Does the MRC or any other groups, collection of people, etc. have the pull and/or wherewithall to pressure the media outlets with information such as this or the letter that Noel referred to??  Is there a way to pool our power to get the MSM to "have" to report these things?  It would truly be a disaster if this information weren't able to reach the masses---the sheeple that know no better than to just listen to the talking heads on their idiot boxes.

Generally, the MSM will not report on the real science of "global warming", which has been easily accessible for a long time. There's too much money for them at stake. GE owns NBC outright, for example. GE has a lot of gain from keeping the "we are all going to die from man-made global warming" nonsense--it is developing "energy saving products" that will earn them billions if the "crisis" continues. You will never in your lifetime see NBC do an honest, scientifically sound report on "global warming". GE won't let them. Interestingly, Albert Gore has partnered with GE to push the warming "crisis".

At the very least, GE might consider full disclosure re their ownership of NBC before every "global warming" story shoved down ourr throats by NBC. They won't, of course. It would show their true colors.

So if the U.S. is the central carbon criminal, wouldn't the $10-40 billion dollars a year be better spent solving our filthy dependency on this "deadly" molecule instead of transferring it to a third party whose only solution is to plant a tree and stop having babies? That kind of dough could help overhaul our entire energy industry, satisfying the global warming advocates' supposed goal of saving our world from complete annihilation. By redistributing resources to Gore & Co., you're actually taking money away from resources that would otherwise help solve the problem. Is the irony lost on these folks? Have the priorities shifted a wee-bit from the original thesis?

Wasn't it Jacques Chirac who stated, and I paraphrase, "Kyoto is the first step towards a world government."?

In Canada, our government system allows us to pretty much sign international agreements and then promptly ignore them as demonstrated by our signing of Kyoto followed by ZERO action.  My understanding is for you guys down south, your constitution forces congressional actions to be subservient to international agreements.  Perhaps one of the few mistakes made by your founding forefathers, for whom I have tremendous admiration.   I don't profess to be an expert.  Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. If true, that's ALL you need.  The words of an unelected, unaccountable body staffed largely by representatives of dictators and non-democratic countries, a.k.a. the UN, taking precedence over your elected bodies.   Any federally elected rep. who supports Kyoto should be immediately fired for being just plain stupid.

We will never hear about it since the MSM is in the pockets of this idea. Want proof, force the alarmists to measure global warming today. Yes today. Their models, which is all they have to base the alarmism on, all predict that CO2 forced global warming is occurring today. In fact their own reports say that it has already caused 0,7 degrees C. Therefore you can measure it. We have satellites in orbit right now that can do this. The only problem is that when they do the measurements, the unique signature of CO2 forced global warming is not present in the data -- ooops, can't tell anyone about that.
