As reported by NewsBuster Matthew Balan, Barbra Streisand's endorsement of Hillary Clinton provoked liberal CNN columnist Jack Cafferty to call Streisand a 'reclusive, over-the-hill vocalist'. However, unlike supposed professional journalist Cafferty, 'Wheel of Fortune' host Pat Sajak managed to take an analytical approach to the entire celebrity endorsement system, and in the process, expose more than a few of them as emperors without clothes. Sajak has a remarkably clear view of the actual role of a celebrity and he appears to be well aware that most celebrities are experts in exactly nothing. He writes in Human Events online magazine,
If any group of citizens is uniquely unqualified to tell someone else how to vote, it’s those of us who live in the sheltered, privileged arena of celebrityhood. It’s one thing to buy an ab machine because Chuck Norris recommends it (he’s in good shape, isn’t he?) or a grill because George Foreman’s name is on it (he’s a great guy, so it must be a great grill!), but the idea of choosing the Leader of the Free World based on the advice of someone who lives in the cloistered world of stardom seems a bit loony to me.
Since this category also includes the vast majority of professional journalists (and those who do not live in this privileged world desperately want to), how much are we betting that any of the supposed 'mainstream' media will pick up Human Events' story? Cafferty's emotional complaints are aired in primetime on CNN. Will anyone report Sajak's more reasoned approach? I'm not holding my breath.

Pat Sajack........don't pat Pat about saying jack yet
November 28, 2007 - 17:34 ET by Lame CherryHere am I honestly surprised to agree with Pat Sajack as I remember his late night show and in interview with none other than that wondeful American, Chuck Norris.
Norris was just chatting and somehow the conversation got onto Phil Donahue at which Chuck got this rolling eyed grin on his face.
Norris went on to explain he had been invited on Donahue's show under the pretense of discussing his movies when BAM out of the blue the first audience member, a ranting future Oprahite, rose screaming about Norris and violent movies were getting people murdered.
Norris just said to himself, "Oh no".........and sat there picked on by nuts Donahue had set up for an hour.
Sajack at that point said, "Oh I like Phil Donahue as I have met him."
That is why once a good Bono comment here is not a lifetime of clear thought. So when Pat Sajack uses his broom again on Letterman being a female donkey's hind end and goes up the food chain pointing out what liars 99% of the MSM are.........then bring him back..........or instead someone should feature a Ron Silver blog as his have been absolutely outstanding.
Silver had liberals chanting at him on the West Wing belitting him. That is newsbuster news too.
