Hillary Clinton will have a hard time triangulating her way out of the thanks the Daily Kos gave her for suggesting that General David Petraeus was a liar. There is no doubt about their appreciation of her "services" as can be seen in the very title of the Daily Kos thread, "Thank you Hillary for calling Petraeus a liar!" Appreciation for the "services" rendered by Hillary was duly noted by Daily Kos blogger, gopher747:
Thank you Hillary for calling out Petraeus for what he is, a liar and a distorter of facts.
While I still prefer an Edwards/Obama ticket, I just wanted to show some progressive blogosphere love here for Hillary for her calling a spade a spade here, and subsequently setting the right wing howling.
The same thanks applies to MoveOn, for their not allowing Petraeus to parade around like some untouchable holy priest without being called on his crap.
After showing some "progressive love" for Hillary, this Daily Kos blogger goes on to smear Petraeus:
Petraeus is trying to help the Bushies hide their war crimes and war lies behind Petraeus's uniform, a uniform which Petraeus has now disgraced by his working most every MSM venue like a champion media whore.
Other Daily Kos bloggers also weighed in on this thread showing their love for Hillary with these comments:
Hillary went a LOT further than Edwards or Obama did in calling out Petraeus on his crap. And she did it with class (she did it much better than MoveOn did.) And she deserves some love for it!
Hillary called Petraeus a liar, in a classy way, and the proof of the pudding is that Rudy is now foaming at the mouth about it. What more do you want?
More of this "strange new respect" for Hillary by the Daily Kos bloggers can be seen at the DUmmie FUnnies.

[Good question. I just wish one of the many debate moderators would ask that of her.]

where you stand on all of your issues.
Hell take out adds with the NYT, and all the MSM, hell
tattoo it on your forehead. Yell it from the roof tops. You have to take out
adds because the MSM will make sure the things you do that are over the top is
“NOT” reported! Like the damage you bastards did to the Viet Nam memorial!

September 17, 2007 - 08:16 ET by Subsailor599So, Chillary would actually know if the General was lieing? I would think that the General would know more about what is happening in Iraq than presidential-want-a-be junior senator.
Hillary the liar
September 17, 2007 - 08:56 ET by djm159Who better than Hillary to know when someone is lying? The old adage must be true, "it takes one to know one." What I have trouble comprehending is the gall Madam Co-president has in calling anyone else a liar, it laughable.

I can see it now, resembling the July 4th hot dog eating contest, that pic of Hil put up on a jumbo-tron and the contestants immediately begin knawing off their left arms....

It's Genuinely Frightening
September 17, 2007 - 09:04 ET by BourbeauTo comprehend the direction this country is moving in when you see the vile contents of the blogs on the daily Kos: the unabashed pandering to the extreme left wing by the Dem's leaders with their monthly conference calls to the bloggers; the ability of Hillary Clinton to distance herself from any of her past actions, failures, and or weird behavior without even a hint of media challenge; and lastly, the convenient re-writing of history in terms of who was calling for what in Iraq before Bush became president, only to disavow any such notions after. If Conservatives don't wake up soon and take this threat seriously, we're in for some very unsettling times in this country come 2008.
Hillary is the liar
September 17, 2007 - 09:32 ET by ricklailHillary is a the biggest liar I have seen in my life. She is heads above any other politicians. Re: Rose Law Firm and the billing records.
She scares me in that so many people listens to her. She reminds me so much of Jezebel in the Bible. Just like Jezebel did to Nabob she is doing the same thing to Gen. Petraus (?) and our military.
Or is she the great whore?

September 17, 2007 - 10:10 ET by KC MulvilleThe MSM saw the reaction to smearing Petraeus, and they quickly tried to keep the Democrats clean of MoveOn's smear. They kept asking, "did MoveOn overreach?" as a signal to their troops that they should lay low on this one. Just when they thought it was safe, now they see Kos - you know, that same group that summoned the candidates to follow their marching orders a few weeks ago - is displaying the same smear. They're going to either have to distance themselves again, or try and let this one pass.
Never forget: the media doesn't inform, it instructs. When a political event happens, the purpose of every MSM "question" is not to gather information, but to frame the response. They don't tell you what you're thinking, they're telling you what they want you to think.
I wonder how they're going to play this one, or if they'll just ignore it.
