FNC's Carl Cameron Takes the Low Road on Palin

  • Bookmark and Share

Carl Cameron of FOX News reporting for the "O'Reilly Factor" took the low road yesterday in repeating rumors and gossip from unnamed staffers in the McCain camp about Sarah Palin: her knowledge, temperament, being a shopoholic, etc.

In failing to mention the names of the accusers, or input from staffers who disagree with the rumors, Cameron failed the 'fair and balanced' creed of FOX News. Plus Cameron's somewhat fevered manner in repeating the rumors, was not only surprising, but showed his lack of objectivity.

If I could be candid for a moment: Inside fighting is all to common in campaigns, I know. When my husband, Duane, ran for U.S. Congress and lost the last time we experienced the same thing from one person on his staff who, instead of pulling 100% with the candidate, turned and created dissent in the camp. The things said were untrue, and were the fruit of those who couldn't handle losing well. How do we know that this is not what is happening with these few (how many are they? we don't know, could be one instigator) McCain staffers?

The most popular Governor in the United States with an 80% approval rating in her own state of Alaska, continues to be portrayed negatively by the media. Perhaps it will be found that one of more of these nameless cowards in the McCain camp were plants, or idealogues who took the job but ended up sabotoging the effort, ie the handling of Palin with the press. Time will tell if 'fair and balanced' reporters will investigate.

Ok, this is too funny.  This is the very right now self consuming the far right.  Way to implode guys.  Maybe you should join Todd Palin who palls around with unrepentant successioninst...and get out of the REAL GOP.

moron

This is the Elite beltway GOP blaming a real conservative for the loss of the RiNO.

If the Republican party ran Palin or any other REAL conservative this ticket as the MAIN ticket, they would beat Obama with a solid thumping.  The problem was McCain is not a conservative.

And Ron Paul is a moron.  He had his chance in the primary, and blew it when he started associating with the 9.11 truthers, and other like minded morons.  Not to mention his idiotic isolationist policies.

mbuel - Little Chance for RINO McCain - Expect Him to Turn DEM

I couldn't agree more with your comments. RINO John McCain had very little chance of winning. On key issues he was as liberal as Obama as I have stated at NewsBusters many times before:

1) Immigration - If McCain had been elected he would have ignored his campaign promise of closing the borders first. He would have reached across the aisle, as he has done so many times before, and passed "comprehensive immigration reform."

2) Climate Change - McCain's climate policy with his Market-Based Cap And Trade System was a costly and worthless proposal. John McCain erroneously believed in man-made Global Warming. It was all downhill from there.

3) McCain Resurgence Plan - McCain's homeowners mortgage plan that would purchase mortgages directly from homeowners and mortgage servicers, and replace them with manageable, fixed-rate mortgages was a liberal socialist plan. "For those that cannot make payments, mortgages must be re-structured to put losses on the books and put homeowners in manageable mortgages."

Gov. Palin saved John McCain from what would have become a overwhelming lopsided victory for Obama. As it was, exit poll data showed that approximately20% of conservatives voted for Barack Obama. Obama received 39% of the independent and moderate votes.

As Rush Limbaugh said: "And the wizards of smart on our side advocated this very strategery! Just walk across the aisle. You walk across the aisle, they break your leg. You reach across the aisle, they break your arm. If you walk and reach across the aisle, they punch you in the nose!"

Expect RINO John McCain to change his party affiliation to Democrat sometime in the future. That's where he belongs. The future of the Republican Party should be in the hands of those like Sara Palin.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

John McCain proudly stated during one of the debates that he voted for Supreme Court Justices Breyer and Ginsburg. Sadly, this was our Republican nominee for President.

What's that Smell

Exactly. That's why the liberal press and Hollyweird hates Palin so. They can smell a true conservative a mile away.

you are precisely right

I don't think enough republicans (and rightfully so, but to our countries detriment to be sure) could put the nose plug on and pull for Obama.

Every time I heard him speak on 2 and 3 during the October debates I cringed.  There were times he sounded more liberal than Obama.

For once, I must agree.

Elections do have consequences, Uber.

In this case, grave consequences for the United States.  She will be damaged, perhaps beyond the ability of future Administrations and Congresses to repair.

And here are some points for your navel-gaz... um, I mean meditation:

  1. BHO's media sycophants are, slowly, beginning to admit that Mr. Change is nothing but the leader of a cult of personality.
  2. He's already broken a campaign promise (as noted elsewhere at NB) by hiring Emanuel.
  3. Not to mention breaking it again by tapping Biden as his running mate in the first place.
  4. Oh, and he trashed another one by telling lobbyists they, too, could work in the service of the Lightworker.

Good morning Mike

Biden was the perfect choice for VP under Hussein. He is too weak to object to anything, too stupid to know better, and anything he says can be written off as another hoof in mouth, tunnel vision remark.

You are correct, sir.

Joe the Biden isn't exactly a forceful presence in the incoming administration.

And if he ever does muster up the fortitude to disagree with the Lightworker, it'll be "Oh, you know Joe, he says those funny things" all over again.

--Mike

www.thebrattonreport...

Hey, Mike...

Mike,

You need to relax...and realize your...

fear of the unknown...fear of change, No hope, No optimism and you're clinging to the last vestiges of what you thought was the correct path to your salvation only to find it was a dead end to failure.

Feelings of despair?...gosh, welcome to the real world, our world, of failed policies and lies. Now is the time for change...and hope. What will you do to mend the deep divide caused by the current President and his Administration? Bury your head in the ground and wait for someone to tell you everything is okay? Look around the world has changed.

Übercon

So much for "I'll never respond to you again!"

Yeah, that lasted awhile, didn't it?

Uber, I'm a Christian.  My hope is real, my optimism is unbridled, and my future is ultimately secure.  And my path to salvation, thanks, is solely through Jesus Christ--the only legitimate path.

Please don't embarrass yourself again in such a way, by making such insubstantial, grasping statements as you've made.

Oh, and the world hasn't changed, Uber.  It was taking the wrong path before, and it's taking the wrong path today.  The only difference is that, today, people like you are singing praises to the cult leader Obama as they stroll down that path.

However, I'm hoping it's not too late for you to (pardon the pun) change.

--Mike

I couldn't resist...

Mike,

I forgot to ignore you. I guess it's a new beginning since it's 1 A.B.

From a God standpoint, he gave you at least this one life for you to enjoy...you've been told what to believe by generations of men who think of an afterlife better than the life they were living. Why not appreciate the only life you know and help create a better world for everyone living in it with you, Christian and non-Christian? As a Christian...Why attack? Why criticize? Why ridicule?

