San Francisco
I understand that point, but there are many ways to serve our country, and I think my skills are better suited for teaching and representing the U.S. in Latin America through UNICEF. I respect the men and women of our country who are over there fighting. It is an unbelievably selfless thing to do. But if people really thought about it, they would know it's not even a practical question.
Liberals love the question, hate the answer.

LOL, we could do this all day long! I guess Nixon's dog, Checkers, should have been at the airport sniffing out drugs if the war on drugs was such a noble cause.
Jenna gave a great answer. She should have asked the questioner, "Do you think firefighters are noble professionals? Are you one?"
Nevermind Kosovo; why isn't
October 15, 2007 - 16:48 ET by motherbeltNevermind Kosovo; why isn't she in Iraq now? Her mother is hoping to become Commander-in-Chief.
She's not too old to enlist; of course, they won't match that six-figure salary she's "earning"............
Time is a Joke
October 15, 2007 - 12:55 ET by mbs6I read this article last Friday and thought the same thing. They get to ask 10 questions, and Time allows this through? Come on. It wasn't even an honest question, just some rhetorical liberal nonsense. Not only does the asker pose a ridiculous question, but he also expects Jenna to answer for her sister! LOL

Military people are some of my greatest heroes - they defend people like me as well as anyone else
Chelsea and the Bush girls probably have more courage then I do
But it's so great to have Time and the libs ridicule my admiration, enthusiasm and support for the troops and my pride regarding everything the US Mil has accomplished throughout its entire history - especially for the rest of the world...
These mocking libs are such nice, tolerant people - celebrating diversity and all...

The Terrorist Sacrifice their Children...not the USA
October 15, 2007 - 12:57 ET by JayTeeSurely they are not confused ? The Al Queda Terrorists Sacrifice their Children in Iraq. We the people of the USA don't send our children to Iraq, unless they Volunteer to Serve their Country and they have a fighting chance via Military Training. We don't "Sacrifice" our un-armed children, not does the President.....Sorry to disappoint the Blood lust BDS people.
How difficult is this to understand for the MSM's of the World ?
Just because nobody is volunteering for the Army/Navy/Marines in San Fran, doesn't mean the rest of the Country (like SF) is Desperately looking for the President's children to protect us.
Besides, if Jenna has to go, she should only go if Chelsea does....after all, Chelsea's Mother voted for the Iraq War also.

Funny how that works huh...
October 15, 2007 - 13:14 ET by DCC1Funny how that works huh... But you see it's ok for Hillary because she has seen the error of her ways so all the men and women that died because she authorized the war, died in vein. Somehow that makes it ok.
And by that logic, they should just call for the execution of Chelsea, because her mom must not think those soldiers lives were worth anything, so I guess she should share the sacrifice as well.

Yes, at your suggestion, I made sure that we headed upstairs to check out the mineral exhibit. Thanks! My daughter really liked it, particularly since so many of the exhibits had a "Please Touch" sign next to it. She zeroed in on those.
But the dinosaur exhibit was far and away her favorite. Here she is at the WWII memorial. I did a similar video for the dinosaurs, which I have yet to edit.
All in all it was a great trip. Staying in Alexandria near the metro station worked out perfectly.

October 15, 2007 - 17:34 ET by MikeBMr. Shark, only a small correction: all of your statements should be prefaced with "You can't have an opinion on..." instead of "You can't support". And questions 1 through 5 should also contain the caveat "or you're a liberal."
Therefore, question 1 should read, "You can't have an opinion on public schools unless you're a teacher or a liberal."
In the case of your sixth statement, the addition of "or you're a liberal" would have been redundant.

Bush Daughters in Serving in Iraq-Oh come off it
October 15, 2007 - 13:44 ET by geno8808The idiocy if this question is unbelievable. Obviously, under any circumstances it would be folly for the Bush daughters to deploy to Iraq. It would disrupt the whole operation. You can't have the Commander in Chief's sons and daughters serve in a war zone. It would be strategically stupid to place a high value target in theater.
Time magazine should be ashamed for asking such a stupid and uninformed question.

October 15, 2007 - 14:19 ET by Richard RomanoHey Donald Pence of San Franfreako,
A few questions for you:
1. Have you ever joined the police service? If not, why not?
2. Have you ever served as a firefighter? If not, why not?
3. Have you ever served in the armed services? If not, why not?
4. Have ever done any missionary or charity work in underdeveloped countries? If not, why not?
If you said "no" to any of these questions sir, then you are a coddled left-wing moral idiot who pontificates about things you know nothing about. Any of the above are dangerous, and all of them are vital to our world's health and stability; yet, jackass leftists like you rarely if ever do any one of them. So, please, spare us the deception and stick to your global warming hysteria and legalization of marijuana.
It's TIME to squash this accusation for good.
October 15, 2007 - 16:25 ET by tracheostomyDear Lib,
If you're still waiting on something you judge to be a "valid" answer to why Jenna Bush is not serving in Iraq, all I have to do is point across the Atlantic to Prince Harry. Go find out what happened to him.
http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30100-1266073,00.html
Now if you still need help connecting the dots, the point is that Jenna Bush would be in the same situation per your accusation.
Furthermore, and most importantly, she would place her entire unit in exceptionally high risk in her role as a high-profile target. I support the president, but if I was serving in Iraq and heard Jenna was being assigned to my unit, I'd put in for a transfer immediately.
Not good for morale; not good for the safety of the troops. You do still claim to support the troops, don't you?

Support The Troops
October 15, 2007 - 16:35 ET by allanfI guess Jenna needs to be a police officer in order to support the police.
Jenna gave a very good answer to the invevitable nonsensical question.
A more in your face approach is the following."I'm sure you support our troops ever bit as much as I do. I'm also sure you want our nation to succeed. So let me ask you, why don't you serve?"

October 15, 2007 - 19:28 ET by BDJust a thought, Since the US military self identifies as 83% conservative, this means that liberals are under represented in the forces.
This being so, is it not strange that liberal persons asking the question of Ms Bush should not ask themselves whey THEY are not serving, nor likely any of their freinds or relitives?
This is the actual reason that Charlie Rangel seeks the draft. It is to provide liberal America a chance in the elections in about twenty years. He seeks to provide the democrat ic party with at least one candidate who can say they served in a warzone.
As it currently stands the likely Republican Candidate for the election of 2020 will be able to face the camera and say "I was a platoon leader in Anbar province." His Democratic rival will likely be able to say "I dressed up in Pink and loudly protested outside of Walter Reed Army Medical Center."
Who do you think will win the elecction?
