The targeted torpedoing of Sarah Palin was outrageous.

Yeah, right. It's pretty obviously that the Obama and Biden gaffes were the product of long hours on the campaign trail rather than deficiencies in education or experience. By contrast, there is abundant evidence that Palin is genuinely ignorant of the world outside of Alaska. NewsBusters' repeated efforts to explain away her deficiencies are potent examples of how ideological enthusiasm can trump sober analysis. Not a positive trait for people who want to avoid additional humiliating electoral defeats.

Either way, John McCain needed to address this sooner.  She was the only breath of fresh air in a Hold Your Nose And Vote the party line Presidential Candidate.

If this guy's a fraud, then I have the following troubling observations:

• Only one person on the McCain team got upset with these allegations, and lashed out -- that was Palin. Where was McCain, and why didn't he come to her defense 2 minutes after the allegations -- that he knew were false???

• Why did Carl Cameron and Fox News so despartely want to believe this story?

• Fox News has the most balanced view of Palin -- why did they suddenly believe the worst sort of lies about her, when the story was so much out of character?

I want Palin to run like Sherman in 2012. Don't stop for rinos in the road; take no Dim prisoners; and "burn, baby, burn" everyone like a laser beam in the msm.

I feel like I can now speak freely about this as well.I have had it with the McCain campaign. They have allowed her to be vilified without a peep by McCain himself coming to her defense. I wasn't a huge supporter of McCain but was scared witless with the alternative. For the past six months I have worked diligently with the Lawyers for McCain crew here in Ohio. I can't even begin to tell you how disorganized they were. There was lots of griping w/no one willing to step up to the plate to admit things were had just gone awry and to sort out this mess. So stories like this do not surprise me in the least.It was a nightmare of epic proportions working for and with them.

      Meanwhile, John McCain can go on Leno this week, and look stupid for a few laughs. Sarah Palin won over the people that count, and will only get better and more successfull. Her Dad being a Coach and Teacher, you had to know that geography stuff that was put out about Africa.....never sounded right. The part about this leaker joining McClellan in the city stocks....I wish I would have said that first.

I never believed that these stories came from anyone in the campaign.  Everything about them said "hoax", just like the other 52 anti-Palin internet stories that got circulated.  Stories about her daughters, stories about her wardrobe, stories about her political past, etc.  Hoax after hoax after hoax.  Factcheck.org only documented about a quarter or less of the hoaxes that were out there.

I never expected this to be any different.

If this Eisenstadt guy is the same guy lefty mag Mother Jones had tagged as a fraud back in July, and he is telling the truth about being Cameron's source, it means Carl bought the word of a con man ... and it means McCain HIRED a con man

It may mean that the leaker wasn't actually on the McCain campaign and Cameron didn't vet his source.

The reality is:

Palin is more like, "one of us" than "one of them". 

The entire Democratic propaganda machine is held up by a one-legged stool that depends on portraying the Republicans as a bunch of "them rich, old, white guys". 

Forget the reality of Bush fielding not just one, but two African Americans to the highest appointed office in this nation. Remember that Colin was an "uncle tom" and a "house n-word" right up until the moment that he endorsed Obama. 

Forget the reality of Obama fundraising, behind closed doors on Billionaire's Row in San Francisco (where the famous religion and guns quote got leaked out of). Forget the reality of Obama being the first presidential candidate to eschew the finance limits of the public campaign system, and going on to raise the most enormous sums of money ever recorded in a presidential campaign. Face it, the Democrats are ALL about rich old white guys. 

Palin scares the piss out of the Democrats because she shatters the carefully crafted, media-complicit image of "us and them." They must destroy her with all due speed and by any means necessary.

With advisors like this, no wonder McCain blew the election.

So I wonder if comrade Eisenstadt was paid by comrade Obama?

Gee whizz, people using the internet to create false identities and spread deliberately misleading hoaxes about public figures, imagine that! Knock me over with a feather. I am so surprised to find out that people actually use the internet to spread fraudulent stories and create disharmony within the ranks of a political organization. This is the same internet generation that Algore is hoping will save the planet while just by chance making him a millionaire several times over on the side.

One person above got it right: If this entity did pull the wool over the eyes of the McCain staff that can only mean that they sort of wanted to hear about it from someone and didn't bother checking the facts before jumping to conclusions & helping to perpetuate these slimejobs. If so they are bigger suckers than even the election margins would suggest and deserve what they have coming to them for playing along with a scam so enthusiastically. Can we humiliate ourselves a little more here on our own or do we really need anonymous plants using the internet to do it for us?

Since the job market is going to hell in handbasket and I actually want to go back to work after 10 years of raising kids I'm unemployed. But this story has given me an idea. I'm going to start making up news and sell it to the networks. The people running those places are so stupid I should be making a six-figure salary in no time. In fact, I think I'll even write the stories ahead of time. Here's one for just after the inagural. Dateline - New Obama City - The coronation of Lord Obama makes him America's first official king. In his acceptance speech King Obama said, "George Washington was an idiot for not wanting the title king. It is so cool, and the babes love it. I'm getting Bill to show me all those secret passages to sneak some babes into the Oval Office." He went on to say that he and Queen Michele support family values and a dog in every home. That's worth what a couple of thousand and invite to be on The View?

Unless of course, the whole thing was a hoax of montrous size aimed at showing the media to be a bunch of non-investigating jerks who will run with any ludicrous story WITHOUT CHECKING because it confirms what they secretly believe.

Of course, it damages Palin to some extent because people will end up believing the lies are actual fact.s.

Unfortunately, this is now ingrained in people's minds she is a dim-witted bulb, thanks to people like this clown who help perpetrate this hoax on her.  

Of course, the major news outlets won't even breathe a word of this to anyone or if they do, it will be a minor story buried on page A-5 in small type or a brief, "Sorry Sarah, we goofed" faux apology.  Since The Washington Post  just admitted they were in the tank for Obama this past weekend, the least they could do is run a page A-1 story acknowledging how wrong they were about her, but I won't hold my breath.  

I don't even know the difference between Hamas and Hezbollah, nor do I know who the  terrorists group in Spain are, but I do know FDR wasn't president in 1929.

I saw Palin last night on Fox News with Greta and thought she was wonderful.  I would vote for her in a second again.  The only reason she scares Democrats is she has an appeal they don't have: to decent, honest, hard working Americans who aren't looking for a handout.