I ask these simple questions since you are not being persecuted living in a society that is 80% Christian. As a Caucasian, You are not a minority (yet).  I suggest you try your stunts and antics over at huffpost, DU, DailyKos, and see what happens...of course, I know you want the comfort of being part of a pack of wolves never understanding what it's like to be a sheep. The only problem you need to realize is your part of a herd of wide eyed cows wondering where they going to now as they are being transported to the slaughterhouse. Don't thank me, thank Bush, Rove  and McCain, they didn't deliver you to the promised land of Republican Authoritarian rule. What you going to witness is the disruption of the social conservative movement. Bush/Cheney increased the powers of the Presidency, gave President-elect Barack Obama (nice ring) the ability to select the next Supreme Court appointments (Scalia is no spring chicken at the McAge of 72), and a Congress full of Democrats. The World HAS changed, just, not to your liking. Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way as Patton said. It looks like a number of Americans just spoke on Nov. 4 th!

Poor boy.

And I've spent time over the years with people who make the Kos kids, the Huffers, and the Undergrounders look like itty bitty lambs.  They responded the same way you do--by talking about everything except ideas and issues.  The quivering emotionalism of the Obama cult isn't terribly impressive, no matter where it's found.

You'd do well not to quote Gen. Patton.  Though he and I wouldn't have agreed on a number of theological issues, I know enough about the man to know he would have been much less gracious to you than I am.

However, with regard to the turnout on Election Day, I think it's great that so many people actually got involved in the process.  The challenge now is to convince more of them to vote with their intellect, rather than their emotions.

Poor boy.

There's an older information storage and retrieval technology out there with which you might not be familiar.  They're called "books."  You can learn about other places, other worldviews, and even historical figures from books.  Since I'm not in my eighties, and I doubt you are, neither of us could've had the honor of serving with Gen. Patton, so your grasping little comment is insubstantial.  He wouldn't have been at all tolerant of you, so using him to make a point is disingenuous.

And again, I don't disagree with you regarding the success of Democrat marketing.  From the moment that Obama broke a campaign promise, the Democrats raked in the cash and "dropped it like it's hot," as the kids say.

The Obama Channel on Dish TV?  Thirty-minute informercials?  Robo-calls about the dangers of robo-calls (when they're not from Obama)?  Hey, they did a good job spending over half a billion dollars to recruit for the cult.

Boy, parallel universes!

Mike,

I'll give you credit...we are on the same page. Your reliance on what people tell you was one of my points. What you know, what you believe, what you've personally experienced form the opinions you have. Those opinions can be formed from true or false accounts. Skewed views, perceptions of what's right and what's wrong, good and evil...all based upon your view through the prism of your life. We're all the same for the most part...some people win, some people lose...in the end where does it leave us?

"Our task is to deprogram the brainwashed."-Gosh, that's how I feel about young children being indoctrinated into believing imaginary beings, places, and things. All of a sudden they're adults wanting others to think the same way. If they don't persuade others in believing their way is the righteous way, they want to eradicate the non-believers from the planet.

You do realize:

1) Neo-cons are former liberals.  They left the democrat party during the 60's when the party was taken over by the cultural, anti-american radicals.

2) most conservatives do not agree with neo-con policy that would be supported by liberals like yourself.

A) the immigration BS.  Every liberal I talked to loved this crap, but they still espoused hatred for Bush.

B) The "NCLB" BS.  Every Liberal loves our central education system, even though it's a pile of crap that is working less effectively every day at educating our youth.

C) UN social programs.  Every liberal LOVES How Bush spent so much money helping people in Africa.  Most conservatives would like to have seen it done with the private sector.

You get the point?  most of the things that Neo-Cons do are straight from the liberal play book.  The difference is they still love this country.

Here's the other thing.  Would you agree that Bush's statism was flawed and Bad?

Probably like most liberals you would.  What's the answer?

A different controller of the statism?  Do you REALLY expect that to work?  Don't you think a more COMMON SENSE solution is to eliminate a large majority of the statism and let people take care of themselves?

Is that really it?

That's the best you have?

Carl Cameron...

I am really surprised that Cameron chose to report this 'story.' It's more like unsubstantiated gossip, rather than a story. It was completely one-sided, and Cameron delivered it like he was reading from the National Enquirer. I have always liked Cameron, and have thought him to be a real professional, but he went over the cliff with this one.

It is apparent that some mini-brains inside the McCain campaign are P.O.'ed that he lost, and are looking to place blame on anyone but McCain or themselves. I am frankly embarrassed that this type of behavior is going on.

Sarah has chosen to take the high road and has decided not to respond on this issue unless or until she gets the names of those who have accused her. She has  declined to get down in the gutter with those who did the mud-slinging, and has decided not to sling mud back at those who slung it at her.

If this is indicative of the type of dysfunction that was going on inside the campaign, it may very well have contributed to our loss Tuesday.

reporting this 'story' because as it stands now, it comes across as gossip. This is one-sided. Anyone can say anything about anybody, but they should be challenged on it, and at least get the other party's side, before you go public with it. Especially when such inflammatory and unflattering things are being alleged about someone.

As far as Cameron showing class about waiting until after the election to break this, that's not class...That would ordinarily be considered being professional, but in this case, the nature of the allegations and Cameron's gossipy delivery, as far as I'm concerned, cancel that out.

The bottom line is Free speech is dead and Jason & balboa

are happy about it.

Jason & Balboa are thrilled about winning ugly and come here to gloat and "mind" us.  I'd really rather have the NC's of the world here than these guys that pretend to be moderates while relishing in the fact that regular people like Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber are destroyed.

Jason & Balboa would laugh it up if the Obama thugs came to my door and destroyed me.  They would be glad that one more redneck bit the dust - good riddance in their minds.  It's very very sad what has happened to this country.

Huh?  How is free speech

Huh?  How is free speech dead?  Even if I were to accept the premise that it is, how are Bal and I happy about it?  Because I teased someone who made a hateful, barely-coherent, all-caps rant about Obama I'm anti-free speech?

Do you honestly think a vote for Obama was a vote for a V for Vendetta style gestapo?

And you continue to cling to this regular people mantra.  I'm sorry, but it does not pass muster.  Palin is a politician who willingly entered the national political scene.  I happen to think that neologistic labels about being a hockey mom and a moose hunter are pitiful when characterized as qualifications to run the country.  Doesn't mean I think they're bad things to be.  Are you not willing to even entertain the notion that the vehement reaction to Sarah Palin had to with a genuine belief that she'd be a terrible leader?

And Joe the Plumber willingly chose to exploit his exposure as an every man to campaign actively with McCain, get a book and record (?!) deal, and to publicly articulate his lack of understanding of Obama's tax plan.  JtP made those decisions, and a resultant media exposure of those decisions is no different from the justification which Ann Coulter offered in order to tear down the Jersey Girls and Cindy Sheehan; i.e. once a person leverages their "regular person" status in order to make a political statement, they are fair game.  The only difference between those two scenarios is the basic human decency of not claiming someone enjoyed their spouse's death.

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical
renunciation of all aspects of modern society, is not an authentic
alternative."

A suggestion, Jason.

Please don't compare Mr. Wurzelbacher to Cindy Sheehan and the so-called "Jersey Girls."

