Jack Black Grills Stephanopoulos: Which 2016 Dem Do You Love More?

July 8th, 2015 10:32 AM

Even a Hollywood actor knows how much George Stephanopoulos loves Democrats. On Wednesday, star Jack Black appeared on Good Morning America and turned the tables on the former Bill Clinton operative. At the end of an interview for his new movie, Black asked for Stephanopoulos's preference: "Real quick, Hillary Rodham Clinton or Bernie Sanders?"

Pressing the host for an answer, Black informed that "America knows the rest." Stephanopoulos dodged, "You know I'm not going to answer." Black demanded, "You just have to say one of the names!"

Despite the host's refusal to reply, the answer is obvious: Hillary Clinton. Perhaps Black has forgotten Stephanopoulos's secret $75,000 donation to the Clinton Foundation or his on-air apology after an uproar.

Maybe the actor is unaware of the former Clinton operative's 1999 declaration (in the book All Too Human) of affection for the former first lady: "I love you."

On June 17, when Stephanopoulos interviewed Donald Trump and mentioned Mrs. Clinton, the candidate rebuked, "Of course, you shouldn't be talking to me about that, in all fairness. You shouldn't be asking me those questions, but I don't mind."

JACK BLACK: Real quick, Hillary Rodham Clinton or Bernie Sanders?

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: Whoa.

BLACK: Simple question.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Simple question?

BLACK: You just have to say one of those and America knows the rest.

STEPHANOPOULOS: He's made it a real race. You know I'm not going to answer. But you tell me –

BLACK: You're not going to answer? That's the whole thing is the button! [Hits button.] You have to answer! You don't have to say anything about them. You just have to say one of the names!

STEPHANOPOULOS: I've said he's made it a real race.

BLACK: "Oh, he's made it a real race." Okay, all right.
