Fresh off her recent assault in which many suspect the culprit to have been 14 Bloody Marys, Air America radio talk host Randi Rhodes has now wandered into Moonbat conspiracy territory with her suggestion that Blackwater was the the cause of the current wildfires in California. Here is a partial transcript (audio available here) of what Randi said on the air on Wednesday:
I started just doing Google searches to try and figure out. You know, arson, arson, it was like crazy trying to figure out why is that being downplayed? Why is that, you know, just a small part of the story? And you know, every time I look for it what comes up, believe it or not, is that Blackwater wants to move to San Diego and build this giant complex in San Diego right where most of the evacuations are taking place and you know.
You just know wherever there is fire, this administration will be out there doing what it does best and that is fanning the flames, you know. It just spooks me, I can’t explain to you how creepy this whole thing is that you know, you’ve got these fires. Some of them are thought to be the work of arsonists and in the same breath you’ve got a community that’s on fire that just recently protested Blackwater West. Just recently said no to Blackwater and apparently you don’t do that.
Story Continues Below Ad ↓I mean, I don’t even know what to think. You know, nobody is saying Blackwater set the fires, that is nobody that doesn’t want their house burned down. Nobody is saying that, but it is all so bizarre that this is America and you have to sort of sit there and wonder … arson, same place Blackwater West wants to be, people protesting. And then you find out that some of the guys that used to work for Blackwater are now in Schwarzenegger’s administration.
It’s all so creepy.
Perhaps Randi needs to take some time off work and volunteer to douse those Calfornia fires with copious quantities of Bloody Marys while wearing a double layer tinfoil hat to protect her leftwing conspiratorial mind from the heat.
UPDATE: The Rhodes "Scholars" on the Randi Rhodes message board are now weighing in on the possibility of Blackwater causing the California fires. It appears they agree with their heroine about the guilt, based on no evidence, of Blackwater. Here is a sampling of their conspiratorial rants:
I thought blackwater was involved in this. I called it a couple of days ago.
Last night Mike Malloy mentioned that he has a suspicion that these fires were set and he said that sounds conspiratorial but after all the years under bushco, truth is scarce and at a premium these days. Mike Malloy also said the wildfires can be used as a great distraction...but this story puts a whole new twist on it.
also there are apparently some blackwater on governor terminatior"s staff...has the gov decided that the black shirts are the ss of amerikas future?? and he wants to be the photo op symbol of their muscle...no no that would just be too much self absorption...wouldnt it rush ...arnold after all smokes 10,000$ worth of havana cigars a month...hes one of us!!! yay yey...look whio we hang out with BLACKWATER AND THE TERMINATOR...SEIG HEIL!!!
Of course Blackwater (or those that have a vested interest in Blackwater) set the fires. How many "convenient coincidences" like this will it take for Americans to finally wake up an realize that it has been an "inside job" before (and including) 911 all along.

October 26, 2007 - 04:52 ET by ArchConservativeDoes anyone even raise an eyebrow any more in the MSM when these lunatics spout their ignornace and hatred? No. It's getting to a tipping point where these fanatics on the left have to be dealt with in a very public way and shown to be the nutjobs and dangerous individuals they really are.
If 20/20 or NightLine or DateLine were ever EVER to do a two or three night expose (like their stings) on these people at Err America and Daily (Lost)Kos, they would crumble.
But the sad fact is the MSM aligns itself with these people and will protect them no matter what it takes. It just makes me glad that the conservative movement doesn't have the level of ignorance or the vast numbers of mind-numbed lemmings that the liberals have.
Hopefully we are able to turn our anger and outrage into votes and victories. Show them that we can outclass and out vote them in 08.

October 26, 2007 - 08:10 ET by danybhoyI heard this segment on John Gibson's radio show on FoxNewsTalk on XM(he's on Sirius as well, 6-9pm EST). I was cracking up, & I then wondered if she had been schweeling again as well.
I then had Geoge Thorogood songs in my head. "1 bourbon,1 scotch,1 beer", & "I drink alone" flooded my head. I also had these same thought when I heard Pete Stark's moronic remarks as well.

