...but this is ridiculous. The way people are talking about Obama reminds me of the Left Behind book series. It almost seems as if people are gearing up to worship the guy as a god. Some in the media are even making that obvious, ie this guy. 

 Scary thoughts, though I would not go so far as to presume that Obama is the anti-christ. Scary what I am seeing these days, nonetheless. 

That people actually believe Obama is going to help problems in the middle east is not what is so baffling to me. It is the fact that he is willing to belittle his own country, damage his own countries relationships with valuable allies, and cater to his own countries enemies, to achieve "peace". Obama is nothing more than a marxist muslim, and has no business as POTUS.

Taxed Enough Already

This is just talk management; when you talk about the problem instead of fixing it.

Classic Obama: the car breaks down, and the passengers complain. Obama's response is to get the people to discuss their feelings about the car in a calm, reasonable, academic manner.

Leadership, however, is fixing the damned car. Calming the talk is nice, but until you fix the problem, it's just talk management.

Obama has told America that we need to work together. Great. On what? How? What's the problem? Do you have a suggestion for a solution? Because if all you're going to do is to tell us, like a first-grade schoolteacher, that we need to do things tolerantly, please get out of the way and let some actual-problem solvers get to work.

All of these "play nice" bromides are not leadership. I can't help but remember the quote from Teddy Roosevelt about people who think they're "above it all" ...

Let's face it, Obama doesn't like to deal with conflict. Play together. Play nice. He wants to be above it all, "teaching" the children how to play. He wants to mute the argument instead of solving it.

Only he didn't show the way.  All he did was give a longwinded, heavily embellished expansion of Rodney King's "can't we all get along" blatherings.

When I think Obama, I see the picture of him standing on the steps while Odiniga is speaking to a tribe of rioting Kenyan ignorants. That's what he meant, right?

I wouldn't say Obama voters are ignorant, they just think you are.

Evan Thomas: 

Obama the "great teacher?"  How so?  You are kidding right?  I guess he stands above everybody when on a podium but otherwise no.  "Sort of God?"  Stop and re-read what you have vomited out and really ask yourself, "Did I really say that?"  "How gassed was I when I said those things on national television."

Either check into out-patient treatment for cult adhesion disorder Mr. Thomas or you have a moribund sense of humor that needs to be checked at the door.

Evan Thomas is the grandson of Norman Thomas, who ran for President  as the Socialist Candidate after Eugene Debs stopped running.

Norman, Evan's grandpappy, is famous for saying that "America will one day accept socialism without the word "socialist" or "socialism" ever being part of the process..." or words to that effect.

Lil' Evan is just like his grandpappy, & that's what he means when he thinks Obama is like God.   Obama will make the US socialist like Evan's dream come true.... 

No, let the Jews, the Palestinians and others in the region sort out their own problems.

If the Israeli people get sick of being rocketed and bombed and if the Palestinians get tired of living in squalor they will work something out if they know nobody's going to come to their aid.  If not they will simply destroy each other.

The only reasons I believe in supporting Israel is that their enemies are getting support from many countries and because they are a democracy.  From what I've seen supporting the Arabs has only increased their ability to make war upon the Israelis.

If the IRA, Dublin and London could reach a peaceful arrangement, then so can these guys.