He had the temerity to ask the Lightworker a question for which the Lightworker had no answer, except to articulate socialism.

Cindy Sheehan has made a career of using her son's coffin as a soapbox. And the "Jersey Girls" did the same thing with the memories of their husbands.

--Mike

www.thebrattonreport...

The point is that after

The point is that after asking that question, he willingly chose to use his new status as Totem of the Everyman as a platform for his own political and personal agendas.  He, therefore, is not outside the realm of legitimate critique.

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical
renunciation of all aspects of modern society, is not an authentic
alternative."

Ah.

So Cindy and the Girls are sacrosanct, but Mr. Wurzelbacher can have his government records searched?

The point is that there's a marvelous disparity here that bears acknowledging.

--Mike

www.thebrattonreport...

Uhhh...did I say they were

Uhhh...did I say they were sacrosanct?  I said that they too willingly put themselves in a position to be legitimately critiqued.  I only cited Ann Coulter (whom I can't stand) as an example to demonstrate that the right has shown itself to be on board with this in the past.

As far as JtP's government records, if what was done was illegal - and that seems to be unclear at this time - then of course I would denounce it.

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical
renunciation of all aspects of modern society, is not an authentic
alternative."

Exactly Mike and Balboa and Jason are too dense to see it

Cindy Sheehan didn't just ask a a question when a candidate came into her neighborhood, she loudly shouted a hate campaign against the President and He still never attacked her and neither did the media.  No one went into her tax records etc...

Of course people had the right to criticize her hate speech.  JTP had no hate speech.

For the third time, the

For the third time, the point I'm making is NOT about the particular content of any of these people's speech, but about the fact that they catapulted themselves, quite willingly, into the political and public scene, and thus made themselves open to critique.  Sheehan's tax records may not have been examined - or who knows, maybe they were - but you are living on another planet if you think no one said hateful things about her.

Joe has not had hate speech, but he has said some pretty inaccurate things.  Including claiming that he was about to buy a business that he was in fact not, and lying about his own tax bracket.  Of course, now he will be in that bracket, what with the book royalties and all.

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical
renunciation of all aspects of modern society, is not an authentic
alternative."

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical

From Cool - our resident John McCain

no one said you were full of hate for regular people.  You're full of it for me - that's clear.

It's also clear that you crave acceptance from the "cool kids"

use your brain balboa- Wow is not an argument

you can't be that dense.  You don't think that people want to fit in?  Ever heard of peer pressure? No one wants to be left out when everyone is talking about Cheers at the water cooler - nothing wrong with that.

It's when the hate speech becomes the "in" thing as it has and people like you don't have enough balls to go against the crowd for fear of being on the "uncool" side.  You resort to attacking people for their personality and accents. It's very sad that you are so immature and unaccepting of people and completely okay with the spreading of hate.

No one feels intimidated to

No one feels intimidated to watch Cheers or Seinfeld or whatever. Pop culture is foremost driven by what people like. When it becomes popular enough, it becomes a big part of the culture.

Peer pressure drives teens in many ways. Not all of them involve pop culture. Not all of them are defined by intimidation.

I never attacked Saint Palin. I criticized her. Get over it. Or is she not allowed to be criticized?

Geez, Dee, way to hate on

Geez, Dee, way to hate on the regular folks.  So it's not that there's just a set of shows, films, and music that the average cross-section of Americans like, it's that they're all too weak-willed and vulnerable to suggestion to resist the insidious pop culture machine.

I certainly don't think being influenced by pop culture is "desirable".  But it doesn't foreclose a person from having an opinion on something either.

As for your incessant need to cast me as being against Regular People, I'll say only this: You, Dee, do not know the first thing about my background, my family, my wife's family, or the kinds of jobs I've had in my life.  I will tell you that I have been working since I was 10, but beyond that it's none of your business.  Suffice to say that I am in no way hateful of "regular people".  What I find both loathsome and propagandistic is the mythology of Regular People that the left and right have alternately tried to construct in order to convince 90% of the country that they should consider themselves in opposition to some fantasmatic group of effete, navel-gazing, ineffectual snobs.  It's by no means a new phenomenon, but it's become particularly galvanized in this election and Palin's disgusting "regular America" speech just sealed it for me.  It propagates this idiotic stereotype that you're only a Real American if you wear Carhartts to work, drink domestic beer, prefer Dunkin' to Starbucks, support the war, oppose gay marriage, are virulently pro-life, and have "kitchen-table conversations" about "making ends meet".  And there have been liberal equivalents to this, I know.  And there are indeed people, probably lots of them, who do indeed fit this very description.  But it is the drawing of ideological lines, and then acting as if they've always been there, and reassuring your audience that they are and always have been on the right (pun sort of intended) side of that line, that I find cynical, pandering, patronizing, and Just Plain Wrong.  And that, Dee, is why I dislike Sarah Palin's style of campaigning, to say nothing of what kind of leader I think she would be.

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical
renunciation of all aspects of modern society, is not an authentic

Jason, you just _think_

Jason, you just _think_ you're for Regular People. You'd you be surprised to find out you're not? Your Ivory Tower gives you away, doncha know?

doncha know that neither balboa or Jason can defend the points

It's all personality to them.  Neither one has addressed the hate speech and the threats against free speech that I mentioned.  Typical of the hateful left.  Attack the personality and motives and avoid the points.

Give it a rest Dee.  All

Give it a rest Dee.  All you've done is say over and over how we hate Regular People.  I give you a detailed explanation about why that's inaccurate and you decide that now its irrelevant.  Why don't you give some specifics about hate speech?  Against Palin and Joe the Plumber?  Both legitimate targets of criticism.  If some people get out of line in their criticism, that's their problem, and I certainly don't agree with anyone who becomes hateful.  But you want to cast this as an exclusively liberal behavior, when we're both currently logged onto a site that has myriad examples of conservatives doing the same thing.  So get off your high horse.

Threats against free speech?  When?  Where?  You didn't quite go into specifics there.

Unions didn't do something the way you would've liked?  That's an issue for the union's leadership and voting members isn't it?  I might not like the way the Freemasons conduct their initiation ceremony, but not being one, what I think about it isn't worth a damn.

Fairness Doctrine?  Doesn't exist.

So give me some examples of all these accusations you're making.

Seriously, to paraphrase Kathleen Parker, if electoral votes were made of bulls**t you could've gottem McCain elected in a landslide.

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical
renunciation of all aspects of modern society, is not an authentic
alternative."

What a pathetic brain dead response Jason

You don't want to get involved in decisions by Unions hugh?  That's your intellectual answer?  What a joke.  Obama is getting involved by making a law that takes THE PEOPLE's rights to a secret ballot away. The so called voting memebers are not being considered.  How convenient that you just don't think it's your business.

Have you been living in a cave?  The fairness doctrine is being pushed and could likely become law.   I guess you'd rather wait until it happens to comment.

I would love to see a link

I would love to see a link about how Obama, elected president 3 days ago, is already responsible for these things.

