Planned Parenthood Reports Half-Billion in Government Aid

By Penny Starr | January 04, 2012 | 07:51

A  A

According to its latest annual report, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) received $487.4 million in tax dollars over a twelve-month period and performed 329,455 abortions.

The latest annual report covers the period from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010, the PPFA’s fiscal year. The report states that the organization received “government health services grants and reimbursements” totaling $487.4 million.

Previous Planned Parenthood annual reports showed total funding from “government grants and contracts” (which were $363.2 million in 2009), while this year’s report also accounts for payments from Medicaid managed care plans among the payments the group receives from government .

When compared with previous annual reports, the latest one shows an almost steady increase in the number of abortions performed at its clinics: In 2006, Planned Parenthood did 289,750 abortions; in 2007, it did 305,310; in 2009, it did 331,796; and, in 2010, it did 329,445--a small decrease from the previous year.

birth control by abortion

Submitted by tradalaskan on Wed, 01/04/2012 - 4:19pm.

I was asked if I support a womans right to chose. I suppose. She has to live with it. My question was do you support birth control by abortion. Because call it what you want, when a couple gets blasted and chooses to have sex and the result is an unwanted pregnancy and they choose to kill the unborn child; that my friends is "birth control by abortion".

How much did Rick Santorum contribute to that slaughter?

Submitted by lrgon on Wed, 01/04/2012 - 8:00pm.

Santorum's votes to fund indirectly (through title X family planning) abortion provider Planned Parenthood clinics makes him a partner in crime of the ungodly murder of the innocent unborn.

"Mr.Pro-life" voted to have innocent Americans placed into the PP vegi-matic laboratories and enthusiatically campaigned for pro abortion Arlen Specter against the more conservative Pat Toomey.

Rand Paul has already begun vetting this cafeteria Catholic. Rick may mistakenly believe that his votes to indirectly fund Planned Parenthood can be hidden from Christians that march for life. He may get away with marching for Arlen but Ron Paul is bound to expose his hypocrisy on prolife at the next debate.

Santorum uses babies for his own political career. That Rick, is a real anti-God "indecency!"
