Is anyone surprised at the suppression of information on Palin? It's disturbing to learn how close we came to havin' a bunch of Wasill-billies in DC. It seems the initial reports were only part of the story...How about journalists reveal everything- left & right?  Ohhh...I keep forgetting the money involved.

As for Carl, his little Audi TT was a lot cheaper than the Porsche Carrera he drives now...no wonder he's lookin' for the meaty stories...sleaze sells, he should know, he's been doing it for years!

I am really surprised that Cameron chose to report this 'story.' It's more like unsubstantiated gossip, rather than a story. It was completely one-sided, and Cameron delivered it like he was reading from the National Enquirer. I have always liked Cameron, and have thought him to be a real professional, but he went over the cliff with this one.

It is apparent that some mini-brains inside the McCain campaign are P.O.'ed that he lost, and are looking to place blame on anyone but McCain or themselves. I am frankly embarrassed that this type of behavior is going on.

Sarah has chosen to take the high road and has decided not to respond on this issue unless or until she gets the names of those who have accused her. She has  declined to get down in the gutter with those who did the mud-slinging, and has decided not to sling mud back at those who slung it at her. 

If this is indicative of the type of dysfunction that was going on inside the campaign, it may very well have contributed to our loss Tuesday.

I saw/heard this whole interview early today on Fox on the PC...I also had the same questions you presented regarding who, what, where, and why said this...plants are a plenty in parties, let alone people trying to protect their own rears for jobs in the future, blah blah blah...for Carl to not have a name or names I feel this story should not have run...just my opinion...but them again I have never, ever cared for Carl from his beginning at Fox...now that is just me and matters not to the story here.

We all know the msm are going to be busy tearing this woman to shreds before the next election...they want her gone, once and for all....they fear her more than anything else politically in the future for the time being...they will stop at nothing to achieve their agenda...and I am including some RINOs that work for the repub party too.

I e-mailed Bill O, stating that Ailes must have sent down word to trash Palin so he could run Giuliani again.  I met Carl Cameron in an airport once, (no, not an airport restroom).  He was very nice in person.  I am very disappointed and, as I opined to Bill O, I was down to one network for news on TV, now I may have to forego TV news completely in favor of the internet.

Seriously, there will be a culture war now in the GOP between country club conservatives and hunt club conservatives, and I don't mean fox hunting unless you're referring to the network!

BTW, although I couldn't find an e-mail for Carl Cameron, on the off chance I cc-ed "cameron@foxnews.com" and it didn't get sent back! (hint, hint)

Cameron had no business reporting this kind of tabloid gossip and should be fired. He is a disgrace to the FNC.

Sarah Palin was the only good thing in the McCain campaign and these unnamed cowards are just trying to blame her for their own stupidity.

Look, journalism used to mean something in this country.  You simply did not quote unnamed sources.  Cameron not only did this, but did it with a gushing enthusiasm that was pretty nauseating to behold.  He went on and on.... and on, again.  I don't know if you saw Greta afterwards - but she said that she thought using unnamed sources was pretty despicable.

It is patently obvious that what Cameron accused Gov. Palin of was false.  The woman's father was a teacher in a small town.  He would probably expect quite a bit from his daughter and the basic geography that she was accused of not knowing is ridiculous.  She graduated high school, graduated college  - so what if it took six years - my daughters are working through way through school, too - one is getting her Master's in Mechanical Engineering and the other her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Mathematics Engineering not teaching.)  They are taking more years than some others because they have to *pay* their own way.

Now, the more important question is - who is behind tearing this woman down and what do they hope to accomplish?

I see several factions:  Democrats - starting on election of 2010 and wanting the Repubs in discord so they can't mount a concentrated attack; Mitt Romney - wanting to tear Palin down as a competitor in 2012 before another day has passed; Rhinos - as they try to wrest control of the party away from conservatives even though they just proved they are not electable to the highest office.

I'm not surprised at all.

I've seen Cowardly Carl several times during the election season. His report would follow Major's. When I first began keeping up with the campaings on FOX, I thought they were both covering the Obama campaign because of their glowing reports of Barry and their bashing of McCain.

Where do critics get that FOX is far right? Hannity is the only one I know of, but he's a commentator.

I saw Cowardly Carl's gleeful "report" and was not surprised by it. That's his style. But I was surprised that O'Reilly let it go on for so long. Maybe I shouldn't have been.

Not one source. Not one document. Not one rebuttal from Palin.

If that's journalism, then shot the watchdog, because it's hiding underneath the porch.

Fox News' Carl Cameron and Bonney Kapp reported that they had "been told" that "a vendor at Invesco Field found the flags, which were going to be thrown out, and turned them over to the McCain campaign."

The Democratic convention official says that's not true.

"It's pretty reprehensible on their part," he said. "Someone made an assumption, took the flags, and essentially lied about what was going to happen to them. I mean, c'mon, we were never ever going to throw out flags."

Where are the blogs about McCain? This is not a media story. This is a McCain story. Either he is senile or an absolute coward - perhaps both? We are given this vision of a war hero of 40 years ago, and he has demonstrated nothing heroic in his campaign. He demonstrated incompetence. So either McCain was such an absolute dolt that he selected a publicity stunt, no brain diva to be Vice President of the United States of America, or he is too much of a coward to come to her defense right now and reveal the probable source of the slander.
So is McCain an idiot or a coward? His silence say he's one or the other or perhaps both. Again, just like the financial meltdown, he exhibits NO leadership qualities.

These unamed sources supposedly from McCain camp are more than likely unemployed and looking for work as the campaign is over.  This material will look good on their resume when job hunting with the libtards but will conveniently be left out for Repub job interviews. 

Cameron blew it at the end, he is just another member of the MSM which we all know lean heavily to port (left).  This was totally unnecessary and showed a lack of class for him as well as for FOX and O'Reilly. 

BTW:  As Cameron put this out on the O'Reilly show, it reminds me that Bill has turned into a panzy since his restaurant encounter of being called a racist by Jesse and Sharpie.  It scared his little self absorbed world so bad he has not been the same since.  He has been emasculated in my view.

Palin will be just fine back home in AK and in a year or two may want to come back to the National scene.   She is a class act with a real life and purpose.   She was the classiest of them all, by far.

Can't we (conservatives) have one lousy TV channel all to ourselves?  The Liberal-sucking alphabet stations and news services are more than enough for Communists to get those tingly feelings up their legs or whatever it is when they get turned on by the Obama Messiah.

This Fair and Balanced thing bites.  If I want to watch Liberal talking heads, all I have to do is switch to any other news network. Alan Colmes I can handle-ticks me off, and I agree with 0% of what he says, but somehow I still like the guy.

Shepard Smith is really, really getting on my nerves.   He kept sitting there with those daily cutesy remarks about there being only __ days until the election is over and how relieved he'd be just to get it over with-a mere annoyance to him.  I'm sitting there biting my nails and drinking Pepto Bismol as the election's approaching and he's blowing it off like, 'whatever'.
