The World (And the Media) Awaits Barack Obama

Who would you think is more concerned with the best interest of the United States? Americans? Or those in other countries?

If you chose the latter, then you are likely a liberal. You are also, apparently, like many other countries in the world. Countries that will go from respecting the authority of this nation, to snickering behind our backs at the possibility of electing a President who thinks the world is his constituency, and not his native country.

The media is unconsciously making this obvious, by revealing what may be a major reason we should be concerned about the possibility of the phrase ‘President Barack Obama.’

The world is salivating at the prospect of appeasement, and that will be Obama’s number one foreign policy platform.

Just check out these Election Day headlines:

World hopes for a 'less arrogant America'

World looks forward to new era with US

Obama victory will give the USA chance to mend fences with the world

What is the overriding theme to these headlines? An Obama administration benefits other nations, but not necessarily the United States.

Need more proof? Just ask Hugo Chavez:

Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez, an arch-critic of the United States, said that an Obama victory would mean "a small light on the horizon".

If McCain wins, "we know what to expect: struggle and more struggle, resistance and more resistance," Chavez said in a speech.

He said it would mean a continuation of the policies of President George W. Bush, who Chavez has accused of trying to topple him.

Obama would be "a small light on the horizon" for US-Venezuelan relations, he said.

Obama would be a small light on the horizon according to… a dictator!

Other ringing endorsements for Obama? Fidel Castro, the Iranian Regime, and Hamas to name a few.

The world is overwhelmingly anticipating a Barack Obama presidency to be sure. And the media is not presenting it as support by dictators and those of questionable intent towards the U.S. No, they are presenting it as an opportunity for these countries to walk hand in hand in some sort of false utopia, with a man willing to negotiate and appease terrorists and nations who harbor terrorists.

They are pushing this theme hard on Election Day. Making sure that you, the voter, realize that the world is voting for Barack Obama, and to do otherwise makes you wrong.

The question that every voter should ask is, am I casting my ballot for the world, or am I casting my ballot for the greatest nation in that world?

It’s your choice as an American.
