Reminds me of the news story how farmed fish have higher amounts of mercury in them than fish raised in nature.  It turns out that you would have to eat like 10 tons of fish per week for it to harm you.

I borrowed a geiger counter from a relative to go over my entire house and found that our granite countertops was the only place higher than background radiation levels. But the levels were still so low it would take 100,000 years of me pressing my face into the granite to cause health worries.

This story really has me laughing my head off. For over a decade, the "kitchen designers" have pushed granite counter-tops on us, as a way to up their income. Who in their right mind would want rock hard counters in their kitchen, which is full of highly breakable things!

If I knock a piece of Waterford over on my Formica counter-top (with wood underneath), at least it has a good chance of surviving. Knock Waterford over on Russian granite and you're out $150 for openers. Not to mention how hard the stuff is to maintain, which is even more interesting, huh. It's rock.

and you will be shocked at the natural radioactivity coming from the brick.  amazingly, i have not heard of anyone dying from radiation exposure by living in a brick house.  this granite crap is the same thing.  while conservatives are tackling the difficult problems, liberals make up problems then sensationalize them.  oh yeah, hollywood sucks.

Yet another dreary example of how liberals will snatch at anything as a means of scaring you, or luring you, or deceiving you into a situation all so that they can then control you, tax you, regulate you, and generally lord it over you.

I would be slightly impressed, however, if a liberal, any liberal – though Nancy Pelosi would be a particularly convincing specimen – stepped forward and claimed that it was on account of his/her granite counter tops that his /her brain became addled causing him/her to becoming a liberal.

At heart liberals are a lot like Chicken Little. I realize that this is insulting to Chicken Little, and injurious to his feelings, and insensitive of his sensitivities; but nevertheless I can steadfastly stand by this claim because my lawyers assure me that his lawyers simply do not have a case for suing me.