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical
renunciation of all aspects of modern society, is not an authentic
alternative."

So you voted for the guy and don't even know his agenda

there's a couple links right here on the side of newsbusters on who he appointed to the FCC to thug in the fairness doctrine and how getting rid of the secret ballot is a top priority.  I'm done here - you just don't care and it's a waste of my time.  Goodbye

Links on a right-wing site

Links on a right-wing site to other right-wing sites!  Hot damn, ya proved me wrong again.

And I loathe the FCC, by the way.  Obama's appointee to it is not enough to make me change my vote.

OK, see ya.  And don't worry too much about Obama's thugs, I imagine they won't be on active duty til at least February...

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical
renunciation of all aspects of modern society, is not an authentic
alternative."

My hatred? Please balboa - you are full of hate for regular

people.  You are so influenced by celebrity that YOU defend attacking citizens. Many people have seen you do it.

You also don't care that Union thugs will be able to intimidate workers.  "Regular Workers" are tradesman and teachers and anyone else who Unions set their sites on.  Explain how the secret ballot is beneficial to them please.

You also don't care about the fairness doctrine.

Your love of pop culture so obviously clouds your judgment.

Where have I defended

Where have I defended attacking citizens. Where.

When have I ever discussed "Union thugs"? That's like me criticizing you because you never defended the first Darren on Bewitched vs. the second one! Or the black & white Andy Griffith Show vs. the episodes in color! Or the Rubik's Cube vs. Tetris!

You've got a bee in  your bonnet because I dared to be cynical of the Great Sarah Palin.

And Joe the Plumber Balboa and you know it

It was just yesterday or the day before so I'm sure you have not forgotten.

You said that free speech wasn't dead and I'm giving examples of how it is - Fairness doctrine and eliminating private ballots.

Why won't you comment on them?  It's easy to just & snarkily say - "Free speech isn't dead"  anyone can do that. Use your brain and defend these policies that your heroes are advocating

Fairness doctrine - Doesn't

Fairness doctrine - Doesn't exist yet, does it? Did once before, and yet we STILL had freedom of speech. How'd that happen?

Eliminating private ballots - Don't know what this issue is. I'm too busy watching a "House" marathon on TBS.

Joe the Plumber...I said it was inevitable that he'd be attacked. Didn't say it was right.

»→ Right bal

She won't defend the first Darrin because he was secretly gay.

In fact, there are posts even as we speak calling homosexuality "dispicable deviant behavior" but we're here worrying about jackbooted thugs.  I'm always very respectful.

I would have the respect to say "dispicable deviant behavior" (not that there's anything wrong with it)

  • Where's my welfare check?

Cool - Who is she? Me?

I have no problems with Gay People - none what so ever - people's sexuality is their own business and I could care less.

I'm against gay marriage - but it has nothing to do with wanting to hurt Gay people - it has to do with what's best for children.  I'm for civil unions.

»→ Yeah

So rather than continuing your quixotic tilt, why aren't you railing against the use of terms like "dispicable deviant behavior"? (not that there's anything wrong with it.

What? No dog in the fight?  How many radio talk show hosts do you know?  How many gays?

  • Where's my welfare check?

I just did Cool - I just told you it's not dispicable

You have no point - just hatred for me - I think everyone gets that - but if you feel the need to keep repeating it - have at it

»→ Really

Did I say I hate you?  I question your reasoning powers and fairly estimate your ability to go nutzo, but I don't hate you.

I've said before this site would be less fun without you.

Can't you take a compliment?

  • Where's my welfare check?

Done cooly baby

your reasoning powers are so simple mined

What ever Dee says - attack - no matter what.  Defend Obama policies - what ever it takes.  Got it.  I'd call that pretty nutzo.  And your hate is obvious.  You don't need to say it and I don't care. I've become immune to it.   You are a very mean person and I'm done responding to you. Please do me the same favor.

»→ simple mined?

And the depth of your intuitive ability is easily mined.  Pretty much an abandoned shaft.

I'm sorry I allowed you to make me laugh.  It was cruel of me.

  • Where's my welfare check?

Wow Balboa

"Free speech is fine." Thank you boss mighty nice of you to allow that. Here is a lesson for you,Jason, and the Kos Kids. There are regular people. It is no myth. Those are the folks you constantly look down on.You have to lower your nose to see them. When it is stuck up in the air all the time you dont see much. They arent a myth. They are the ones that keep this country running. They do the sweat work that supposedly Americans wont do.They teach, work production, service industry, medical or other essential jobsThey might use a 50 cent word instead of a 5 dollar word but it means the same thing. They are Repubs,Dems, and Indies. The one thing they arent is a bunch of elitist snobs who think they are better than anyone.

See my above post to Dee

See my above post to Dee where I lay out exactly why accusing me of hating regular people is beyond stupid. I don't hate - or not believe in the existence of - what we might as well be calling blue-collar people, as that's obviously what we mean.  I'm against the mythologizing of such people for cynical political gain.  Which has been done ruthlessly in the past, oh, 5 or 6 centuries, by those of all political persuasions, but has been raised to pandering art by Sarah Palin

Sorry cowboy, but the burden of proof is on you paranoiacs to prove free speech is dead, not on me to prove it's not.  You're the ones with the conspiracy theories, it's not my job to prove you wrong.  Show me some evidence, or even a solid example, and I'll be happy to tell you why it's wrong.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go fix a kitchen cabinet.  With a hammer.  Goddamn I'm manly!  And regular.

You said I looked down my nose at them; perhaps hate was a bit strong.

But so which is it, do I use 50 cent words or am I illiterate?

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical

jason

Try reading what I wrote.

"They might use a 50 cent word instead of a 5 dollar word but it means the same."

Where did I imply that not using a 50 cent word made someone illiterate?

So...do you have some sort

So...do you have some sort of point to make, other than your apparent belief that the English language could just as easily be whittled down to 500 or so rudimentary monosyllabic words?

"The family values response, unless it is combined with a radical
renunciation of all aspects of modern society, is not an authentic

Jason

Apparently like reading comprehension it is beyond you.Since you apparently need to add things that I didnt say or implie. You can lie all you want it doesnt change what I said.Try hooked on phonics maybe it will help you with your understanding. You must be trying to get a job with the msm the way you distort what someone says or insert something not even brought up.

I don't look down on

I don't look down on people. Sorry.

Me neither.  I enjoy people.  Some of my best friends are people.

If you keep alienating

If you keep alienating other GOP'ers like me and you won't have a party at all.  Again for the good of the country.  Just call yourself part of the new neo-christian party because you are not real republicans.

Get out of my great party.

NCguy...THIS is how this works...We listen to each other when...

we have something intelligent, constructive, and coherent to say to each other. As you obviously have NOT noticed, we here at NB frequently disagree, sometimes strenuously, with each other but we do it reasonably and intelligently. You are clearly unable to do that.

