'The Simpsons' to Allege Republican Vote Stealing Two Days Before Election

Your humble correspondent realizes that a lot of celebrities are in the tank for Barack Obama but he is especially disappointed to learn that Homer Simpson appears to be numbered among them. The November 2 (just two days before the election) episode of the Simpsons will include this clip of Homer casting his vote for John McCain then changing his mind and attempting to vote for Barack Obama numerous times to no avail. Each Obama vote that Homer casts is registered as another vote for McCain. When Homer finally accuses the voting machine of being rigged...well, you'll have to see his fate in the video. The video itself is actually pretty funny as you can see and it might end up helping McCain since it will cause extreme leftwing paranoia should the race be tight by election day. That could be very counterproductive for the Democrats since the voting public could be turned off by their paranoid antics. Doh!

Yes, Homer Simpson, despite the message, is quite amusing in this episode. Less amusing, however, is the attitude of "The Simpson's" producer that it is somehow only Republicans engaging in vote fraud when the Democrats perpetrate such activity on a mass scale. Here is a report on this episode by the TV Guy in the Orlando Sentinel:

Homer Simpson a Barack Obama supporter?

Yes, it's true.

"He says it's time for change. He's going to vote Obama," executive producer Al Jean says.

But it's the annual "Treehouse of Horror" episode of "The Simpsons," and the machine repeatedly gives Homer's vote to John McCain. Finally, the voting machine tries to kill Homer.

The short skit is not an Obama endorsement, but a commentary on irregularities in the voting system, Jean says. The episode will air Nov. 2 on Fox, two days before the election.

"The Simpsons" starts its 20th season this weekend. Jean also says the cast has been signed for four more years, including the coming one.

I guess Al Jean never heard of Obama's own ACORN organization whose specialty is vote fraud on a mass scale. So let us overlook all the evidence of vote fraud by Democrats and lay the blame on Republicans as Jean has done in this Simpsons episode. Oh, and one more beef I have with Al Jean from the same report:

Jean worked on the Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios in Orlando. "I thought it exceeded what I hoped for," he says. "The ride is fantastic." He's especially proud of the way the show's writers paid attention to detail with little references.

Yeah, the plunges on that Simpsons Ride are so realistic that I came close to losing a couple of cheeseburgers while riding it last July. Anyway, great job on the ride Al, and I do wished you had paid more attention to the detail of mass Democrat vote fraud in that November 2 Simpsons episode.

Glad to see you tying this to ACORN, something the MSM would never do. I will never understand why Palin's daughter's pregnancy was front page news but Obama connections to ACORN, Ayers, etc is swept aside so quickly as "guilt by association".

DOH!

This is not good, they've gotten to Homer.

I am a Simpsons fan, have been all my life,
but I honestly don’t see what would provoke the creators to do such a thing.

I think this may be a parody of the 2004
electronic voting machines, but at the same time they were insinuating that the
machines were programmed for McCain, when all of us know thats far from the
truth. This is something I’m worried about, no one knows how powerful Obama and
his 'Campaign Machine' are, I hope this doesn’t play out in real life or we're
in big trouble. It wouldn’t surprise me though, with the truth squads silencing
anything anti Obomb & the MSM doing everything possible to elect this nobody.

I bet Ned Flanders is voting McCain!

I will give the Simpsons this though. Here is a quote I love:

Bill Clinton: Thank you, Lisa, for teaching kids everywhere a valuable
lesson: If things don't go your way, just keep complaining until your dreams
come true.
Marge: That's a pretty lousy lesson.
Bill Clinton: Hey, I'm a pretty lousy president

What I can agree with is

What I can agree with is that Homer Simpson represents the mentality of a large group of uninformed people that will be voting for Obama.

Boy, Homer Simpson is in on

Boy, Homer Simpson is in on the anti-conservative bias, too? You guys can NOT catch a break.

Remember back when the Simpsons was hip, relevant, and funny?

I do. Those were the days.

Wait, this show is still on? Damn.

Jnoble, You must be excited and thrilled.........

... to be the 1st kid on the block (this topic on NB) to bring up the obligatory "no longer hip, relevant or funny". Another example: SNL which some commenters claim is irrelevant.  Yea, that's why NB keeps bringing SNL up several times every week.  It always amazes me how willing some NB commenters are to show how wrong and out of touch they are just to appeal to fellow NB.

As sure to follow as sunrise tomorrow*- a slew of comments along the lines of:

"The Simpsons have  never been funny. Mainly because of that little lib Lisa. "

"I use to think The Simpsons was funny but no longer will."

And of course the ever favorite:          "From now on I'm boycotting The Simpsons.  They'll be sorry for the day they were born."  (Hope that last sentence isn't too high over the heads of some NB that they miss that particular irony and silliness.)

