Chris Matthews Whines About Sun Harming Obama's Berlin Speech

Is the sun racist?

Perhaps that isn't such an absurd question when using the logic of Chris Matthews in which almost all forms of opposition to Barack Obama can be attributed to racism. And since the setting sun almost ruined Obama's speech in Berlin by making it impossible to read his teleprompter, thus making it difficult for him to finish his speech, could old Sol be a closet racist?

Here is the video of a freelancing Matthews whining against the sun for ruining what could have been Obama's shining moment:

I think a lot of the problem he had today was the late afternoon sun in Berlin ruined his use of the teleprompter and so his usual dramatic windup was ruined. I think he was really struggling with the text there.

It's a good thing that the angle of the sun was just right for Ronald Reagan when he gave his famous Berlin Wall speech or it might have sounded like "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this, um, uh, ball?"

Teleprompters weren't used by John F. Kennedy but the former president could have been undone by a gust of wind that could have blown away his speech with this result: "Ich bin ein, um...uh, burlapper?"

This just illustrates the hazards of relying almost completely upon teleprompters by a president who even uses them to speak to school children.