And get this straight, TROLL...Everyone who chose not to vote for Obama is not a racist. What about all those that did vote for him just because he's black? Are they racist, too?

Get lost and go over to Kos and play.

Let's see what you bring to the table, NC.

(And though I've hypothesized that "NC" stands for "North Carolina," I'll let others decide if there's a more accurate substitute.)

You insist that polls show Gov. Palin was a drain on the ticket.  However, you have no actual poll numbers to support your allegation.

Your emotion-laden screeds let us know that you obviously follow the Obama cult, yet you insist you're a Republican.

You visit a site that's documented the outrages of liberal bias in the mainstream media for a couple of years now, and insist that there's no such thing as liberal media bias.

There are trolls, and there are trolls who can't even make a single point.  You, whoever you are, belong in the latter category.

Michael,

If you debate the polling data, then you show yourself as the true ignoramus.

So a socail revolt the put a relativly unknown player into the white house...and you call that a cult?  that just means the NEO CONS drove this county into the grown.

I've read the articles of this site...I can say for sure this website has a bias that taints the truth.

Dude, go shill your blog elsewhere.  You offer nothing of true opposition.

I am a true republican on a mission to take back my party.  GET OUT!

On a website that exposes a liberal bias in the media, you provide data from one of the outlets this website targets.

Brilliant.

You trying to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?

You've been here two minutes, and I'm a shill?

Two years of my participation here contradicts your theory, NC.

You're not a Republican, you're not even a conservative, and you don't even read the ("BAM!") poll PDF you post.  Quoting thusly and like so: "Seventy percent of Republicans, 68 percent of evangelical white Protestants and 67 percent of conservatives say the selection of Palin makes them more confident in McCain's decision-making.  On Ayres, similarly, 62 percent of conservatives and 67 percent of Republicans say it's a legitimate issue."

The same ABC/WaPo poll stated that, among likely voters in the poll, McCain's selection of Gov. Palin's for the ticket played well with 52 percent of the poll participants on Sept. 7th.  After withering mainstream media attacks (participated in by ABC and the Washington Post), her selection still played well with 38 percent of the group.

Republicans appreciated the pick, and even a significant portion of other voters approved.  So says the poll you thought would support your skewed worldview, NC.

And it's not just me noticing the "creepy cult of personality" surrounding the Lightworker, thanks.  However, I have noticed it for awhile.  Allow me to shill thusly, and like so:

It's not a "social revolt."  It's a cult.  There's a difference.

Fox news? Ha.

I did catch some of their act prior to the downfall of America November 4th. They were slowly abandoning any pretense of objective for their old sensationalism and hack journalism.

I see they jumped the shark finally.

Hey SZ

You going to explain your despicable comment from the other day?

McCain.
November 5, 2008 - 00:12 ET by Saint Zero

It's simple, McCain learned one thing in five years in a POW camp. It's never too late to give in and quit.

One thing you can say about these trolls is they are just about as classless as one can get.

"Television is a freak show" Bernie Goldberg

This is not like Carl

Carl Cameron has been pretty steady, pretty fair in the past.  I can only assume he was exhausted by the 18 months "on the trail" and had a jouranalistic melt down.  Take some time off, Carl.  Come back refreshed and ready to do battle with the forces of evil: Nasty Nancy and Dingy Harry.

Hooterville D... I look

Hooterville D...

I look at this differently than others do. It seemed to me that Carl was trying to drive home the point at how petty and vindictive some of McCains people were to Sarah. Remember, we don't even know if these things happened the way these people said it did because they told Carl under the cloak of anonimity (sp?).

Dear Sarah

 Making Fun of AGW http://giovanniworld.wordpress.com/

ct - I agree that Carl was

trying to let us know how stinky the environment really was inside the McCain tent - however, he did seem to take a little too much glee in reporting the petty things he had been told by the cowards who wanted the story out but didn't want to expose themselves as such.  He came across as (in my day ;-) a 13-year-old girl in the girls bathroom at junior high school - or in today's world, someone texting some nasty stuff on MySpace...VERY PETTY and uncalled for - VERRRRRYYYY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Sarah has been a class act from day one - something NO ONE in the McCain campaign can now claim - or for that matter, can Carl Cameron now claim!

Weird

It was pretty weird for the story to come out the way it did. Perhaps the story was supposed to be more on the backbiting than on Palin in particular.

At any rate, I think O'Reilley nailed it when he said there was probably a book in it for someone. Who knows, maybe Carl will be the one writing it? Look, she was pulled in from the far reaches of the Republican party and certainly hadn't been exposed to all the DC/NY/LA "intelligencia". She was Sarah being Sarah and that is EXACTLY why so many people gravitated toward her. If we really were going to clean up DC then she was a great choice for the job but McCain and the campaign NEVER fully backed her.

Remember, it was right after she was introduced that we started to see anger and excitement at the rallies. The more the Dems attacked the more committed the crowds got and the more McCain started to back away from the base. If McCain had just stood up for her and said something to the effect of :

"People, pay attention to all that garbage coming from the left. There's a really good reason for all their mud slinging and vitriol. It's because they KNOW THAT CHANGE IS COMING AND THEY"RE SCARED AS HELL!!! THEY KNOW THAT SARAH HAS MORE EXPERIENCE THAN THEIR PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE AND THEY DON'T HAVE A GOOD REASON FOR WHY THAT'S THE CASE"

He'd have ended the trash talk right then...but he didn't have the guts to do it.

The fact of the matter is that Palin invigorated the Conservative base. I went to one of her rallies and people were totally fired up about her...far more than they were for McCain. This is pure speculation but I'll bet McCain would have lost by 20% without her on the ticket.

John McCain should have backed her

immediately!  He had better turn up on the weekend shows to offer her his support over these frivolous statements.  If not, he might just as well cross the aisle and take up a seat next to Joe Lieberman and be done with us conservatives once and for all!

Sarah Palin is the ONLY reason John McCain came in with as high a percentage as he did!

Sarah brought to the campaign that special something that only comes along once in a while - the last time was a Hollywood actor everyone considered 'not qualified' and who proved to be the best thing to come down the pike for America!

Sarah - PLEASE don't judge us all by the actions and words of a few - you were MOST welcome at our Cape Cod home!!!

Sharon...thank you, I have

Sharon...thank you, I have wanted to see a story here about this today, although I still haven't made it all the way through the site...nevertheless you are dead on target, plus like you say you have been through what goes on behind the scenes...

I saw/heard this whole interview early today on Fox on the PC...I also had the same questions you presented regarding who, what, where, and why said this...plants are a plenty in parties, let alone people trying to protect their own rears for jobs in the future, blah blah blah...for Carl to not have a name or names I feel this story should not have run...just my opinion...but them again I have never, ever cared for Carl from his beginning at Fox...now that is just me and matters not to the story here.

We all know the msm are going to be busy tearing this woman to shreds before the next election...they want her gone, once and for all....they fear her more than anything else politically in the future for the time being...they will stop at nothing to achieve their agenda...and I am including some RINOs that work for the repub party too.

