"I don't know who's writing your questions."
Those were two of the angry responses by Joe Biden to a couple of tough questions posed by Barbara West on Orlando's WFTV (must-see video embedded right).
You can get an idea of just how upset Biden was by reading the title of of this account of the heated interview: "Obama campaign cuts off WFTV after interview with Joe Biden."
Here are the observations of what happened from the Orlando Sentinel blog of Hal Boedeker the TV Guy:
WFTV-Channel 9's Barbara West conducted a satellite interview with Sen. Joe Biden on Thursday. A friend says it's some of the best entertainment he's seen recently. What do you think?
West wondered about Sen. Barack Obama's comment, to Joe the Plumber, about spreading the wealth. She quoted Karl Marx and asked how Obama isn't being a Marxist with the "spreading the wealth" comment.
"Are you joking?" said Biden, who is Obama's running mate. "No," West said.
West later asked Biden about his comments that Obama could be tested early on as president. She wondered if the Delaware senator was saying America's days as the world's leading power were over.
"I don't know who's writing your questions," Biden shot back.
Biden so disliked West's line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate's wife.
"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.
McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was "a result of her husband's experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West."

WFTV news director Bob Jordan said, "When you get a shot to ask these candidates, you want to make the most of it. They usually give you five minutes."
Jordan said political campaigns in general pick and choose the stations they like. And stations often pose softball questions during the satellite interviews.
"Mr. Biden didn't like the questions," Jordan said. "We choose not to ask softball questions."
Jordan added, "I'm crying foul on this one."
Hal Boedeker also cited how upset the Obama campaign was with an interviewer who finally asked tough questions of a Democrat candidate in another blog posting:

The campaign cited "an unprofessional interview" that WFTV's Barbara West conducted with Joe Biden on Thursday. WFTV news director Bob Jordan has defended the interview as hard-hitting and unlike many satellite interviews where softball questions are posed.
In a statement Friday afternoon, Adrianne Marsh, Florida spokeswoman for Obama's campaign, said the station, in talking with Sen. Biden, was "both combative and woefully uninformed about simple facts."
Marsh said West's insistence that Obama was an organizer for ACORN was "100 percent false." "In a line of questioning that would make Rush Limbaugh proud, West even went as far as to quote Karl Marx, a Communist icon, in a disturbing attempt to associate Barack Obama with socialism," Marsh wrote.
"There's nothing wrong with tough questions, but reporters have the very important job of sharing the truth with the public -- not misleading the American people with false information," Marsh added. "Senator Biden handled the interview well; however, the anchor was completely unprofessional. Senator Biden's wife is not running for elected office, and there are many other stations in the Orlando television market that would gladly conduct a respectful and factual interview with her."
So now the Obama campaign is upset over tough questions that are routinely asked of Republican candidates. To get an idea of just how upset Joe Biden was over not being asked the usual softball questions gently tossed to him by the mainstream media, check out the video of the heated interview.

Unfortunately, Senator McCain and Governor Palin have had to sit through that type of intense interview over and over and over.

It's actually pretty simple, in a later interview, ask the question and when he says, "that's a fact" than interject, "Well Senator, we did some research on that and it's not a fact, it's your opinion." and go on to explain the results of your research. The point is the MSM isn't doing any research. All of these people have seen Joe answer questions with that line. If that were Sarah Palin they would assume it's a lie and do the research and hit her with it, before the day is out.
Right now, the MSM wants us to go to the polls not knowing who we're voting for because, if we knew, we would never vote for them. If the MSM had vetted Obama, he wouldn't even be in the race.

Newsbusters has pointed out countless times how the MSM has punted on all questions that might illuminate who Obama is and what his policies and decisions might actually mean to America...I think Biden was taken back not by the "tough" question, but how on Earth it was able to slip through the media crack and make it all the way to the Air.