*unless I've sufficently embarrased the predictable "followers" on NB.

Abe

Were used to your silly and inane remarks.Carry on.

Well, Well, well99,

I'm not going to stoop to cheap insults like "Some people aren't smart enough to know when they're embarrassing themselves." when you hand me a silly and inane remark  on a silver platter:

"Were used to your silly and inane remarks."

Abe

It is ok Abe  "Some people aren't smart enough to know when they're embarrassing themselves." We'll let you know.It is going to be a full time job though.

If we're to be nit-picking

If we're to be nit-picking over missed punctuation, I should probably point out the missing comma ("... insults like[,] "Some people ...") and erroneous first period (It should be another comma.) in your comment.  Of course, I'm not going to stoop to clichés like, "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."

Cortillaen, Thks for making my "job" on NB soooo easy & fun.

I consider that part of my "job" here at NB is to point out the ridiculousness, idiocy and wrongness of some NB comments.

There should be NO comma between "like" and "Some people..." . "like" leads right into "Some people..." and there should be NO break in the continuity of my sentence.   "and erroneous first period (It should be another comma."-   I have NO idea what you're referring to. No doubt you don't either since there is NO erroneous period in my "Well, Well, well99" comment!

We agree on one thing.I always been a big fan of theirs also. They had great music.

I might contend that your

I might contend that your "job" here is to make a fool of yourself, but you seem quite capable of making that point for me.  Let's first have the brief English lesson, then we can examine what new failures you present.

Quotation marks can indicate a number of things:  A dismissive attitude towards the included word or phrase (That "journalist" is biased.), an unofficial term or name (That's James "Jimbo" Wales.), that the included word is being identified or singled out for examination (I think "ignorance" is the better word.), or a quote/paraphrase.  In the last instance, a comma is needed preceding the quote.  While "like" is not a common word to precede a quote, the comma still needs to be there.  The complete sentence within your quotation marks is understood to be the quotation of something you considered typing but, in some attempt at ironic humor, claim to have discarded.  Thus, when inserted into another sentence, it should be preceded by a comma, something you failed to do.  In addition, if the quote is normally ended by a period, and the container sentence continues after the quote, that period should be replaced with a comma.  Contrary to your assertion that I am indubitably at least as ignorant as yourself, that was your erroneous first period.

Honestly, typing "no" in caps repeatedly does nothing to help you.  Still, if you want to come across as the sort of person who believes disagreements are won by the volume of your statements rather than their merit, go right ahead. By all means, "singe" up to post this sort of hypocrisy on as many "sights" as you like.  Just keep in mind that attacking careless punctuation errors will do naught but earn you similar treatment.  I'd suggest you stick to arguing over the meanings of posts rather than their syntax, but, on the other hand, you opened with a trollish post dedicated to deriding another poster and the entire NB community.  Maybe I'm just expecting too much.

hate to burst your bubble, but...

..I've been down on the Simpsons for years now. And for many reasons outside of politics.

Thanks for playing though.

Jnoble, You're not bursting my bubble. To the contrary....

.......You're playing right along.

You're comment: "I've been down on the Simpsons for years now. And for many reasons outside of politics." mixes all 3 of the predictable comments I mentioned.

Next up from Jnoble: " I haven't watched The Simpsons for years but I'm going to start boycotting them."

Oh yeah?

I'll have you know I havn't watched the Simpsons for years but I'm going to start boycotting them.

For ending on a classy note.

Thks for showing a NB can poke fun at themself.

Is it bad that Homer Simpson

Is it bad that Homer Simpson represents the Obama voter?

I will say this, from many of the things I've seen on The Simpsons in the past that on the surface appear to skew as anti-conservative. It is often so over the top that it is just as much making fun of both sides of the issue. Case in point: When they had a Fox News truck roll into town blasting "We are the champions" and donning Bush-Cheyney banners. Sure, libs probably said "Yeah," but I said "That's absurd, just like the people who think that's an accurate representation."

Liberal media!

One of my favorite scenes still is Homer Simpson channel surfing and every time FoxNews rolls by he shakes his fist and growls "liberal media! I hate them!"  He's then flipping between T&A on Fox and news on FoxNews "Whoo-hoo! ... Liberal media! ... Whoo-hoo! ... Liberal media! .... Whoo-hoo! ... Liberal media!"

With all the turmoil in the market today and the collapse of Lehman Bros and Acquisition of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America this might be some good advice. For all of you with any money left, be aware of the next expected mergers so that you can get in on the ground floor and make some big bucks. Watch for these consolidations in later this year:

1.) Hale Business Systems, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Fuller Brush, and W R. Grace Co. Will merge and become:
Hale, Mary, Fuller, Grace.

2.) Polygram Records, Warner Bros., and Zesta Crackers join forces and become:
Poly, Warner Cracker.

