Chris Matthews: 'Thug' Republicans Are 'Muggers' Who 'Assault' Obama
Chris Matthews doesn't seem to be running out of violent imagery to use in his smears against the Republican Party. On Tuesday, the Hardball host bombarded the GOP, comparing them to "muggers" who assaulted Barack Obama during the debt limit standoff.
Explaining his current metaphor, Matthews slammed, "What we saw, what I saw at least, was one guy with a knife and the other trying to avoid being cut. It was a thug attacking a victim. It was a mugging." He acidly added, "Now, the good news...is that the victim did get through it."
Ratcheting it up, Matthews concluded, " So, the mugging continues, again and again and again. The people who perpetrated this assault on the President will come back to do it again."
Matthews has previously denounced Republicans as "terrorists" "Wahhabis" and baby kidnappers.

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Let me finish tonight with this bad experience we've all just been through. What we saw, what I saw at least, was one guy with a knife and the other trying to avoid being cut. The bad news is that the mugger got what he wanted. He got the wallet. I put you the most important question of the week, of the month, of the year, of this presidency, of our time: Is there any doubt that he, the mugger, will try it again? Not a whit. This morning the Republican leader of the Senate declared his intention to name not a single member of a new special joint committee to make the second cut in the debt, who is open to a tax or even a revenue increase. So, the mugging continues, again and again and again. The people who perpetrated this assault on the President will come back to do it again. The gang will be back and each time will make new demands, make no concessions, do exactly what they want to get what they want. And what they want is to control the government to their ends without having to win the White House or control the U.S. Congress. They can carry on the Bush economic policy right through the end of this presidency, as long as they're willing to mug and the President is willing to turn over the wallet. That's Hardball for now. Ok, you know what, this is just plain ridiculous, someone is obviously allowing him to go on and on with this violent talk because I can't believe he's gone on this long the past few days without catching management's attention.
So is there some sort of lawsuit or something that can be taken against GE or MSNBC or whatever company to get him to stop? Seriously, they are deliberately trying to provoke some sort of violence against Republicans for a "win" that isn't a win.
Sooner or later some psycho is going to act on this, attack the Republicans, even the spineless ones(who are really on their side), and wrongfully I might add, but with severe consequences.

Well we've had almost 3 years of Obey mugging us, with his stimulus, health care, and staggering unemployment, with an actual rate of 16.2 % counting those under employed, and those who have just plain given up on finding his "shovel ready" jobs.
