Matt my boy, I share your thoughts exactly. Why on earth should I have any confidence that someone who organized small communities, has been indoctrinated for 20 years by a mentor who hates America and is a total racist, has never authored any significant legislation, feels that 5 year old children need to understand the terror of spontaneous ejeculation, cannot compose a coherent sentence without it being written on a teleprompter, has no decision making experience whatsoever, befriends terrorists, WOULD BE, not COULD BE our leader.

This is just crazy, they are first saying that Palin will be president.  Where did this "actuary table" come from that McCain won't live through his presidency?  1 in 3 chance, give me a break.  Second, they are still going the experience route with Palin saying they don't know about her?  What about Obama?  We really don't know anything of substance about him?  What was he doing in (whatever country he lived in for years)?  What is his REAL relationship with Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright and Tony Rezko?  We don't know.  As Glenn Beck said it best, it is a candidates' judgement that we should take into account, not so much their experience.  Palin's judgement is lipstick over heels better than Obama's.  Thirdly, what in the world does dinosaurs have to do with the election?  This line of thought boggles my mind.  Lastly, I'd rather have a hockey mom that shoots moose talking to Putin than Obama who believes rainbows and unicorm tears can fuel our cars!

Hey just keep the jabs coming.  People and the polls are showing how Americans really feel about Palin and that is all that matters!  I hope he and the other loonies in hollywood will promise to leave the country after McCain and Palin win.  I hear there is prime real estate in Iran!

At least some Disney movies are worth watching. I saw Damon in one of his old spy movies recently. He spoke about 12 lines and I couldn't wait for the flick to end. Like Barry Obama, this jerk must have had some real puppet masters behind him to get him where he is. Damon is your typical ignorant celebrity---know nothing but let your mouth run with foolish inanities.

A straw man argument is when you put words in someone's mouth, which you deliberately place there because they're stupid, and then proclaim how stupid the person must be for believing them. The missing premise, of course, is that the victim of this logical fraud doesn't actually believe what the accuser put into her mouth.

Having used such a disingenuous, and obviously silly argument, Damon is hardly in any position to condescend to a state governor. Like George Clooney, Damon is an entertaining and interesting actor, who should stick to his day job.

And may I say, John McCain's selection of Sara Palin has unleashed displays of liberal and Hollywood illogic that are unprecedented. This is their standard way of thinking. They have so many unexamined assumptions that it forms a subconscious prejudice, a blindness from which they have no escape. The most obvious of all is that a "real" woman is a liberal feminist abortionist. They just can't compute a conservative woman. They're reacting like a bad Star Trek episode where the computer frazzles and catches fire.

This statement is absolutely comical, and sad at the same time.  First, there is the ego involved, the idea that it is a scary thing that Palin could be president because Matt Damon doesn't know anything about her.  So now the qualifications of our presdents are dependent upon what Matt Damon knows about them?  Also, as someone else posted, one would think that Matt Damon knows little or nothing about any of the candidates for office.  (I'd like to know how Damon would do on a basic civics test; I bet it wouldn't be pretty.)  Finally, how much meaning does it have when a died in the wool Democrat like Damon bad mouths the Republican V.P. candidate in this fashion, which seems to suggest that he would have been open-minded about another McCain choice.  If McCain picked anybody else, Damon would be just as "scared" about that person, for some other idiotic reason.  So his comments are complete empty drivel.

Actuarial tables include heavy smokers, alcoholics, drug addicts, the morbidly obese,  clinically depressed, etc., and lots of people who have never taken care of themselves.

McCain on the other hand, has had and will continue to have the best preventive medical care in the world. 

Invoking those tables is about as sensible as saying Matt Damon is very likely to die while performing real work or serving his country.  

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Matt Damon is producing a documentary that is an adaption of Historian Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States", and stars Matt Damon and the Right-wing Conservative Sean Penn.

It is U.S. history from the usual perspective of the left. As The Hollywood Reporter states:
"The book, first published in 1980, presents American history through a bottoms up approach, focusing on voices seldom heard in history books such as defiant Indians, mutinous soldiers, striking workers, and rebellious women."