You MIGHT just make more bucks and be more successful if you quit the radio gig and started writing your goop down in cheap fiction novels. Besides, apparently writers are inspired through their drinking, although it did very little for me.
Exactly how in the heck do people like this get to walk around spouting this crap that just forms inside their wooden skulls and roll off their tongues?
Hey, Randi, I could probably "google" any number of children related words that you would expect things safe for kids would link to ... and come up with endless porn or child porn sites in the list ... The problem with you, and your ilk, is that you have NO discretion when surfing the web ... You just automatically think everything online is etched in the stone of truth.

Darth Vader jumped out with his light saber and started all the fires.

Why doesn't the media have more coverage on arson?
October 26, 2007 - 08:30 ET by William PhelpsThe media doesn't cover arson because all of the global warming nuts just began their ranting of how these wildfires were caused by climate change. They are torn, though; many want to blame Bush for not having the National Guard come in and blow on the fire. What do they expect the Guard to do that wasn't already being done?
As soon as the global warming aspect of the wildfires losses interest, then the MSM will shift the blame to a potential Blackwater conspiracy.....if it actually makes more sense than it does now. This is even too far-fetched for Olberman or Matthews at this point.
Funny thing is, arson is all I've heard about the wildfires in the last couple of days. Go to Google and type "wildfire arson"; I got several hits just on the proceeding story. They are investigating more into all wildfires, but authorities have confirmed at least two or three arson wildfires. One of the perpetrators ran from police, got cornered, and then was shot to death for attempting to harm an officer. How does she miss a story like that in the news, even liberal news?
Some reports in the MSM did leave out the connection of this guys death to the wildfires, so maybe she misunderstood...or maybe the mai-tais are still causing her to think she's being mugged.

October 26, 2007 - 09:35 ET by MikeBWell, there's Randi lying through her tooth again. Do those brain-dead zombies really believe this feces? Why would Blackwater bother doing something that would result in criminal and civil liability on a scale that could bankrupt the corporation several times over, when they could have the owners evicted via the Kelo decision?
It sounds to me like there are a lot of folks out there off their meds...or taking meds they shouldn't. I swear, if a meteor struck and destroyed the L.A. Basin, these mental midgets would be spinning some huge conspiracy blaming Blackwater or Halliburton or Bush/Cheney/Rove. Hey, dumba**es! Sometimes, doodoo occurs. This is one of those times. Grow up and deal with it.

Randi=very strange
October 26, 2007 - 22:52 ET by celatorI've listened to Randi on Air America from time to time. What I hear in her commentary is a paranoid personality, generally ticked off at everything. I suspect she's been in this state of mind for a long time, and it's skewed her critical thinking to favor a "The big bad boogey men are all out to get us" mentality so favored among left wing kooks. She does sound hungover occasionally, though it's difficult to know for sure.

Randi Rhodes is an insane idiot
October 26, 2007 - 19:19 ET by PopularTechOut of curiosity I wanted to check out Randi and Air America. To prepare myself I took a couple of asprin and turned on the local air america station where the anouncer sounds like he is a little light in the loafers. In no time flat Randi went into hysterics. A caller calls in obviously concerned and confused because Bill "O'Really" (that is what they call him) debunked the hysterics about the Iraq body Count
being only 75,000 and not the 1 million + Randi rants it is and he wanted her to explain it to him, she started getting hysterical, "We have a medical survey from a BRITISH medical journal stating the facts! (she fails to tell him that the lancet survey is estimated based on say a building being destroyed that could house 18 people = 18 people dead and has no actual hard numbers) But it is probably much higher! 2-3 million or more! (I am not making this up) - "Yeah" the caller responds "I knew O'Really was wrong". It got funnier as she directly went into ranting about Blackwater. By the end of the hour the body count had got up to 4 million.
To further punish myself I have tuned in every other day for the last few weeks and without fail they constantly talk about Blackwater. Wildfires? Blackwater. Turkey and the Kurds? Blackwater. Bush down in the polls? Blackwater. Rockies losing the world series? Blackwater.
I now know why liberal talk radio is a disaster. Without the visual props and visual signs of emotion you are left with actually listening to the insane things they say. The sad thing is this is what they "think" conservative radio does. They do not realize that conservative talk radio takes actual facts and beats them into your head. Liberal talk radio trys to beat the emotional insane position into your head thinking it is the same thing. They never have any facts and have to lie or distort reality to fabricate the ones they try to use. Talk radio may be the great equalizer this way showing Randi Rhodes as the insane idiot she really is.
