It's not just President George W. Bush and Congress with low approval ratings these days. An online Zogby survey commissioned by The Poynter Institute should be a wake up call for the American news media. They found a "majority of readers, viewers and listeners say they are still far from satisfied with the coverage."
So what's missing from the war coverage? More information about the Iraqi government, stories about the Iraqi people, and chronicling soldiers returning home topped the list of the type of news the respondents said they would like to receive.

We are informed because returning troops share their insight into the situation. (Not that the press asks them, it has to be family, friends, and acquantances who do the asking).

May 23, 2008 - 10:13 ET by suzycreamcheeseI can count on one hand the positive stories about the re-building of Iraq I've seen in the MSM. I'm sure they'll turn a deaf ear on viewers' suggestions to provide more even coverage. People of America are weary from liberal doom & gloom.

To reiterate: They LOATH the military. They will NEVER report anything good about them or for them. They are quick to point out any perceived wrongs of/about our military.
Watch how our military gets decimated under an Obami administration. If you thought our military cutbacks were too much under the Clinton's then be prepared for what will happen under an Obami administration. By the end of his first term we should be on a par with some tin horn third world entity