Major Vs. Carl

Carl is trying to out do Major Garrett, one of the hottest guys around. Carl is disgusting. He is the guy who broke the George W. Bush drunk driving story the day before the election in 2000. I have detested him ever since.

Hey Cella...I am glad

Hey Cella...

I am glad another poster feels the same as I do about Carl as I posted above, I have never liked him from about six months after I saw him start there...he is not someone I want as any kind of a friend, I have never been impressed with his reporting, I have always had a nick-name for him between my husband and me...Deputy-Dawg...and I did so because of that flop eared winter hat he used to wear while reporting...it just fit him perfectly, then another time, they caught him putting on make-up on that pasty white face of his on a plane and I about spilt a gut laughing...

Oh well...just wanted to throw that in...

No Amount of Make Up

Hey,

There is no amount of make - up that could fix that face! Thanks for sharing that funny story.

Carl Cameron - The Video

Here is the video of Carl Cameron dishing the gossip on Sarah Palin on Shep Smith's program. Cameron starts out by saying to Smith about the infighting with McCain staffers: "Well I wish I could have told you back at the time, but all of it was put off the record until after the election."

If John McCain doesn't come out publically and defend Gov. Palin from all this tripe coming from his campaign staff I will be very disappointed.

That being said, Gov. Palin is one tough cookie and can defend herself. She is the future of the conservative block of the Republican Party.

I expect RINO McCain to change his party designation to Democrat in the future. Good riddance!

--------------------------------------------------------------

RINO John McCain proudly stated during one of the debates that he voted for Supreme Court Justices Breyer and Ginsburg. Sadly, this was our Republican nominee for President.

Sarah Palin vs Carl Cameron

I am an engineer with an interest in energy topics, and had a more than passing familiarity with Sarah Palin’s positions, and had read some of her speeches before she was mentioned as a possible VP by anyone other than Larry Kudlow.  Since I followed her activities, I know that what Carl Cameron reports is a LIE!  I read discussions where she discusses NAFTA in terms of Pacific Rim trade in oil and the refineries.  He coaches it in terms that cannot be checked but he should be fired for repeating these whoppers.  This is an old NBC tactic and Fox should not put up with it.  If there are Washington Republicans behind this then Carl Cameron should still be fired for repeating these stories.  The US has had too much of this out of Washington already.

In 1995 in the lead up to the Republican primaries, I saw a report by a lady NBC reporter who reported accusations that Phil Gramm had membership in the Aryan Nation.  When the camera came back to Tom Brokaw, I expected him to slap her down for such a fictitious report.  He did not and I realized that day that NBC was trying to maneuver the Republican nomination to Bob Dole.  The fictitious nature of the report was completely obvious to anyone who knows the Senators wife, Windy Gramm.  She came to the US as a Korean orphan baby.  Jesse Jackson has a better shot at getting into the Aryan Nation than Phil Gramm.

They will stop at nothing ... Look at Robert Bork.. Clarence Thomas .. Joe the plumber and now Sarah Palin.. This is a Blood Sport for them .. Victory is their only goal and at any price. No problem with voter fraud this time. Imagine if they had lost..

They get away with this because of the MSM. Something has to be done...

Denio, You are right, to

Denio and Ct... ...a

Denio and Ct...

...a blood-sport indeed we all know that, unfortunately the RINOs don't get it about the msm...

If they do not fight back, which they won't they are done getting anymore support from people like me who held my nose in the first place to vote for McC because of my fear of Obama and his machine along with their agenda to help destroy this great country and socialize everything they can get their hands on, take back more of the court system which the will with more far leftists on the bench they can run to with their trial lawyers and other various threats and suits against anybody/anything they want destroyed...

I feel we can do absolutely nothing about the msm...they have the control, listen to Matthews today admit it is his duty to help ensure Obama gets help/glowing reports ect...

I am past understanding how we can do a danged thing about the enemy within, starting with the msm of all venues.

Thank goodness for the internet, but I even fear for that and what we can say on down the road.

Fox, et.al.

I believe that any citizen must take anything said on any network with a grain of salt and make up his own mind. All these people are paid much too much money for what they do. The media , in general, love to cause controversy. Those on Fox and elsewhere, any of them, are never going to take on Barry Obama the way they should. Risking their money and position is simply not worth it for them. I don't blame them. Be happy for what you get. And thank God for a forum like this. It is ours for the time being. I think it will eventually be taken away. You see, your opinion is just not as wonderful as Matthews, Olberman, Hannity, Colmes, Limbaugh, Williams, Smith, et. al. Just ask them.

THE REIGN OF LAME FALLS MAINLY ON MCCAIN

"There are two types of people in this country; those who provide freedom and those who enjoy it." MM says...

Mighty... Thank you...she

Mighty...

Thank you...she said it all for me...ALL!

I heard her last night on Levin's show too...she said same thing...

I have been saying the same thing here over time anyway too, just quit saying it as she and all of us did because we feared Obama, despised the msm and liked Palin, so we held our noses and voted for him...she is exactly right...and one thing I am never, ever, doing again if I am here next election...voting for someone I despise, I watched him too many years in the Senate, I knew what he was then and still is now...and like she started out with...I am glad I never have to hear "my friends" again, unless of course it is the Senate floor, like most of the phony ba$t#rds do...

Just wanted to say thanks for the great article she wrote...she brings a smile to my face.

"America isn't the problem...America is the solution." ~ Rush Limbaugh

Hi BT...

I just love Ann's logic and humor. I can describe her best as a voice of clarity and succinctness, to the point and right on! Where as Rush is the voice of assessment.

"There are two types of people in this country; those who provide freedom and those who enjoy it." MM says...

Oh yes, Ann Coulter and her

Oh yes, Ann Coulter and her Anti semetic rhetoric is soooooooo right.  Too right...in fact NEO right.

Ann Coulter, who said "Jews must become Christians to be "perfected""

Yeah, she is the hero of our party.  Are you freaking insane?  She would lead the Hitler youth into battle. (from the back of the line)

Yes Ann said that about Jews

But she was speaking as a Christian! Don't confuse her political speech with her religious speech. You do realize that Christianity as a whole should support Isreal as a nation by commandment from God?

Oh and why do liberal idiots invoke a Hitler reference whenever they don't understand a conservative?

"There are two types of people in this country; those who provide freedom and those who enjoy it." MM says...

NC

This shows that you are ignorant concerning Ann Coulter just like you are ignorant about everything else.

1. so parse speach when

1. so parse speach when it's convient eh?  DD gave her every chance to clarify what she ment.  She ment it in a derrogitory way.

2. I don't know about Liberals but Hitler was also a neo christain conservative.  That's the connection.

3. Truth is as truth is.

I'm going to do something I don't normally do.

You've made yourself an issue, NC, so we'll discuss you.

You're not rational.  In the least.

At your core, you're a hater.

