Since Big Ed knows he will be splitting the MSNBC scene, he might as well throw caution to the end. No need to perform a humiliating reversal as he did a few months ago from being a strong Keystone pipeline supporter to opposing it in order to save a job that is pretty much lost already. Therefore there was no real risk for Schultz to go against sacred liberal dogma and come out in opposition this week to President Obama picking up his phone and pen to unilaterally grant amnesty to allow illegals to remain in this country without fear of deportation.
The Associated Press reports White House officials are making plans to act on immigration before the midterm. Executive orders from the president could grant work permits to potentially millions of illegal immigrants in the United States. The move would allow them to stay without the threat of deportation. Hold the phone! This would be a mistake if the president were to do this. Politically there is no way democrats can go home and campaign all across the board and the state for millions of undocumented workers.
I don't think that's a political winner for the Democrats. There has to be uniformity. There has to be some process and I think handing out permits for your workers to compete against legal workers in America is a bad idea.
Big Ed already seems to be making plans for his post-MSNBC career as you can see in the video he posted just yesterday plugging his Big Eddie's North Country Lodge up in Canada. Such a bargain at only $3500 per person for three days of fishing at Big Eddie's. Sorry, there are currently no coupons available for this deal.
