Hollywood Promoting Women Behaving Badly
Hollywood seems to delight in depicting women as sex-starved creatures in its movies - and another new movie reflects that trend. Meanwhile, one young starlet is embracing the raunch off-screen.
Actress and singer Miley Cyrus, who famously played the wholesome Hannah Montana, has become the epitome of the anti-role model for young girls. As reported by TMZ, Miley Cyrus gave her boyfriend a penis-shaped cake for his birthday, then posed for beyond-suggestive pictures with it.
As CMI has previously detailed, crude behavior is routine for young teen stars such as Lindsey Lohan and others, Cyrus herself has alluded to smoking marijuana and being a "stoner."
But, given the sleaze of so much of what Hollywood produces, such behavior is unsurprising.
"Bachelorette" is the latest movie to push the envelope in sexual themes. The Huffington Post reported that the comedy, which stars Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan, and Ilsa Fisher, is "an unapologetic look at look at a sex-filled pre-wedding weekend." The same article also declared of the film: "It's also one of a number of new films in a growing wave of flicks that feature women catching up to men in the raunch and realism departments."
The piece also quoted actress Lizzy Caplan actually celebrating this trend: "People are just waking up to stuff that I think we knew all along, so thank god for that,"Caplan said, referring to the ability to produce - and market - quality female comedies that feature more debauchery than romance."
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Caplan continued to gush about her raunch-filled role: "I was so pleased to read a script with multiple parts that I would want to play, as opposed to a script that almost goes as far as this one does. You just don't ever read stuff like this for girls, it's always boys that get to be these characters.
Why actresses such as Caplan would want to take on roles making women look like bimbos is a mystery. But rampant sexual behavior in Hollywood films is increasing. The Culture and Media Institute has documented how Hollywood films such as "No Strings Attached" and "Hall Pass" have dialed up the sex factor in recent years.
But the consequences of the carefree attitude displayed by Hollywood concerning sex can be seen within their own ranks. Divorce and remarriage are rampant within Hollywood. Actor Corey Feldman alleged that he was sexually abused as a child actor, and that sexual abuse of minors is common in Hollywood. And prominent actresses like Megan Fox have warned that "casting couch" behavior - trading sex for the opportunity to take on acting gigs - is a common occurrence in Hollywood.
Movies like "Bachelorette" and disgusting behavior like Cyrus' may be part of the "real world" of Hollywood, where casual sex is celebrated and frequent divorce is almost a rite of passage. But it is not the real world, because in the real world, sleazy behavior has consequences.

It's because the writers are homosexual.

They write about their wildest sexual fantasies, and project their desires and behavior onto the female characters in their scripts, imagining all the while, "Oooooooo, if only I were a real girl, here is what I'd do to some hot guy!!"
The bimbos who are Hollywood film star trash don't have much of a brain to begin with, so they think that the script is how girls are supposed to act, so away we go.
We have dumb broads acting like what flaming gay men wish they could really be!
As for Miley, she's just another ho in training waiting for a train wreck. Way to go Billy Ray.

There's so much wrong with that.
First off, this and Bridesmaids (the 2 films that are being hailed as groundbreaking for women comedians) were both written by women. In fact, many comedies with a strong female presence are written by women. So your absurd "homesexual writers" conspiracy is as goofy as it is offensive.
Secondly, these aren't bimbos who are acting like how they think these movies want them to be (...well, I can't speak for Miley). They're comedians who are writing movies for other female comedians-allowing them the mobility to act more broadly than films often allow them to act.
I loved Bridesmaids-it was great to see physical comedy done by women-a style of comedy that is usually dominated by men.
Anyway, yes, these are films about women behaving badly. But Men have been behaving badly in comedies for decades-why can't women be given the same shake? Animal House, Caddyshack, Revenge of the Nerds? It's ok for guys to do that, but women can't?
If you hate those movies, then most comedies just aren't for you and that's totally cool. Its not required that you like all movies-but don't condemn them for continuing a tradition that's been going strong for decades.

is all about the hatred and contempt for women. No wonder these shows put women in a bad light. But at the same time, the women appearing in them are not doing women's causes or image any good.
I guess you just ignored my

I guess you just ignored my comment above-but these films were not written by gay men-but instead the female comedians starring in them.
And you clearly have never met a single gay man (or even seen a movie or tv show featuring a gay character) if you think all of homosexuality (disregarding the lesbians, of course) is about "hatred and contempt for women".
Aside from the needless trash

Aside from the needless trash in Hollywood, why would a guy want a penis shaped cake in the first place?

is a slogan that adorns feminist car bumpers. It's cute and assertive and also wrong.
The Virgin Mary was on the cover of left wing publications like Time Magazine upteen times. She made covers of major US journals like Saturday Evening Post, Life Magazine despite her well-behaved ways. The mother of Jesus was the epitome of the exact opposite of the feminist role model. She is the most well known woman of all time.
Joan of Arc was so well-behaved that she obeyed God's commands despite an entire government ridiculing and persecuting her.
England's Queen Victoria became synonymous with strict standards of personal morality. Her brillance was to quietly influence parliament to do away with petty bureaucratic regulations that were strangling the market. Her success in ending a great deal of bureaucracy led to England becoming an industrial powerhouse.
"Her reign of 63 years and 7 months, which is longer than that of any other British monarch and the longest of any female monarch in history, is known as the Victorian era," says Wikipedia.
Mother Terresa made it her life's work to help the "poorest of the poor" in places like Calcutta, India. Although a Catholic, Teresa's hospice was not one for conversion to Christianity ( although it was that in spirit!) but a place for Muslims to be read the Quran, Hindus to receive water from the Ganges, and Catholics to receive the Last Rites.
"A beautiful death," she said, "is for people who lived like animals to die like angels—loved and wanted."
Miley Cyrus' has set a terrible example as have so many other Hollywood starlets.
Old Hollywood with its conservative ways died with John Wayne, Grace Kelly and the movie greats like Robert Taylor.
Great movie directors like Cecil B.Demille spoke of God with the highest respect:

Demille: "The theme of this picture is whether man ought to be ruled by God's law or the whims of a dictator... Are men the property of the state or are they free souls under God?"

Miley Cyrus is headed straight for the Lindsay Lohan life. I really hope her father helps her get off that road.

One of Sean Hannity's favorite Freedom Tour singers and good friend, both professionally and politically, is Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley's father. He is supposed to be a staunch conservative. How in the world could this be happening? Most public bratty kids are the products of lousy parenting. While Billy Ray Cyrus may have lived in a relatively posh Hollywood-ized world, why didn't he do his damnedest to ensure his daughter was brought up with some values?
I realize that it's not always the blame of the parents. Ron Reagan is probably the poster child of kids gone bad of great people. But this behavior is not indicative of a political difference, but of a severe moral crisis.
