April 14th, 2015 4:24 PM

As though they were teenage girls chasing after the Beatles, journalists on Tuesday excitedly chased after Hillary Clinton and her "Scooby van." MSNBC kept vigil, waiting for a 2016 campaign event. Reporter Alex Seitz-Wald gushed, "We can see the motorcade approaching right now... We see the Scooby van, the famous Scooby van is coming down the road right now towards our set up now!"

Anchor Thomas Roberts wondered where Clinton's motorcade is "in relation to where you're standing." Seitz-Wald narrated as reporters streamed past him, excited to catch a glimpse of the Democrat: "The Scooby van is coming up right here, right behind our camera. Here it is. There she goes. And Secret Service following behind her. Okay, they are going around to the back...You can see the media running behind me here to chase the Scooby van."

Roberts marveled, "Wow... wow."

ALEX SEITZ-WALD: We can see the motorcade approaching right now. They are turning the corner and looks like they are about to head down – We see the Scooby van, the famous Scooby van is coming down the road right now towards our set up now.

THOMAS ROBERTS: Alex, where is she expected to walk in in relation to you're standing? Where's the entrance where she's supposed to walk in?

SEITZ-WALD: Well, we believe she's going to come in behind us unless she comes in the back. But the main entrance to this building is just over my left shoulder here. And the Scooby van is coming up right here, right behind our camera. Here it is. There she goes. And Secret Service following behind her. Okay, they are going around to the back. So, we're not -- you can see the media running behind me here to chase the Scooby van.

ROBERTS: Wow.

SEITZ-WALD: She's going around to the back.

ROBERTS: Wow.

SEITZ-WALD: We'll see her very soon.

ROBERTS: Guy in the Orange pants is pretty quick. I'm looking at these people -- Wow! Orange pants, he's really outnumbered now by all of the people racing around the back. I'm glad you have not taken off from your live shot and remain with me.
