Mark Hamill AKA Luke Skywalker: Mitt Romney 'Not Actually Human'

Mark Hamill, best known as Star Wars hero Luke Skywalker, said this weekend that presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is "not actually human."

On The Red Carpet reported Monday (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary, relevant section one minute in):

MARK HAMILL: I guess it goes back to Robin Hood. People that are fighting for the middle class and for the Have-Nots. It's something that we see even playing out in the presidential race.

And if you don't vote for Barack Obama, you're insane. Cause without him, I think the middle class will completely disappear. And you look at Romney and I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I think he's like The Thing he only imitates human behavior. He's not actually human himself...So God bless him, I'm enjoying him running for office but I just came out as a lifelong Democrat.

For those unfamiliar, The Thing is a science fiction film based on a creature that multiplies by almost perfectly imitating whatever it kills. Nice thing to call someone that could be president next year.

As for the have-nots, don't you just want to grab rich Hollywoodans like Hamill, give them a good shake, and ask them how the middle class is doing after three and a half years of unemployment over eight percent and the lowest employment participation rate in 30 years?

Or would bringing economic facts into the equation be unfair?

Maybe Hamill should either use The Force or have a chat with Yoda to improve his economic acumen.

Just  saying.
