Michael Moore Tells Obama 'End the S***ting on the Poor,' 'Drive the Rich Off Fiscal Cliff'

Schlockumentary filmmaker Michael Moore had some straight talk for Barack Obama Monday.

In a letter to the President published at the perilously liberal Huffington Post, Moore advised Obama to "DRIVE THE RICH RIGHT OFF THEIR FISCAL CLIFF" while putting an end to "the s***ting on the poor."

After predictably gushing and fawning over the President's victory earlier this month, Moore cautioned, "I would like to take a few minutes of your time to respectfully ask that your second term not resemble your first term."

No one's ever accused Moore of being a student of Dale Carnegie's.

He then threw bipartisanship to the wind advising the President, "DO NOT listen to the pundits who are telling you to make the 'grand compromise' or move to the 'center.'"

You see, all that talk of bipartisanship from liberals is nonsense. It's their way or the highway.

As such, Moore made ten demands of the President with the first being that he "DRIVE THE RICH RIGHT OFF THEIR FISCAL CLIFF."

"The 'fiscal cliff' is a ruse," Moore wrote, "an invention by the right and the rich, to try and keep their huge tax breaks. On December 31, let ALL the tax cuts expire."

"Then, on January 1," he continued, "put forth a bill that restores the tax cuts for 98 percent of the public. I dare the Republicans to vote against that! They can't and they won't."

What's fascinating here is that Moore like many liberals claimed throughout the Bush presidency those tax cuts were all for the rich. Now those very same cuts were not only good for 98 percent of the public, it's imperative we keep them for that 98 percent.

The irony is truly delicious.

But Moore wasn't finished for he next demanded the President "declare Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid untouchable. They're not bankrupt or anywhere near it."

The trustees of both programs beg to differ, but why should a propagandist like Moore begin letting facts get in the way of his agenda now.

"If the rich paid the same percentage of Social Security tax on their entire income," he continued, "the same exact rate everyone else pays &-- then there will suddenly be enough money in Social Security to last til at least the year 2080!"

Not surprisingly, those numbers are totally preposterous lacking any financial or economic basis.

Beyond this, the entire premise of Social Security would be voided if folks were required to contribute more to the program without a commensurate increase in benefits when they retired. This would make Social Security a redistribution of wealth which it was never intended to be.

Next, Moore asked the President to "END ALL THE WARS NOW," "END THE DRUG WAR," "DECLARE A MORATORIUM ON HOME FORECLOSURES AND EVICTIONS," "GET MONEY OUT OF POLITICS," "EXPAND OBAMACARE," "RESTORE GLASS-STEAGALL," "REDUCE STUDENT LOAN DEBT," "FREE BRADLEY MANNING" - he "deserves a medal, not prison" - and "ASK US TO DO SOMETHING."

"The next four years can be one of those presidential terms that changed the course of America," wrote Moore as he moved to a conclusion. "I'm sure you will want to be judged on how you stood up for us, restored the middle class, ended the s***ting on the poor and made us a friend to the rest of the world instead of a threat."

Makes you feel all warm and squishy, doesn't it?
