Okay, notwithstanding all the points about partisan media and what a nutty thing it was to say, what about her point?

Shouldn't someone in the media (Lord knows the Dims won't do it) ask, "Gee, why is the Republican Party seen by the American people as being more capable in terms of national defense?"

Richard, this goes way back to 2000.  That is what it has always been about.  'Stolen' elections.  The Dems finally reaching break point and literally hollering on the Senate floor (Ted Kennedy during Judge Confirmations).  The spoiled rotten attitudes of the 'entitled'.  Listen to ALL of their members and hear the phrase "Take Back" as if it was unjustly pried from their hands.  I am SICK of this near violent partisanship that has hijacked our system.  They (dems) are one step away from armed mob status.  This country is in SERIOUS trouble if they don't stop fanning the partisan flames.  Hillary should be disowned by the Democrats for even suggesting such a thing.  However, today's democrat party is not the same it was.  It was once sensible, relevant, and was actually PROGRESSIVE.  Now, it is nothing but the 'other' party that is loud, angry, and violent.  It's very sad that they can play politics with the way we are being kept safe. 

Hillary Rodham Clinton, You owe an apology to every single person who lost a friend or family member in any of the attacks on our country.  Not just Spetember 11th either.  True, Patriotic Americans remember all the other attacks that occurred on your husbands watch whilst doing NOTHING about them.  Did the Republicans accuse your husband of playing politics with those attacks that he did NOTHING about?  No.  He bombed an asprin factory.  I wonder what INTELLIGENCE he used to do that?  You are the biggest phony of all time, and do not deserve to be where you are right now.  What qualifies you to be a Senator?  What qualifies you to be POTUS?  Absolutely NOTHING!  You rode the coat tails of your husband to power.  Fortunately for you, the uneducated liberal masses (your presidential stepping stones)accepted your complete lack of experience and elected you based on who you ASSOCIATED with.  Everything you do is calculated, planned etc to be a gain for YOU.  You couldn't even hold it in when you were first lady.  How many times did you say "We have a job to do"?  When it was really only Bill who had a job to do? 

Only one good thing can come of your potential presidency.  The complete shock that will consume every American when their country begins crumbling around them, and is reminded why people need to have experience and will to be POTUS.  I am insulted that you even think you are qualified.  Do you think this is some kind of Joke?  Some kind of social status?  Eveidently.  You are the WORST person to be considered for the POTUS.  Don't let your conscience stop you from damaging the Country you live in.  I hate you

   This is sad to say but maybe she was not just talking to the American public.  The leadership of Al Qaeda is also watching closely our political process.  We've all noted how some of the videos they have released sounded like they were repeating democrat talking points. 

  We haven't had a major attack since 9-11 and that is partly because we have that 'go it alone if I have to cowboy' in the Whitehouse.  The type of person who replaces him will detemine the actions of our enemies.

She's a Clinton first and of course she would blame/criticize the Bush administration.  Just wait untill '08.  I believe the Dems will go down because people will finally realize that they are not leaders, they are children in a sandbox.

Just one more reason why I hope Hillary is the democrat nominee for President. As long as we don't nominate someone who is completely unelectable, we will have a Republican in the White House in 2009 if she is the opponent.

It's the first thing that I've heard Hillary say that I agree with.

Let's take a look at possible scenarios if a terrorist attack occurs before the election.

If such an attack occurs, Hillary, the rest of the obstructionist Democrats, and the news media would all be screaming that the intelligence agencies didn't do their jobs, and it's Bush's responsibility.

No one will mention that the above groups opposed legislation that would make it possible or easier for the intelligence organs to collect information about possible terrorist attacks.  Not one of them will mention how treasonous rags such as the New York Times published information on methods of intelligence gathering so that terrorist groups could evade detection (NSA listening) and foreign governments withheld cooperation (SWIFT program).

So, the outcome would be one of two things: either the sheeple would buy into this drivel and vote Democrat because "the Republicans failed to keep us safe", or enough people would wake up to the fact that it has been the left who has prevented the grown-ups in Congress from keeping us safe.  If the second happened, then they would vote Republican, and yes, a terrorist attack would have helped the Republicans.

One of the things that might work against Republicans would be Bush, McCain, Kyl, Graham, et al in the Republican party refusing to secure our borders and refusing to enforce immigration laws.