Suggesting that Adolf Hitler was a Christian of any stripe is a bigoted, anti-Christian lie that will dog you for however long you trudge around this site.

Adolf Hitler was an embodiment of evil.  He embraced evil, railed against Christianity, and killed Christians even as he killed Jews.  He was not a Christian, and he is currently (and eternally) condemned to hell.

You, NC, show yourself to be a bigoted hate-monger, and we will treat you as one in the future.   Though I'm not confident you will, if you choose to genuinely repent of your lie regarding Hitler supposedly being a Christian, I'd love to hear about it.

Ailes behind the curtain?

I e-mailed Bill O, stating that Ailes must have sent down word to trash Palin so he could run Giuliani again.  I met Carl Cameron in an airport once, (no, not an airport restroom).  He was very nice in person.  I am very disappointed and, as I opined to Bill O, I was down to one network for news on TV, now I may have to forego TV news completely in favor of the internet.

Seriously, there will be a culture war now in the GOP between country club conservatives and hunt club conservatives, and I don't mean fox hunting unless you're referring to the network!

BTW, although I couldn't find an e-mail for Carl Cameron, on the off chance I cc-ed "cameron@foxnews.com" and it didn't get sent back! (hint, hint)

"forego TV news..."

It's easy OldLawyer, go for it. One upside is that you'll never have to look for the remote.

finding fox emails

You guessed right, I think.  I once had to dash off a message to Major G. when he went on and on about how Palin had not done something in the Couric interview.  My message was that he should have read the transcript because she did confront Couric but it wasn't shown in the on-air interview.  I included the transcript in my message and guessed like you did, too.

He was a real class act - he sent me an email so quickly apologizing that he forgot to remove all his telephone numbers.  He said he would correct himself on the next show and he did, probably within ten minutes of making his mistake.

That's class - something that I think Cameron is sorely lacking.

Make Up for Champagne Carl

Carl Cameron touches up

Tue Aug 26, 2008 at 01:42:26 PM

Makeup!

That's Carl Cameron, veteran Fox News political reporter, applying pancake makeup prior to a live shot from the DNC-prepped Pepsi Center floor. And he didn't just pat the stuff on. He slowly, meticulously rubbed a puff over every inch of his face for what had to be a good two minutes. It was breathtaking, like watching Picasso clean his brushes or Vanna White touching the letter "Q." But his extra effort paid off. After completing his rap, teasing Hillary Clinton's scheduled speech on Tuesday evening and (natch) intro-ing a John McCain commercial that uses her previous criticisms of Barack Obama against the presumptive Democratic nominee, a member of Cameron's crew said, "Perfect. Now it's rolling. We're one for one."

Cameron

Cameron had no business reporting this kind of tabloid gossip and should be fired. He is a disgrace to the FNC.

Sarah Palin was the only good thing in the McCain campaign and these unnamed cowards are just trying to blame her for their own stupidity.

Today they have shown me that they not only lack competence but also honor.

Palin 2012

Gabrielle - I

couldn't say it any better!

None of the staffers can hold a candle to her! And I hope they are outed - every one of them!

I'm wondering why on earth she'd ever offer herself for lower 48 public consumption again! Let her do what she does best...and let the rest of them twist in their chairs as they wonder just what a great country we could have had with her in charge!

America's loss is Alaska's gain!

Palin, Cameron and junior high school ethics

Look, journalism used to mean something in this country.  You simply did not quote unnamed sources.  Cameron not only did this, but did it with a gushing enthusiasm that was pretty nauseating to behold.  He went on and on.... and on, again.  I don't know if you saw Greta afterwards - but she said that she thought using unnamed sources was pretty despicable.

It is patently obvious that what Cameron accused Gov. Palin of was false.  The woman's father was a teacher in a small town.  He would probably expect quite a bit from his daughter and the basic geography that she was accused of not knowing is ridiculous.  She graduated high school, graduated college  - so what if it took six years - my daughters are working through way through school, too - one is getting her Master's in Mechanical Engineering and the other her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Mathematics Engineering not teaching.)  They are taking more years than some others because they have to *pay* their own way.

Now, the more important question is - who is behind tearing this woman down and what do they hope to accomplish?

I see several factions:  Democrats - starting on election of 2010 and wanting the Repubs in discord so they can't mount a concentrated attack; Mitt Romney - wanting to tear Palin down as a competitor in 2012 before another day has passed; Rhinos - as they try to wrest control of the party away from conservatives even though they just proved they are not electable to the highest office.

Any other thoughts?

Operation Leper - Red State getting back at the Palin smearers

from the McCain Campaign.

Operation Leper

Cowardly Carl

I'm not surprised at all.

I've seen Cowardly Carl several times during the election season. His report would follow Major's. When I first began keeping up with the campaings on FOX, I thought they were both covering the Obama campaign because of their glowing reports of Barry and their bashing of McCain.

Where do critics get that FOX is far right? Hannity is the only one I know of, but he's a commentator.

I saw Cowardly Carl's gleeful "report" and was not surprised by it. That's his style. But I was surprised that O'Reilly let it go on for so long. Maybe I shouldn't have been.

Not one source. Not one document. Not one rebuttal from Palin.

If that's journalism, then shot the watchdog, because it's hiding underneath the porch.

Cowardly Carl - Part 2

From Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Cameron

Allegations of journalistic fraud

Media watchdog groups claim that on a number of occasions Carl Cameron has fabricated statements by Democratic politicians, and that this was done to boost their Republican opponents. One claim cited by Media Matters for America was a claim that John Kerry labeled George W. Bush a "warmonger" who intended to create "perpetual war" around the world; Media Matters asserted that no such instance of that criticism ever occurred.[7]

In another instance, Cameron wrote a story posted on the Fox News website which included fabricated quotes from Kerry; the senator purportedly called himself a "metrosexual" and Bush a "cowboy" and spoke effeminately about a manicure. Official Fox News spokesman Paul Schur later said it was intended to be an internal joke not for publication, and the network apologized for the piece, but only on its website, and only through a tag on the article in which these quotes appeared.[8]

Cowardly Carl - Part 3

From the Huffington Post:

'Thrown Away Flags' Story False, Dem Convention Official Says

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/06/thrown-away-flags-story-f_n_124499.html

Fox News' Carl Cameron and Bonney Kapp reported that they had "been told" that "a vendor at Invesco Field found the flags, which were going to be thrown out, and turned them over to the McCain campaign."

The Democratic convention official says that's not true.

"It's pretty reprehensible on their part," he said. "Someone made an assumption, took the flags, and essentially lied about what was going to happen to them. I mean, c'mon, we were never ever going to throw out flags."

  • Where's my welfare check?

Where are the blogs about McCain's part in this?

Where are the blogs about McCain? This is not a media story. This is a McCain story. Either he is senile or an absolute coward - perhaps both? We are given this vision of a war hero of 40 years ago, and he has demonstrated nothing heroic in his campaign. He demonstrated incompetence. So either McCain was such an absolute dolt that he selected a publicity stunt, no brain diva to be Vice President of the United States of America, or he is too much of a coward to come to her defense right now and reveal the probable source of the slander.
So is McCain an idiot or a coward? His silence say he's one or the other or perhaps both. Again, just like the financial meltdown, he exhibits NO leadership qualities.

