Comcast is about to fulfill all the spiritual yearnings of you Barack Obama acolytes by broadcasting all Obama all the time leading into the inauguration so you won't have a minute of your day or night alone without The One as reported by Michael Calderone at Politico:
Do you need Obama coverage 24 hours a day? In several markets, Comcast cable is launching an all-Obama, On Demand channel. (In D.C., it's channel 963).
Story Continues Below Ad ↓Leading up to Inauguration, the channel will offer a number of Obama-related programs, according to a release: "Barack Obama’s most famous speeches to date, from his keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in 2004 through his election night victory speech in Grant Park; Barack Obama biography; Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic National Convention speech; a tour of the White House; and the history of Air Force One."
One wonders if the Rod Blagojevich wiretap tapes will be included in the broadcasts. But what to do after the inauguration? Don't worry, Obama fans. There is another adulatory Obama channel already operating called MSNBC where you can always get that thrill running up your leg at the mere mention of His name. From Chris to Keith to Rachel, MSNBC will never let you down in the Obama worship department.
For the more heretical of us, there are these skeptical remarks from the "unenlightened" commenters at the Politico site:

I think it will mainly be his speeches. Considering how much we DON'T know about him it would be very difficult to put together a biography.
How can they discuss his being born in Hawaii when we are not 100% sure that was where he was born?
They will also have to skip over his schooling, we have no records of how well he did in school. Where is his college thesis? What kind of grades did he receive?
His Columbia years? What was he doing? Will this biography reveal how he traveled to Pakistan when from what I understand a US citizen was not permitted to?
Will the biography disclose how he got into Harvard? Be kinda hard without those grades to prove he did not get in due to Affirmative Action.
His time in Chicago? How did he log the LEAST amount of hours as a newbie lawyer in a law firm? Whatever was he doing all that time?
His time in the Chicago legislature? Hey look, all those records are missing, guess the biography will have to skip over those years.
I could go on and on about what we don't know about him, now THAT would make for interesting television. Get an investigative reporter and a film crew to look into those parts of Bambi's life that has been kept from us. I'm sure there is enough in there for a new 1 hour episode to run every week for the next 4 years.

You cannot worship a president and his government if you wish to remain free. That would give one man too much power. He would need more character and restraint than a mere human possesses to resist abuse.

If it passes and is signed (and it's right up Obama's alley), it will make it unlawful to own any firearm with a removable magazine without the owner submitting mental health records, photo, fingerprints, forms, etc. to the federal government. Even if a paired down version passes, it's major anti-firearm legislation... and it, or something like it will likely pass.
This Obama worship is funny until real actions start to parallel other charismatic leaders with full press support. And eliminating the peoples ability to defend themselves is always the first thing that happens after that support is broad enough to ensure that nay-sayers are ridiculed.

That's what Dish Network said at the time, and when pressed, they said the McCain camp never approached them for a similar channel on their system, despite the fact that Echostar/Dish Network CEO Charlie Ergen supported McCain's campaign.
