Chris Matthews: 'In North Carolina a New PPP Poll Has Romney Up By 2 - That’s Not Good'
Chris Matthews on Tuesday's Hardball gave viewers a preview of what's going to happen on MSNBC the next five months any time a poll comes in showing Mitt Romney leading President Obama.
"In North Carolina a new PPP poll has Romney up by two - that’s not good" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
CHRIS MATTHEWS: New poll numbers from a key battleground state, Pennsylvania. Let’s check the Hardball scoreboard. Here it is. According to a new Quinnipiac poll, President Obama has a, this isn’t big, a six point lead over Mitt Romney in Pennsylvania, 46 to 40. That’s not great. The President’s not yet over 50 in Pennsylvania, a state he won by ten points in 2008, and needs to win fairly comfortably.
And in North Carolina a new PPP poll has Romney up by two - that’s not good. 48 to 46. It’s Romney’s first lead in the PPP poll in the Tar Heel State since October.

Have MSNBC anchors been told by their superiors to just drop any pretense of impartiality at this point and just flat campaign for Obama as if they worked for him?
"That's not good."
For who, Mr. Matthews? For who?

It has now been disclosed that the most hardened Al Qaeda operatives at GITMO, who withstood nonstop "Sesame Street" jingles, withered under just 15 minutes of "Hardball".
Detainees objected to the pornographic nature of Matthews' adoration of Obama.

They just openly campaign now by telling us who we should be voting for.
By the time September rolls around they will have an Obama 2012 sign in the background.

Kind of like in the movie "Idiocracy" where they thought Joe's name was "Not Sure". Anything we can do to make sure Tingles doesn't lose that "not good" feeling makes me feel good.
When Romney's elected....

Is to see moving boxes in front of the White House. I'm not asking for much. Just a little common sense.
Don't forget, in addition to the moving van, we need to see...

I have news for Chris Matthews

I travel to NC at least once a month on business. Based on the numerous conversations I've had with people in the state, I would be willing to bet Obama will lose by at least 7 points. Obama will not win NC this time around, the entire Democratic party in the state is corrupt...it's like mini Chicago.
For once I agree with Chris Matthews.

When he say: 'In North Carolina a New PPP Poll Has Romney Up By Two - That’s Not Good'
I agree, Romney up by twelve would be good, up twenty-two would be much better.
- Looking forward to the self-annihilation of the Manipulated Stories Machine.
I beg to differ with Matthews. It IS good! Hopefully...

Romney's lead in North Carolina will increase even more between now and election day. (And in every other State as well.)
Two points is too close. It is within cheating range of the Democrats. We need to increase it to six points at least.
That's only going to happen

That's only going to happen if Romney quits running a campaign around the idea of - Hey I'm not Obama. If doesn't have some bold initiatives to announce that people can get behind or if he picks a running mate that further alienates the conservative base more than he already has... this race is lost in very low turn out.
I've voted for the Republican candidate for President every time since 1984 and based on what I've seen and heard from the Romney camp thus far I'll be part of the conservative base who sits this one out come November.
Oh Chris you so

Oh Chris you so stooopid!
Wake up poll watchers, Obama is well below 50% in all the key swing states even in left leaning polls favoring Democrats like Quinnipiac, Pew and PPP. Incumbents polling like that at this point in a race are usually toast because the vast majority of the electorate has already made up their mind about the incumbent well before hand and those minds won't change. 52-58% of voters are not going to vote for Obama in these states, but fortunately for him that's only half the bargain. The other half is that challenger has to convince those people he's worth voting for and to turn out and that's were Mitt Romney is a colossal failure to this point.
Had the Republican put up anything close to a decent candidate, someone who could legitimately claim to be a conservative, could make bold proposals without inciting laughter... this race would already be over and Obama would lose in a landslide.
But they didn't, they nominated a blue-state leftist little different than the incumbent so we'll just have to wait and see which of the disaffected based doesn't bother to show up and hands the victory to the other side by default.

I occasionally give Tingles a pass for his comments, and I think I'll try to do that here ... Ahem ....
When he speaks of the +6 lead in PA, he says, "that's not great," and I think he means "that's nothing for Democrats to brad about, not a comfortable enough lead for him to relax in PA."
Similarly, the "that's not good" reference to +2 in NC may mean "from Obama's point of view."
And looking back over this post before I hit "send," I find that I don't believe a word I'm saying LOL!
Sorry Chris, I did try!