What has the MSM said about Murtha, Mahoney, Dodd, Jefferson, Frank, et al? To me, since I read alternative sources, I know what's going on. If you only watch the MSM, you don't have a clue what is significant about this group, since the MSM never goes after the Democrats.
I'm sure the framers thought there would be a partisan press. I doubt they ever figured that, those controlling the media, would all band together and support one political party, to the exclusion of the other one. Right now, Fox News has been much fairer to Democrats than any of the other, and I mean any of the others, have been to Republicans. I would hope that enough people are noticing this so, when the time comes, the MSM will have to do some explaining, either because McCain wins the election, or Obama wins and everything the MSM swept under the rug, starts coming out with a vigor.

The best way to combat and reverse the 37-year ACORN subversion is with conservative Christian Precinct Committee Officers (PCO's) ministering to their precincts as mission areas. The PCO's should be wise as serpents and gentle as doves, and not discuss religion. You don't need anyone's approval to do this. Just get a map of your precinct and get to work. Churches should encourage this but should not get directly involved. That is not so much a punishment to WFTV and Barbara West as it is a warning to the rest of the media - either stay in line or get cut off.
There was nothing out of line about West's question; Obama made a statement that sounded eerily similar to a famous quote by an historical figure, and she asked Biden about it. Actually listening to what people say and forming follow-up questions around their words is what they taught us in journalism school that we're supposed to do!
What would've been funny would've been if Biden had said, "Excuse me, Ms. West, but could we stick to the questions my office faxed to you earlier this afternoon?" because that's clearly what he was expecting...

Speaking of lines, there are none on his face, his forehead doesn't move, and his right eye has a distinct slant indicative of a bad lift. He has more botox than Cher. That, along with his plugs and caps, lead me to label him shallower than the puddles on my patio after I've watered my orchids.
Finally, note the take of the questions from a local station in CENTRAL FLORIDA. Now tell me again how Obama is running ahead in the I-4 corridor? That area of the state is solidly red.
Not so much here, though....a local radio station was offering a bounty for stolen McCain signs, nice, huh?

I justed wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Florida. My wife and kids just got back after 16 days there (I'm from Vancouver Canada). My kids are 11 and 9 so our entire time was spent in disneyworld and the Orlando area. Coming from the west coast most of my "sun" vacations have been to Hawaii, California or Vegas. This was my first time in Florida but I'll definitely be back. There were so many things I never found time to do. The weather was just perfect and so was the hospitality. Truly a blessed little corner of the world.

That was one of my favorite trips, ever....we just drove around and stopped whenever the spirit moved us. WWII bright red water bombers! Fishing in Campbell River. Pacific Rim Park was awesome. Fabulous state parks (we could take lessons on the care of parks from you all), salmon runs, and a bear! We even thought of moving to Vancouver after that trip.

Well, technically he may be right - but it's a sales job. From 1993 to 2000 the top 1%'s income rose from 13.79% to 20.81% (almost 21%) of all the income. Enter Bush. By 2003, the top 1%'s share had dropped to 16.77%. Latest data I have does show that by 2006, it's up to 22.06%.
So under Clinton, this horrible thing increased by a large amount; while under Bush it's managed in 7 years to pop up a point.
Anyone want to look at how CEO's vs. worker bees faired under Bush compared to Clinton? Once again look closely at the chart - where is the anger at the Clinton years - and the celebration of the end of the Clinton years?:
Note: the last data year in the chart is 2005. The ratio for 2007 has continued to drop to 344. And something tells me it will have dropped further in 2008 - just a sneaking suspicion.

who would like about the circumstances of his wife and daughter's tragic deaths. when the only thing to be gained is some sort of political sympathy and the chance that you might not be fully vetted because of said sympathy......folks that is a dangerous man. because if that incident is not of limits for him to lie about, then nothing is. i do so declare him a liar of pathological proportions beyond any i have ever seen....besides maybe OJ.

Very telling. So, in Biden's warped view, letting people keep money that was already their's is spreading the wealth around, or a giveaway, since that's how he and his clueless running mate have characterized it. They don't believe it ever belongs the person who earned it, they believe all money belongs to government, and any money they"generously" let you keep is given to you by the government, lol.
Hate is a strong word, but I really, really hate liberals.