Are You Cowardly Carl?

The election's over. McCain has conceded and has moved on. You should do the same.

This website critiques the media. This thead is critiquing Cowardly Carl Cameron's unsubstantiated rumors and Fox News's willingness to run it as a news story. Don't change the subject.

Which is why I asked where are the blogs concerning McCain

Which is why I asked where are the blogs concerning McCains part in this matter. Keep up sweet pea.

You're absolutely right

How many times has McCain defended Obama during his campaign?

He should extend the same courtesy to his running mate.

Palin 2012

It's not about McCain

You're still trying to change the subject. It's about Cowardly Carl, not McCain.

Here's the deal with Fox news

They are NEVER fair in one given story. They are fair in the sense that right biased stories number the same as left biased stories. Thats kind of weird because it really means they are never fair except in a numerical average.

Shepard Smith got all indignant with Ralph Nader's stupidity in using the "Uncle Tom" phrase and Joe the plumber agreeing with a comment about Obama being bad for Israel, but where was his personal indignation with Jesse Jackson's or Congressman Lewis' equally as offensive remarks?

Its like any other media source - anchors telegraphing their political preferences. But Fox does damage control by having O'Reilly "interview" Smith to prove he's fair and balanced. Yea - right.

You know, I doubt any of us here could argue with that!

"There are two types of people in this country; those who provide freedom and those who enjoy it." MM says...

Carl Cameron

I thought this subject was about Dingy Harry's brother Carl?  What's up with Fox letting him snivel on and on about Sarah?  He should have had to back his treasonist remarks with names and faces!  Common Carl, grow some!

Greta is PISSED about the "unnamed sources" of this bilge

Check out the video here at MsUnderestimated on Greta's take of the continuous reportage on her own networks - citing "unnamed sources." She's none-too-happy about it and neither am I.

http://msunderestimated.com/2008/11/06/gretas-pissed-about-the-sarah-rumors-video/

Greta

Has it right. This is school yard garbage by the staff and Fox for reporting it with out actual name resources.

These unamed sources

These unamed sources supposedly from McCain camp are more than likely unemployed and looking for work as the campaign is over.  This material will look good on their resume when job hunting with the libtards but will conveniently be left out for Repub job interviews.

Cameron blew it at the end, he is just another member of the MSM which we all know lean heavily to port (left).  This was totally unnecessary and showed a lack of class for him as well as for FOX and O'Reilly.

BTW:  As Cameron put this out on the O'Reilly show, it reminds me that Bill has turned into a panzy since his restaurant encounter of being called a racist by Jesse and Sharpie.  It scared his little self absorbed world so bad he has not been the same since.  He has been emasculated in my view.

Palin will be just fine back home in AK and in a year or two may want to come back to the National scene.   She is a class act with a real life and purpose.   She was the classiest of them all, by far.

CARL CAMERON

I am furious at what cameron did, but was not surprised, I have sent emails the last three weeks because I was getting tired of his coverage of MCCAIN AND PALIN, it was not near as good as how MAJOR GARRETT covered obama, and it was so obvious, as if it was a chore for him to do, and I am also furious lately at orielly, noticed his defense of obama many times especially when talking to LAURA INGRAHAM, tonight orielly had shep on and shep is another one that leans left sometimes and he actually said about JOE THE PLUMBER, he did not seem to agree with orielly about what they have done to him, shep said like what do you expect, they put him out there on the trail, as if it was ok to investigate JOE because the campaign used him, he said he was used, so he's fair game. outrageous!! I could not beleive shep as arrogant as usual. But Sharon thank you so much for writing this so we could respond at how low this was, I did email fox about this and let them know that I am a 24/7 viewer since it first came on air and this is the first time I have quit watching the last couple of weeks because of some who have gone overboard on the fair and balance, chris wallace being one of the worst, and shep and now orielly, I watch fox and friends, sean, greta, right now that's it, I do not want to watch all the glowing and love fest for obama. how could cameron have done this, unnamed sources, he was giddy with excitement and it sounded like someone in the campaign was just trying to protect themselves and did not want to be blamed for how they handled PALIN, I do not beleive she acted like a diva, I hope mccain says something soon to deny these rumors and take up for PALIN. I loved her and I think she was trashed and treated so bad. then cameron adds to it, he is just as bad as the msm!!

Can't we (conservatives)

Can't we (conservatives) have one lousy TV channel all to ourselves?  The Liberal-sucking alphabet stations and news services are more than enough for Communists to get those tingly feelings up their legs or whatever it is when they get turned on by the Obama Messiah.

This Fair and Balanced thing bites.  If I want to watch Liberal talking heads, all I have to do is switch to any other news network. Alan Colmes I can handle-ticks me off, and I agree with 0% of what he says, but somehow I still like the guy.

Shepard Smith is really, really getting on my nerves.   He kept sitting there with those daily cutesy remarks about there being only __ days until the election is over and how relieved he'd be just to get it over with-a mere annoyance to him.  I'm sitting there biting my nails and drinking Pepto Bismol as the election's approaching and he's blowing it off like, 'whatever'.

Cameron's lack of balance

Perhaps this is why Carl's not being mentioned as Brit's possible replacement.

»→ Brit's replacement.

Seems there isn't enough prime time in the evening to house the FOX bullpen.

Far as I know, they still intend to put Glenn Beck in the time slot.  SWEEET!

But they better find something Prime Time for Megyn Kelly real quick.  That woman has got an excellent instinct for cutting through the nonsense.

  • Where's my welfare check?

Cool Arrow

The longer I watch Megyn Kelly the more I admire her. She and Sarah Palin are cut from the same cloth - tough-minded and independent.

I agree that FoxNews had better use her or lose her. She should have her own show where she can express her opinions and tangle with guests, similar to Bill O'Reilly and Greta.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Charles Krauthammer has post-election analysis titled: The Campaign Autopsy, although I don't agree with his opinion of John McCain.

Shep is the male tart at Fox

As far as I can see, Shepard Smith is the male version of Katie Couric. Now seriously, his bias is not *that* extreme, but why is he telegraphing his political positions at all? To prove he's not just a pretty face?

Shepard is a rabble-rouser

He just tries to incite the masses.  Watch him swing two directions on different days on the same issue.  It is really annoying to behold as he is *supposed* to be on a news program as opposed to the commentator shows (O'Reilly, H&C, and Greta.)

If I had to call a bias, it would be slightly liberal but for the most part I think he is just on the side of Shepard - whatever gets the most ratings for Shepard is what he will champion.

I guess you can tell he's not my choice to replace Hume.

He makes me sleepy

Does simply looking at Carl Camron make you sleepy.  Put some toothpicks in to hold up your eyelids.