3.) 3M will merge with Goodyear and become:
MMMGood.

4. Zippo Manufacturing, Audi Motors, Dofasco, and Dakota Mining will merge and become:
ZipAudiDoDa .

5. FedEx is expected to join its competitor, UPS, and become:
FedUP.

6. Fairchild Electronics and Honeywell Computers will become:
Fairwell Honeychild.

7. Grey Poupon and Docker Pants are expected to become:
PouponPants.

8. Knotts Berry Farm and the National Organization of Women will become:
Knott NOW!

9. Victoria 's Secret and Smith & Wesson will merge under the new name:
TittyTittyBangBang

Sadly, Allegheny Airlines

Sadly, Allegheny Airlines changed their name to USAirways and Braniff went out of business, but if the were still around under their old names they could merge and become . . .

All-Bran - the world's most regular airline.

Did You Know The Simpsons Replaced The Back To The Future Ride?

I would go to Universal Studios every summer and the two rides I always looked forward to the most were the Back To The Future ride and the E.T. ride. Now they've both been replaced, first the E.T. ride by that lousy Mummy ride. Don't you think those Mummy movies are the most overrated movies ever? And now the Back To The Future Ride is gone. Does anyone have a DeLorean I can use to get back to 2002 when those rides were still in their prime?

The Simpsons Jumped The Sharked A Long Time Ago!

Hey 7sticks, gotta agree with you on the BTTF ride.  They still have it at the Orlando location.  I don't know, I like the Mummy ride and the movies.  Then again, I'm into ancient history and the Mummy movies were funny and had good FX, IMO.  Granted, the last one with Jet Li wasn't so good.

Remember The Simpsons episode where the aliens(forgot their names), the ones who always laughed alot, kidnapped Bob Dole and Bill Clinton in order to assume their identities and take over Springfield?  The aliens said whoever you vote for doesn't matter because we win.  Then a citizen said we'll vote for a 3rd party candidate.  Then the aliens replied, "Go ahead, throw away your vote. HAHAHA".

DOCUMENTED ELECTION FRAUD

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED

As Americans, we expect certain liberties and rights that were granted to us by our forefathers. WE THE PEOPLE expect that these fundamental rights will always be protected.

In the Democratic Primary, this was not the case. The DNC deprived voters of their choice of Hillary Clinton as Democratic nominee. Senator Clinton, by all accounts, except caucuses, won the Primary Election and, therefore, should be the 2008 Democratic Nominee.

That didn’t happen, due largely to illegitimate and illegal acts. We have many accounts from caucus states recounting threats, intimidation, lies, stolen documents, falsified documents, busing in voters in exchange for paying for “dinners, I-pods",etc.

There are at least 2000 complaints, in Texas alone, of irregularities directed towards the Obama Campaign.

This documentary is about the disenfranchising of Americans by the DNC and the Obama Campaign.

We the People have made this film. Democrats have sent in their stories from all parts of America.

We believe Obama's Chicago Machine of dirty politics encouraged and created an army to steal caucus packets, falsify documents, change results, allow unregistered people to vote, scare and intimidate Hillary supporters, stalk them, threaten them, lock them out of their polling places, silence their voices and stop their right to vote, which is all documented in WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED.

OBAMA-ACORN ELECTION FRAUD

Municipal clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent voter registration applications, most of them from a nationwide community activist group.

The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program.

ACORN''s Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees.

"There appears to be a sizeable number of fraudulent applications," said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State''s Office. "And it appears to be widespread."

Recently, ACORN''s voter registration programs have come under investigation with some employees convicted of voter fraud.

In Pontiac, where several thousand applications have been submitted by ACORN in the last few weeks for the November election, the clerk''s office is finding that numerous applications are sometimes filed under one name. "They''re steadily coming in, and we are finding a huge number of duplications.

In Oak Park, clerk Sandra Gadd said they have been seeing "lots of duplication" from ACORN in recent months.

Lagstein said ACORN''s Detroit office has hired dozens of employees for the voter registration program.

Dems do it, accuse Republicans of doing it.

Whenever the left accuses the Right of doing something, you can be sure that the left is actually doing.

This sort of thing is just preparation for the unlikely possibility that the main marxist doesn't get elected. Then the left will claim massive voter fraud.

"Ay, oh way to go Ohio."

These Hollywood idiots just can't resist. I won't watch the Simpson's ever again. "Ohio"? The community activist voter drives are more akin to a marxist party election. It doesn't seem to bother leftists that more people register than are recorded as residents, or that fictitious names and addresses are used on voter registration cards.

I love the great sight gags on "The Simpsons", as well as its clever theme, but Matt Groening, their creator, has been liberal for years and years. That's the main reason I don't watch the show on a regular basis - it's loaded with liberal rants.
